There's nothing logical about Venky's. I expect he'll get the can at some random point or if he is to be potted towards the end of the season. If he doesn't start getting some results, then even the Vs cannot ignore the fact his performance is beyond crap at present. 1 in 12 gets you canned at 91 clubs in England, except rovers it seems.......

Every club does the above, even cat 3s for christ sake. It is as you say abysmal and quite frankly pathetic, given the money some of these people earn.

Historically our academy hasn't been all that good. Before Jones etc who do we produce? I'd honestly like to see a complete club shake up, top to toe, board, 1st team and academy, as I think we can do much better than we have to date. Imagine a good well run club backed by billionaires! Well remember as we had Jack.

We should have scouts working the grass roots circuit like mad, there are 1.5m kids playing across the UK and about 400 at each club. You cannot tell me some of them are not capable of making the grade. Football is lazy.

I'm not going to tolerate TM over the summer, it will be groundhog day all over again. Defenders are coming, 2-3 ex Boro players, we're aiming for the play offs, I spent 10m on him for the future or lalalala. If he is still here I will abstain from rovers till the first game of the season.

At the end of day, if TM is ignoring the data/recruitment team, then why would they stay? Overall his recruitment of permanent players has been awful, as only 2 really stand out, Dack & Armstrong.

The youth circuit is a small world and picking up cast offs from bigger clubs hardly smacks of quality scouting/recruitment.

I'd be playing our 12m pound wing force as strikers, they can share the role and offer different attributes in the same position. I cannot think why I want to play 2 players who have played as striker's all their careers as striker's, I suppose you could call it a feeling, that they might do better there. For some reason it seems sensible, but obviously I won't argue with experts like TM. If Armstrong leaves I wouldn't be buying a striker, BB and SG can play there so that's 2. Other areas are far less well stocked and require attention well before we invest further in striker's.

Has Waggers not already tried this at his previous clubs ie cov, (not 100%) Gillingham & Southend? They may have sold the land, but I am pretty sure they do not have new training grounds. 4th time lucky? This will be the most lucrative of the lot of them and people actually have faith he might get it right, for once. I expect the land to be sold. The academy to stay exactly the same and the money to be hoovered up in running costs / other.

Accrington Stanley's old changing rooms? To be fair one of my old local teams Exeter had Portakabins as there only buildings at their training ground,they're academy does alright. Even England internationals can be developed 'rough'. Do Portakabins fall under the 2 storey rule on Brockhall? If not we could stack them like in ready player one.

Completely off topic but I saw the speeding penalties the other day and was rather shocked at their severity. Being caught doing over 100mph results in a 2 year ban, 3 months wages fine and x points. A long time ago, I was once sent a photo of me doing 130mph on the entry ramp to a motorway, despite taking pride of place of my speed mantel board, I got 3 points and about a £100 fine. When did they become so severe? 68 in a 60, a motorway as well is hardly ban worthy imo. The rozzers should try catching criminals.
