  1. It’s not all bad. We’re still 6th despite only 1 League win in 8. The squad has coped until recently however now the cracks are starting to show after too many games for the remaining players like Tronstad & Batth. A blind man can see that reinforcements are needed. But they have to be better than what we’ve already got or there’s no progression. Unfortunately these owners and the CEO only plan from one window to the next and there is zero ambition to progress, in fact they’ve consistently shown they actively avoid it. Let’s hope at very least for more bodies in the door of better quality. Whilst some have the excuse of fatigue, there were players out there tonight who simply don’t deserve to play for Blackburn Rovers FC.
  2. He was awful tonight. Ball watching and half hearted attempts to defend for both goals. A squad player at best that should be nowhere near the starting XI for a club in the top 6 of the Championship.
  3. He was awful. 5 Years of solid mediocrity with a minor high of getting out of League One at the first attempt, all be it trumped by an inferior Wigan side. He is in my opinion a key reason for the current state of the club. His successors both show a HUGE improvement in ambition and respect for the fans.
  4. New song, to the tune of Spurs Chas & Dave song 🎶 Eustace taking us to Wembley Rovers gonna do it again No-ones gonna stop em The boys from Blackburn The boys from Ewood Park Repeat to fade.

  6. Wiemann says otherwise. His recent goals prove he’s still got it, at very least for this season.
  7. Lots of age snobbery on this thread despite most posters (myself included) being 40+ Can someone tell me with any authority why 33 means you’re past it? Wiemann is 33 but made some key contributions this season and his experience is invaluable. The Dingles have just signed Ashley Barnes who is 35. No-one is saying Forshaw is in his prime, or Sanderson is coming in as the next Ryan Nelsen, but there are different reasons for signing a player and Eustace clearly values experience. It is essential in this league. Some people need to be realistic. We all know how our owners operate and they do not shell out cash in January (or at all 😂) Lose the anger against them and set your expectations at the level we are at.
  8. Fair point. I’m pretty sure Alan Shearer at 50+ would score more goals in a season that Gueye though 🫢
  9. Incorrect as the below proves. But keep on with the negativity, you’re clearly an expert at it 😉 They’re Rovers now so let’s get behind them and pray for better signings for the forward line where we need them 🤞🏻
  10. One fan said that, let’s not twist the facts. Also that fan was also likely smacked up on home brewed ciderrrr 🥴
  11. Tell us something we don’t know already.
  12. I can only go off what I’ve seen in the flesh and he bossed the game at Ewood only last season. Also hard to judge a player managed by Shrek himself. We’ll see but I think he’s a decent addition. I liked Baker but I thought he was a little passive and drifted in and out of games when he did play. Forshaw is all action & a bit of a terrier just hope he does still have some life in him yet.
  13. Yeah let’s trust a set of fans whose team have spent the best part of the last decade in League 1 or 2 Like I said, he’s only cover
  14. Toth JRC Hyam McFaz Beck Wiemann Buckley Hedges Leonard Gueye Cantwell
  15. Good signing. Rewriting as someone deleted my last post for some reason 🤔 Replaces Baker straight away & adds experience and he’s combative which is what we need. He’s only cover and won’t start when Trav is back. So I’m not sure what people expect? He literally ran the game last season at Ewood. All be it only against Buckley & Ayari but it wasn’t that long ago so he can’t be “past it” as some have described. Hopefully better to come but it’s a start.
  16. The summer window was positive but the Head of Recruitment likely responsible for the better transfers has now left the club. I wouldn’t trust the people making decisions behind the scenes at Blackburn Rovers. There’s a reason for 15 years of steady decline.
  17. Good idea and a welcome improvement. I can’t go to every game so am considering it.
  18. Buckley is much worse than Baker, proven by Eustace picking him ahead of JB in every single fixture that a Travis/Tronstad replacement has been necessary. For me he’s gone backwards since the loan to Sheffield Wednesday and previous long term knee injury. Too slow on the ball and doesn’t see the bigger picture straight away leading to either being dispossessed or our attacks gaining any traction. I thought he was very poor off the bench v Dingles, not what you’d expect of a homegrown player.
  19. Lets focus on the positives yeah? New Flexi-Ticket what we all thinking of that? 7 of any of the 10 remaining home games for £139 so less than £20 a game & a guaranteed seat at the home of football 🌹
  20. When is the Flag coming out that was supposed to be at the Burnley game?
  21. I just got an email from the club asking for suggestions for what to have on it for the Burnley game. I suggested “Pride of Lancashire” with blue & white halves, a red rose and 18 75 in each half. Would be class if they did it! Maybe for the PNE game?
  22. What happened to the big flag the club sent a poll out about? It was supposed to come out before the game. Yet another let down from the club on what was a good idea and who knows could have provided the extra inspiration for the players to really go after Bumley on the day. Apart from Callum Brittain I don’t think any of our lads showed the energy or passion required to win this game. I heard it was due to Venky’s not signing off on it but if anyone knows for certain I would be interested to know? Another failure for Steve and his bunch of merry men in any case!

  24. I think the majority of Rovers fans are reasonable enough to agree that we aren’t punching at the level of Leeds, Bumley or Sheffield United. We simply don’t have the resources, income or squad depth. BUT we can and have competed in this league under the current and previous managers and as it stands still have a good chance of making the play offs. As we did under Mowbray, as we did under JDT. This would be made stronger by the owners showing even a minimal amount of ambition and investing in the January window. Eustace is calling for this now, as did Mowbray, as did JDT in similar circumstances. Unfortunately the managers, club and supporters have been consistently let down and gaslit by Waggott and Venky’s time and time again. They are making short term decisions and the long term success of the club clearly isn’t a priority or ambition. They’ve proven that and I don’t see it changing any time soon. Further thoughts….. Yesterday’s result hurt because I think we all had the expectation we could get a positive result at Ewood against Bumley for the first time in years. But we fell short again and had to witness a huge amount of shithousery, enabled by poor refereeing, feigning injury, time wasting, goading of our fans by their little boy goalkeeper James Trafford (who couldn’t hack it in the Prem) and complete disrespect by their players for the 2nd time in a row at Ewood at full time. Also Connor Roberts - what an absolute pussy at right back; went down 4 times during the match feigning injury and left crying by the advertisement boards when Wiemann gave him the slightest of nudges. Absolutely pathetic. Genuinely believe our players wouldn’t resort to these levels of disrespect that we saw yesterday and it represents the class-less club that they are and always have been. We’ll have our day again. It just wasn’t to be this time. Our trophy cabinet & history will always eclipse theirs though. No matter how many times they benefit financially from the yo-yo effect of the Premier League - they’ve never been good enough to stay there in the long term and achieve the kind of regular success that we had in the 90’s & 00’s, winning 2 major trophies. COYB 🌹
