  1. Wharton's not in the 25 man squad we handed in to the EFL after the January window shut. Johnson and JRC are allegedly on their way back. Trybull,. Holtby and Williams are said to be long term injuries. Holtby is likely done with us and back in Germany with his missus - yeah I'm speculating. Yeah, there are 7 who could start instead of those lacking match fitness.
  2. According to google: A screening opinion lets you find out whether a proposal needs an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) before making a planning application. A request for a screening opinion will normally include: a plan identifying the land.
  3. If Mowbray starts Evans and Brereton that'll be 7 players who aren't match fit. That would be worse than the Barnsley game. It would be like Mowbray is deliberately going out of his way to sabotage us.
  4. Mowbray referred to Brentford in the article asking how their fans regarded losing two on the bounce.
  5. I've had a quick look on the Brentford Forum. No-one is demanding Frank's head. One was bemoaning bully boy tactics Brentford can't overcome. Another, Shamrock Bee posted this line, amongst others "We're on a great journey and I can also take or leave us being a PL club, but I'd love to see us achieve it for MB" Had Brentford ever been in the PL, no fan of theirs would ever talk like this.
  6. I don't know about you, but I had the expectation of Premier League football as Venkys took over, based on their promise to maintain Jack's legacy. We're only winner of the Premier League not to be in it. No other team can say that, Mowbray.
  7. When you posted Embarrassing, I was going to like the comment as it would indeed be embarrassing for us to lose 5-0. Still, we entertain Watford next Wednesday. Plenty of time for us to be embarrassed. Defeats 4 and 5 on the trot are coming.
  8. Four years into the job and he still hasn't created an identity for this team. I'm sure i remember Mowbray saying before the start of first season back that he wanted to create a possession based team and thought it would take time. Our last 2 games both have had 2 shots on target. Mowbray placing all the goals conceded on Ayala not being next to Lenihan. At least he's not blaming them on Nyambe Games are not won on the basis of possession. Mowbray's measuring his success against a meaningless yardstick. Results are the only yardstick. Mowbray's noticed we're against him continuing as manager based on the fact he's not getting us promotion back to the Premier League anytime. Mowbray wants negativity. Burnley fans wanted a chairman out, so a group of them pitched tents on his lawn until he sold out. Our fans are much too nice and genteel to do anything like that.
  9. Manager's get sacked for a reason. Chesterfield passed on Mowbray for a reason. It's my belief that we'd be promoted were any of the 5 appointed now. I've no vested interest in Cowley. I didn't even spell his name correctly. Of the 5, I'd go for Frank Lampard. You may have other possibilities in mind.
  10. Good organiser. Knows what he wants and would have the chance to get that here. We'd get promoted. Likely to be 'cheap'. As with all those on the list comes with positives and negatives.
  11. The list was in no particular order. It was almost alphabetical.
  12. Lots of good names, but we're not focussing on one name we can coalesce around. It can't be someone on HSH's books. We want an end to the malign SEM/Kentaro influence on our club. Perhaps a poll? My top 5, in no particular order: Cowell, Danny Hughes, Mark Pearson, Nigel Lampard., Frank Wagner, David
  13. Gallagher is not playing Armstrong in. This isn't a new problem. This time around most of the team is on Armstrong's side and tend not to pass to Gallagher. This a results in the runs Gallagher makes look like he's a headless chicken running all over the pitch. he doesn't hold the ball up. This is a teachable skill, but we let Graham go. Brereton's another of the returning wounded. So he'd have to be subbed, like Travis and Dack. A 3-4-1-2 would look like: Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan Douglas Dolan Travis Downing(c) Elliott Dack Armstrong Brereton Since Branthwaite and THB have to play - that's 2 of the back 3 subbed (not recommended, so thanks Mowbray - not) and that's the 5 subs. Hope no-one else gets injured. Davenport/Buckley for Travis; Rothwell for Dack and Gallagher for Brereton. Two players going for the same ball usually means they've both been coached to play the same position. The alternative is that the opposition have put the ball where two zones meet pulling both players towards the ball. I'd rather Lenihan concentrated on his defensive duties and shepherding the two loanees, when they're on the pitch (when they are, Lenihan doesn't have time to be captain, as well) Mowbray does do formations. A team lining up in a shapeless mass is in a formation, though it confuses our players more than the opposition.
  14. I can just hope that Watford don't wup us 6-0 next Wednesday likethey did Bristol City. Who knows what Venkys might do in response that loss of face?
  15. Chansiri was pretty damning about Pulis. He called him unprofessional, wanting to play 4-5-1 and that Pulis said his style of play would depend on his opponents. Pulis does not sound like an upgrade on Mowbray. HSH may already have offered Pulis. Were Venkys to go in different direction to that of their advisors, could they keep HSH on as advisors? Highly unlikely, I think. Cooper would be expensive both to prise out of Swansea's grasp and to remunerate. Certainly an upgrade on Mowbray. Paying compensation to hire a manager is not something Venkys have done before. There's also the question about replacing Venus, Lowe and Benson. And Waggott. Can't pot Mowbray without potting Waggott. The choice between leaving the spot vacant til the summer or bringing someone else in. If it's someone previous, Venkys would have to pot Suhail Pasha. Venkys have presumably asked for Pasha's advice on the manager. Were Venkys to take it, it would be hard to see Pasha being removed. Looking to hire someone who already is employed, might explain Venkys delay in potting Mowbray. Reading the report of Swansea's win over Forest, whom Cooper described as a team in good form, their fans were saying a poor performance without energy. Could have been talking about us under Mowbray.
  16. Mowbray has already admitted we won't have the points to get into the playoffs. Your own words were if we don't finish in the top 6, we should change the manager. We know we aren't going to get in the playoffs under Mowbray. Now. Yet you won't. You're not content to be relegated. If you want to keep Mowbray 'til the end of the season, you are content to be relegated. This , you realised and flipped to not being upset were Mowbray sacked today. Losing every game until the end of the season is entirely too likely based on our performances over the past 3 games. Now, you shift the goalpost to doubts about those doing the selecting of a new manager. That's not a reason to keep Mowbray.
  17. You are dismissive of the whole idea of dismissing Mowbray. You have a cavalier attitude to our losing three on the trot and, according to other posters, have not been playing well for a lot longer. You're quite content for us to be relegated, come the end of the season. You agree that we are playing relegation football, yet are unable to grasp that only a change of manger is capable of turning things around. Mowbray's said he's aiming for 70 points, whereas 75 points is required, usually, for the playoffs. Mowbray has admitted the playoffs, which was the minimum acceptable standard at the beginning of the season, cannot be achieved under him. We will not end the season in the top 6, under Mowbray. We know that already, yet you're not on board with a change of manager, now.
  18. Aren't you the one who refuses to accept anyone else's opinion but your own? You want Mowbray to stay til the end of the season. Mowbray's team is playing relegation football not playoff football. With Mowbray we are heading to League 1. Again. We're down to 12th. There are plenty of name being bandied around on the Mowbray's Successor thread. You should check it out - not that is the fans job to select a new manager. Let's look at the team Mowbray put out. The two loanees lack match experience and match fitness. Travis back from a long injury, lacking match fitness. Dack -back from a long injury. Bennett (not that he should be anywhere near the squad) lacking match fitness. 5/11 lacking match fitness is too much to overcome. Downing -his presence was negated by playing the long ball to take advantage of their central defenders being slow. Not to the 6' 5" striker but to the 5' 6" player. The only player capable of holding up the ball, Brereton, took 87 mins to come on with Elliott a winger on after 76 mins. Mowbray brought on Evans who also lacks match fitness. I have no idea what the formation was. Mowbray's formationless football. Clueless football is what I'd call it.
  19. the LEFT wing. beeb showing the formation as 4231 with Bennett wide right.
  20. Nyambe is being gaslighted. What Mowbray is doing is slander. I hope Nyambe's agent has sent an ultimatum all the way to Venkys and copies to the Indian press - either Mowbray goes or Nyambe does. I hope the club has been told that unless Mowbray issues an immediate retraction for what he's said about Nyambe or a case for slander will be initiated. Mowbray wasn't stopped with regard to Raya. I understand the context of @Mercer's post.
  21. I've got some of what I wanted. Downing adding experience next to Travis. Gallagher playing centrally. Dack will be playing just behind the front 2 so not a straight 3-5-2 The wrong - Douglas isn't a wing back. Downing should be captain. Bennett can't be match fit. He is not captain material - or even squad material The ugly - looking at our back three , it's just as well Barnsley have no pace ... oh
