  1. Barnsley are doing well, this will be a hard day for the lads. I'm expecting us to pull a tactical blinder and walk away with all 3 points. I even expect us to keep a clean sheet. Sarcasm is awesome, I have a feeling we will get tonked.
  2. I dunno, perhaps play kami ski up front ala a poacher. He can catch the ball in the box and throw it in to score. I'd be promoting SG, we need his quickness and organisational skills elsewhere in the club as i am fed up waiting for my half time refreshments, galleys skills would be better served there. Other than that have you considered playing TM at the back? He is a solid player and his defensive organisation rivals galleys in the kitchens.
  3. What's the view like on the other side of the hill?
  4. After 10 years plus of their drivel and 'mistakes', I would have thought most would have figured it out. They are clearly dingles in disguise.
  5. I remember posting jokingly SG would be played at CB, but I never in a million years expected it to happen. Wasn't expecting that to happen at all, I was shocked when I saw the score. It's poor and if anyone has a link to the sky interview, I wouldn't say no.
  6. I think Premier league manager to soon to be sacked ass (deliberate) manager (lol) is quite fitting. I'm guessing SEM etc have cut him dry and the best his connections can gain him is that lowly role. Who knows perhaps he has a knife in hand with his silver tongue and soon he'll oust the current incumbent. I am glad the UK seems off limits to him 🇬🇧
  7. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/how-is-ex-blackburn-rovers-manager-steve-kean-getting-on-these-days/ Back where he belongs, karma.
  8. Unfortunately I think our owners will look at it like this and for them it is win win. With TM we will unlikely be relegated, on that I think most can agree. We may or may not get promoted and if we do then happy days they are quids in. But in TM we will make a lot of money, more than he has spent. I will wager they rue sacking GB as he like TM was steady and profitable, so TM will stay, they win either way. Go up great, we won't go down and even if we don't go up dack and Armstrong will eventually move for 20m each easy. We also have others who may fetch a penny or two. Barring disaster, given the results of all their other managers, TM will win for them. The sales will offset loses and 40m covers us for a couple of years. I think our best chance of a new man will be the threat of league one.
  9. Hi Mercer, will you guarantee my stake? If I win you can have 25% of the winnings. Deal? 🤝👍😎
  10. Can you put me in touch with the person who sells it? Pay them per point IE 10 to 20k per point, with a minimum wage hourly rate as their basic. So 8.72?40 hours basic, regardless of time worked and shed loads of dollar for doing well.
  11. I like Chapman, he is unpredictable and has some skill to exploit his mental talent. However, he has shone in flashes and if he goes out on loan and flies, then I think he will look to leave ASAP. He strikes me as a player that needs his mentality managed to get the best out of him.
  12. I wonder if pep, Jurgen etc alter players roles and positions to exploit the opponents weaknesses? Lads you have admirably carried the torch since the change over, thank you. The new layout is nice, user friendly, although the colours are a bit bland and similar to most sites these days. White and another colour seems all the rage these days, everyone uses it. Personally I quite like the websites that have a darker background with lighter wordings. I came across one that had a dark red background, but really dark like an almost black burgundy or claret. I found it very soothing on the eyes, which consequently made reading the site much more bearable on the eyes. Do you think that is something that you would consider using here on BRFCS? Golum.
  13. As long ad Venkys are willing to provide fans with free eggs for life, then they can stay. I like eggs. Please can an ITK let them know, thanks
  14. We will see how young Pickering does once he gets here. I found an FM article that says he's a lower league Roberto Carlos! So I am expecting a kid with legs the size of tree trunks who can smack a ball at 300mph accurately into the top bin from free kicks! Again, we will see. Good signing cannot see us losing money on him, as he is English and a left back at last.
  15. My assumptions are formed from your words, perhaps something to consider? Afield 😂 I will explain, in your and my lifetime, we have achieved such greatness as winning the Premier league. A club 'legend' is the elite of the elite, shearer, garner etc. Benno has done nothing like that and being in league 1 is our lowest ranking in both our lifetimes. They do not compare and so to call Benno a legend insults the likes of our true legends. I too enjoyed winning week in, week out for the first time in years, but we are celtic in league 1. I'll help one last time as the issue is clear. You whole stance is based on emotion and opinion ergo it has no substance or foundation. Houses are built on foundations and if quicksand was the foundation upon which a house was built it would sink. So by comparing your stance to a house that will 100% sink is me saying your stance is based on similar and so it will not hold in discussion and will 'sink', as clearly it has. Legend status should be more than you enjoyed it, liked him, he did well in league one. The disrespect it shows to true legends is rather large. Anyway I've just had a thought, time for food......
  16. I'm not trying to imply that Bell is a wrong un more that the attitude or suggestion to pay him off seems sillly/wrong. It was suggested by another poster that we should do this and given the ludicrous nature of that suggestion given previous antics is poor by a supporter. Our current 2 are not up to the task, an improvement in this area would be good. He is young, nationalised so even if he flops we should be able to get something for him. I kinda see him like a bet, where your stake is guaranteed. So you don't think/expect football players should have a good attitude at work? Those that do should be club legends? I think working hard and displaying a good attitude at work is expected regardless. What attitude would you display in a job that paid you 5k a week? I think the fact you state these expected attitudes /approaches are to be commended and entitle players to respect etc., demonstrates more about how you perceive football players than anything else. Working hard in any job is to be expected, no one wants an antagonist in the team. Shrewsbury? Mate I am 45, I was at a field in 95, they were legends. Playing well against Shrewsbury just doesn't compare, nor does playing well once. My grandfather hit a hole in one once, he got a cup and everything, it was a superb performance.... Do you see where I am going. The fact you are using expected aspects in every job on the planet, as being rare, and worthy of the most extreme praise to support your stance, is like building a house on quicksand. Thanks benno, bye benno, thanks for the amazing match against champions league winners Shrewsbury, oh and for helping send us to league one in the first place.
  17. Its normal to them. I'm glad he has helped in the community, plenty of other jobs do too. Pray tell how he has been superb, a few examples of this would be good. Why does he deserve more respect? He gets paid whether he contributes on the pitch or not and very handsomely at that. Being a football player comes with many benefits that other jobs do not, full pay when sick or unable to work, for example. Does the same happen in other sports? Perhaps we should buy him a watch?
  18. We've done more of that than any club, ever, it must stop. If we are to pay him up he can come in, lay out cones, sweep the changing room etc etc. Keep him, you never know. In a normal job past successes count for nought 2-3 years down the line. Rovers need to be more ruthless with the money and unfortunately benno is surplus, thanks but bye.... Pickering, why not, send them one of our duffer left backs instead of loaning back Harry.
  19. What did Sonny Bradley look like for Luton, I've heard good things. We won, I am glad and we have moved closer to the play off places. But it is one game and we have to actually get in the play offs, for a change. 3 points matters most, now we need to get them when the pressure is on and break the top 6 duck.
  20. Get in we won a match and I had money on us to win along with oxford and tranmere! 10-1 happy days!!! We don't half leave it late though....
  21. It probably just means that big Sam thinks he's pants haha.
  22. Dude just break sweat in the gym, they flock and it's cheaper haha. I have edited lol.
  23. Are we really debating whether licking (kicking roflmao predictive text) a player in the head warrants a red card? Kick in the head = red Intentional or not. It will be brushed under the carpet, ref's don't make mistakes 😉 The lad will learn, failure, fucking up, getting it wrong is a crucial part of that process. Experiencing them young should be seen as a positive, they are cocky/confident enough to bounce back quickly as mental resilience is key in sport. If he doesn't then he wasn't good enough, simples.
