  1. Morning Sigmund 👍 how was the weekend training course?
  2. Has anyone seen the film groundhog day? I think the hardest part is watching, knowing we're on the road to nowhere. Elliot as a striker? Seriously, I know TM lacks creative and intelligent thought, you just have to listen to him talk. But flying wingers as strikers, donkey strikers as wingers, copying Liverpools tactics poorly, he just doesn't seem to have any originality. We should be pushing the play offs, silly mistakes are costing us, we are in essence beating ourselves. It's not good enough for Rovers, we are better than this. But the hardest part of being a rover these days is knowing nothing will happen until we are in dire straights. Oh to the days of being a well run club. Chaddy you don't half do yourself no favours. How old are you out of curiosity?
  3. Fair play Bruce, he should consider what he has said. Big Sam is now at WBA, maybe he'd give us kipre?
  4. Do you have a link or can you provide further information so I can find them, I am curious to read what he said now.
  5. Defender's are coming. And bloody hell do we need one, kipre on loan if poss, will do. Dack, Travis and a strong CB and we have the makings of a good team on paper, whether TM can transfer that to the pitch, is another question.
  6. Can't have been easy to be a rover and witness the destruction of your club from within. We all say things we regret, but we also need to remember they are just words.
  7. I was rounding up lol. It benefits both parties. Dack has a pay rise and some more security, he also as you said has only really agreed an extra year. That means he is still of temptation to 'bigger' clubs, should he return to the heights of old. For us we have him potentially for longer and don't risk losing him for nothing or some silly fee. 2 deeper midfielders such as Travis, Johnson, Holtby should allow plenty of space and opportunity to Dack to get forward and score. He will still be threatening from a bit deeper and the opposition will worry about facing our front 4. If we can get it right it has potential. But I still think we need a better, quicker CB for it to be effective more often.
  8. Great news that Dack has signed a 3 year deal and with an option in our favour so effectively 4. This the season to be jolly 🎄 I am curious to know if there is a release clause and if so how much?
  9. Anything that drives down the ridiculous amount of money player's cost and are paid, seems a good thing to me. Capitalism at its finest is soccer these days and most of it leaves the game and clearly doesn't truly benefit our game. I'm all for salary caps etc as the sport aspect is just diluted by all the dollars involved.
  10. That's disappointing news, but please keep it quiet and don't let the FM dude know as it will change in the game. I love FM and have been playing since the Amiga, getting rovers promoted is child's play, but once up Jones is always one of my no. 1 targets. Him supporting rovers means he will talk and I can get a 150 ca CB, who is home grown for the UEFA Cup.
  11. LOL. 10 quid says he out performs Gally on the right. We could shift Elliott to left back then, that's the Douglas issue solved. 👍😂
  12. Not grabbing Warnock when we had a chance was silly, he is doing well at Middlesbrough. The trouble is we can talk all we want about TM, the owners are donkeys and never act swiftly. We are at their mercy over TM he won't go to quickly, as dack and Arma will make TM their best financial gaffer yet. He could well be here for a while yet.
  13. Jones is versatile, TM will love him haha. I wonder what Jack would say to that! No let's not ask Kenny, he's too good for us... I'm OK with Mowbray for now but expect improvements during the Xmas period. That could change quickly though if results don't improve.
  14. LOL, I saw that you had replied and knew you would agree and came here to write, that I would play a one legged Jones before Lenihan and William's. Haha, great minds. Half a season, can stay at home and gets to play for his 'club', it is worth an ask, the worst answer is no and on we move.
  15. Cannot believe people would say no to Jones after watching William's & Lenihan this season. Even injured he's still better than them 👍
  16. It was always going to happen. What about a cheeky Phil Jones loan, we could pay 10k surely? Pennies and pounds hehe.
  17. Kami Nyambe Wharton Ayala Bellglous Travis Holtby/Johnson Dack Elliott Arma Brereton Gets our best pieces on the playing field. Our front 4 is formidable 👍
  18. I never thought I would be getting jip of a canary supporter..... Need a win next match for sure now.
  19. I preferred the way soccer sounded in the sentence, that's all. We have had some great teams over the years, Hughes would be another one for me as then you would have played with Tugay.
  20. You must be one shocking soccer player. For me it, is an easy choice Dalglish, as then I would have a Premier league winners medal 🥇🤣🤣
  21. We'll make amends when they turn up at Ewood. Armstrong a little less selfish 1st half and it's a very different match.
  22. Well I will take solace in being half right as I went for 3-1 rovers.
  23. I wouldn't want Williams to break down again and be out for longer. If Wharton is out long term, then we need him fit, something we have struggled with to date. If RB is an issue then maybe this Pike lad, but CB is real concern for us moving forward IMO.
  24. I am very much looking forward to this match as after Brentford we should be confident. Nyambe should slot in, alongside Ayala, even if William's is fit. I see little point in risking our Irish man as he is injury prone and we need him for the December games. Result wise I'm going for a win for Rovers and us to finally take our place in the top 6.
