Backing JDT with any kind of decent funding would have yielded great results. He's a winner and ambitious players will see that and want to be a part of what he was trying to achieve. Unfortunately the ambition ended with him and as soon as the slightest glimpse at the rest of the club was seen by potential players they were off to a real club. Had he been given even £1million in the January window we'd have likely managed to get into the automatic places. Instead the owners and their underlings did everything they could to sabotage those efforts.

Second, you're metric of the academy producing players is an interesting one. It would be interesting to see the amount of Premier League appearances made by academy players prior to the takeover. I can only think of two that have made it at that level since.
