  1. No reason why it shouldn't be right...those figures look reasonable. It highlights how wasteful Mowbray has generally been in the transfer market. Some very underwhelming players on big money. Bennett £10k, Johnson £8k, Downing £14k (!), Evans £12k, Holtby £15k, Mulgrew £14K, Douglas 10k. All out of contract this summer. About £83k a week if my maths is correct and we wouldn't miss a single one of them. That says everything about Mowbray's management. And then we have Ayala on £15k for 3 seasons. And Pears, the son of Tony's ex-Boro teammate, on a 4 year contract paying him 6x the amount Dolan is on, twice as much as Wharton and the same as Travis. Absolute disgrace. Off you fuck, Mowbray.
  2. And there's a rumoured 40% sell-on to factor in.
  3. "We've won 3 of our last 13 league games....and only 7 out of 23 in the 2nd half of last season" I posted that in September 2020. Not much changes under Mowbray. This season it's 3 wins out of the last 19.
  4. £200. Pay up. You've had an expensive night.
  5. Oops, sorry.👍🤣 It's not easy dealing with some people on here. my nerves may be frayed😉 Anyway, good to know Gav will be paying £100 for not being able to find a post saying I wanted Mowbray to stay, and another £100 for you quoting a post where I wanted Mowbray replaced. Dig deep @Gav🤣
  6. Is that supposed to prove I wanted him to stay? Where does it say that?
  7. I think you're a bit too drunk for this discussion. Maybe read what was said again in the Renewal thread. You're really embarrassing yourself. And, yes, you lied. You're a proven liar. Unless of course you can find the post where I said I wanted Mowbray to stay? Tick tock....
  8. Please refer to my last post. But if you can't find the post where I said I wanted him to stay I'm sure you'll pay up anyway. Nobody likes a liar so crack on and find the post you said you'd seen. It can't be difficult if you've already seen it?? It might mean putting the cheap cider down so I'll forgive you if you want to do it in the morning when you've sobered up.👍
  9. LOL. You're embarrassing yourself.
  10. You said I wanted him to stay. It's in the Renewal thread. Then you said you'd seen the post. Your post, also containing other lies, was deleted. I asked you to quote the post where I said I wanted him to stay? I'm still waiting. I don't usually engage with liars but I'll make an exception for you. When you're ready...
  11. Here you are @Gav, this is me last summer 'wanting Mowbray to stay' as you stated in the Renewal thread. Oh hang on, you lied. You're becoming a bit of a joke.
  12. Don't tell lies Gavin, it's not very becoming. 👍
  13. You held a similarly clear stance last season. Then the summer came and you wanted him to stay. Now here we are again...
  14. We'd get about £15m of that AA money. The Toon would get the rest.
  15. In the month of April. Before that you got very upset if anyone typed 'Tony' and 'out' in the same sentence.
  16. Tony Mowbray confirms Lewis Holtby won't be offered new deal | Lancashire Telegraph Auf Wiedersehen
  17. Holtby on his way, not being offered a new deal according to LT. Mowbray has said it so possibly confirms he's making the decisions for next season. Tony Mowbray confirms Lewis Holtby won't be offered new deal | Lancashire Telegraph
  18. I've not Vulcan mind-melded with you enough though to know if you're taking the p1ss😉
  19. Last chance saloon for the mighty Millers. They need at least a point from this and probably all three. I'd like them to stay up so genuinely not arsed if we win or not. I'm a bad fan!
  20. And whilst I'm on my high horse (!), and in the interests of fairness, the ONE thing I would trust Mowbray with is buying attacking midfielders/forwards who are small and nippy/skilful. Dale looks to fit into that category.
  21. Sunderland news: Black Cats in hunt for Crewe forward Dale (footballinsider247.com) Dale can play all along the front line. He looks left footed in the clips on Sky against Charlton but has played right-wing this season. 12 goals from there is decent and got YPOTM for December in League 1. Looks a talented lad on those brief clips. Writing him off cos he's L1 isn't very intelligent.
  22. Charlton 2-2 Crewe: Owen Dale double denies Addicks | Football News | Sky Sports The Crewe lad we've been linked with scoring two for Crewe t'other week. He looks shit🙄 'Buy League 1 players get League 1 football' is very simplistic and a bit trite. More accurate would be to say 'buy League 1 players not capable of playing higher and get League 1 football'.
  23. Says the man who puts people on 'ignore' and them PM's them to tell them he's putting them on 'ignore'.
  24. Nyambe is a very good defender one-one-one and would probably put the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold to shame (maybe a stretch but you get the point!). But TAA can ping a 50 yard crossfield pass on someone's toe, smash a free kick in for 30 yards and has all the skills of a Brazilian wide midfielder from the 70's. Nyambe obviously can't. The FB role has changed. Because Mowbray effectively copied Liverpool's system this season he'll want at TAA rather than a Nyambe at FB. JRC is probably the closest he's got as he's technically better than Nyambe and uses the ball better. But he's not a patch on Nyambe defensively. Horses for courses. Liverpool don't need FB's who can defend as they are set up to win the ball back before it gets near their defence. They want FB's who can create and score like TAA. I'm not sure Rovers can afford that luxury. Interesting that Pickering looks very similar in style to Andy Robertson from the few video clips I've seen - very attacking, very direct. As for Mowbray, he very much sees himself as a cutting-edge, modern coach. The dinosaur jibes aren't really accurate. He's more like a Klopp fanboy who tries to copy everything Klopp does. Mowbray strives for credibility by association, he drops the right names and uses all the modern football lingo. He just isn't very good at getting results.
