  1. There's a re-brand every summer. This is just the latest one. If it's cheaper - brucie bonus for Tony.
  2. Lewis Holtby hints at new Rovers direction after departure | Lancashire Telegraph The summer re-set is gathering pace. It's a brand new team, young and hungry, for a brand new season. 2021/22 will be different.
  3. Blackburn Rovers News: Pike agrees new contract deal (footballinsider247.com) Pike rumoured to have agreed new deal.
  4. Disappointed there was no 'p.s. and please sack the dickhead manager'
  5. Star players? You made a connection between 15th in the Championship and our Academy.
  6. They forgot to mention that bit in Curmudgeon's Corner.
  7. That's the manager's fault, not the Academy. Put those players with a better manager and you'll get better performances.
  8. Read an interesting interview with David Artell (Crewe manager) the other week discussing Academies. He basically said that the U23's league now is basically the U18's of 10 years ago, and that the football is sanitised and doesn't prepare players for league football. Which makes the numbers coming through our Academy all the more remarkable.
  9. 'Build again' - Rovers make decisions over Academy prospects | Lancashire Telegraph Lenihan, Nyambe, Carter, Wharton, JRC, Travis, Butterworth and Buckley will probably all be prominent in our first team next season. Superb achievement by the Rovers lads. What an Academy! And plenty more to come.
  10. Ain't that the sad truth. See also Downing and Pears.
  11. ...of Bamber Bridge, yes we've covered that. But thanks for the confirmation that the only reason you slag Rovers young players off ad nauseam is because they aren't 'your boys', whatever that means.
  12. Think of it as a mirror for you to look in. Think on👍
  13. Bamber Bridge FC will be very grateful for your efforts in a few years time when they sign for them.
  14. A quote from the LT comments from a Skip Donoghue:- You are correct about the younger players being on peanuts in comparison to the more senior players that have left, Warton has just signed a new deal and had an increase(not been made public yet) JRC is the lowest paid in the whole squad, his contract is being dragged out by the powers that be in the club, they are trying to low ball him even though he isn't asking for anything the other young players are on, I have been told he is majorly not happy with the people who run the club, he gets on great with TM and all the staff and wants to stay, but it's looking more likely he will leave and he is on the verge of asking for his contract to be cancelled, that's how strongly he feels about the way the club are treating him with total disrespect and he is irked by the faceless suits that run the club, so watch this space as far as JRC is concerned
  15. It's easy if you try Dingles below us Above us only sky.
