  1. I see what you mean. From Wikipedia: Spelt (Triticum spelta), also known as dinkel wheat[2]or hulled wheat,[2] is a species of wheat that has been cultivated since approximately 5000 BC.
  2. I somehow got the impression that JB won't be doing that.
  3. I thought the point of the Academy was to provide us with our own top players so we didn't have to buy them.
  4. Didn't mind the group stages. When they let teams in who weren't champions then it just became a total farce. That was the moment when football started on its trajectory towards the boring, uncompetitive shyte we see today. And ITVs commentary was unbearable at times.
  5. Not to be pedantic or anything but Sunday is the 25th.
  6. What is this weekends tipple?
  7. In the early 2000s Rovers went an entire season without being given a penalty.
  8. I'm sure as sure can be that United played 12 every week. Bizarrely one of them was always in black.
  9. Proper wingers. Not like this inverted wide forward bollocks.
  10. Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs - Wooly Bully
  11. I definitely heard that one from more than one person.
  12. I miss the cavalier approach of the 90s. Far more entertaining and exciting than "a well organised press" Remember when players used to take each other on?
  13. I got both emails. One had been consigned to the bin whereas the other was deemed fine 🤷‍♂️ I am now sitting by the mailbox eagerly awaiting its arrival.
  14. Right before his move to Australia. I actually remember him scoring. Can't remember who against.
  15. Ramones - Judy Is A Punk
  16. No point bringing through the academy players if they don't have the experienced pros to learn from and help them along. We need someone senior with experience in midfield. Whether that means signing someone or Dack dropping back a bit. We've addressed this in defence and so hopefully midfield will be next. I love that we have so many academy graduates in the team but just throwing them out there without any real help is not going help them reach their potential and will stifle the progression of the club. If we aren't trying for promotion then we may as well shut the doors.
  17. It was a throwaway comment that rigger has taken very seriously.
  18. That's more like it.
  19. The wealthy teams would always have the most longevity and consistency over the whole season but I think you have to go back to the 60s or something to find a time when the playing field was pretty even. Apart from the very top top teams, of which we were once one, the league was fairly competitive. Anyone could beat anyone and every team had at least one or two first class players that really were a joy to watch. When city were bought out it really was the final nail in that era. Year after year it has become less and less competitive and more and more predictable and boring. So as incredible as it is to watch an all star cast in sky blue totally dominate and destroy teams, it is also somewhat boring.
  20. Since the deliberate relegation from the Premier League there has never been any attempt made to get back there. They have never been serious about promotion.
  21. Census? Let's get this thread back on track. Fuck off Burnley.
  22. Apparently they can only offer a three year deal at that age.
