  1. Our European scouting team were in one of the dinghies filmed going into Dover. They set off from Hull and got lost. Never made it to Europe. Nixon exclusive.
  2. Great podcast. Thanks. Surprised Butterworth doesn't get more of a mention. He looks a real gem. Hopefully he can stay injury-free this season.
  3. Last worked as Mancini's assistant at Galatasaray in 2014. This is from his wiki though:- His prowess as a cook is also revered, and in 2010 he was victorious in the Turkish version of the television programme MasterChef. He certainly left me drooling...
  4. We do. The issue really is we have no cover down the flanks because our wide players aren't particularly good at covering our fullbacks - one of whom (Bell) is fairly awful anyway.
  5. And again, when we're defending was his point. Travis and Nyambe don't hang around up front when we're defending. And anyone paying the slightest bit of attention to Mowbray over the years will have hear him say he plays cautiously because he doesn't want hitting on the break.
  6. He was talking about when we don't have possession. We play a back 4 with 2 sitting CM's.
  7. True, but It's not how Mowbray plays. He likes his 2 CM's to 'recycle possession' as he puts it and not move very far. I'm sure there's' more to both Travis and Evans games and I'm sure they could score more if they got forward.
  8. Yep, he only normally names players when there's an interest or it's close.
  9. they are trying to offload midfielders so possibly, yes. Who knows but the Stoke manager?
  10. Travis and Evans is a very good Championship CM pairing IMO. There aren't many other areas of the pitch we can be as confident in.
  11. Possibly, but Johnson had a reputation at Derby as being the best player on the pitch once every 5 games and a waste of space in the other 4.
  12. if he's unmotivated he's worse than shite. He's also very slow and unfit.
  13. Possibly, but we'd miss Evans a lot more than people realise unless we get someone else in. Johnson is shite and Buckley isn't really a holding M/F.
  14. Sharpe, in fairness, doesn't break many stories, but when Rovers aren't interested in someone he tends dismiss it quite quickly. Likewise, when he sticks his neck on the line like this the transfer normally happens - or at least there is genuine interest. For all the criticism he gets he obviously has someone giving him the nod from inside the club. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18652741.rovers-turn-stoke-defender-solve-defensive-issues/
  15. A vaccine has never been found for a coronavirus (SARS, MERS, common cold etc)

  17. I remember Woy saying that Dahlin was not as good as he remembered him after another gash performance in a Rovers shirt. Woy was obviously using Tony's European scouting network. It spoke volumes about how poorly clubs are run if players are being signed on memory. Kevin Arnott is one of my earliest memories as a Rovers fan. Him and Micky Speight. Arnott was a Sunderland lad iirc.
  18. LT reporting other day that Keith Curle said Rovers rate Wharton highly.
