  1. I loved Zola. He was first rate. That backheel goal he scored 🤌
  2. Yes. Maybe saying he's shit is a bit much. He's certainly no St Vincent. But as you say the fixtures that England have had in the knockout stages have been very generous and if they hadn't have won all of those games the question of "is Southgate a shit manager?" Would be met with a resounding yes. As soon as they have come up against any real opposition they have crumbled. For me Southgate embodies a lot of what is wrong with the English game. This mentality of trying not to lose rather than going out to win is the absolute bane of English football. It's the main reason I don't like Eustace here. England have got a great squad and they will fall short because the man in the dugout is not a winner he is bang average at best. Mediocre as a player and mediocre as a manager. If he was announced as the next Rovers manager I wouldn't be too happy about it. Just to add: He's got Wharton, Bellingham and Kane. That's enough to win against anyone.
  3. It was usually 1 or 2 million either way. Some years in the black some in the red. The total debt was about 20 million. Those operating figures were unheard of at any other club than united and Liverpool. We were the only club other than them to turn a profit. As soon as venkys arrived the huge losses started and they continued until the fraud investigation got really underway.
  4. Gang Of Four - Damaged Goods
  5. Jesus Christ you're like a dog with a bone. That particular post in question was made days before you went out of your way to dislike it so you could have easily moved on. Either move on to the next post or try getting a sense of humour perhaps. All because I said Gareth Southgate is a shit manager. Talk about childish.
  6. One hundred percent. Although just add a caveat there, this was Chelsea pre Abramovich.
  7. But you get more of all of that in the Premier League. They did everything they could to get us out of that division as fast as possible and have scuttled an attempt to ever get back there so what you're saying is bollocks. As soon as they took over we immediately started losing circa 20 million a year. That's been pretty consistent for the last 14 years. Sometimes more sometimes less but the amount has been around that 15-20 million loss every year. I suspect that this club is nothing more than an accounting tool to them. The fact they are under investigation for fraud relating specifically to money they've been sending over here speaks volumes. I may be wrong of course but there's an awful lot of things pointing in a similar direction.
  8. Because someone in India has looked at the numbers and said a league one club is cheaper to run than a championship club.
  9. Think you're being a bit harsh there Tyrone. He had a really bad run after being thrown into a boiling cauldron when he wasn't ready. To expect a 24 year old with no experience in English football to replace Kaminski, a top level keeper is ridiculous. This is Venky Rovers though and what would be complete suicide at any other club is mandatory policy here. We nearly got relegated last season because the owners once again deliberately tried to relegate the club.
  10. Well they tried to deliberately relegate us last year. I suspect this is the reason.
  11. So you don't agree that Rovers are the greatest club in the world? You can always just scroll down the page you know.
  12. Misses out on a grammatical technicality. The Beatles - And I Love Her
  13. Well we'll be in league one at the end of the season so who knows.
  14. Both figures are totally pathetic.
  15. You could be proud back then that we were probably the best run club in the world.
  16. We'd have shifted a fair few this time last year if anyone down there had the brain power to put them up for sale at a decent price.
  17. He is the living embodiment of a wet lettuce.
  18. Hahaha You've just gone and disliked a shit load of my previous posts on numerous threads. What are you twelve or something? All because I said Southgate is not a good enough manager for the England national team. Are you his secret love child?
  19. But at £200 it wouldn't matter if you missed a few games. That's the point.
  20. Time for a lesson in basic arithmetic. 349/23= 15.17 That is more than 15. Secondly, how can you know 100% you can make it to every single game? The fixtures are not out yet. What if there's some other reason you can't go. You beligerantly miss the point here. As stated by numerous people numerous times, the prices should be a good deal for everyone. At present they aren't.
  21. Back in my day it was £1
  22. How else are we supposed to pay people's wages?
  23. First of all I it isn't £15 a game it's more than that. Since we're talking hypothetical scenarios how's about this one. I just go with a few mates. No kids just me and a few other lads. Sometimes have to work away so will miss at least 5 games (given all the extra sky tv fuckery) Ticket prices are £350. Given the most amount of games I can fully commit to is 19 that makes it £18.42 a game. Not really such a great deal now is it. We don't even know the fixture dates yet. Say you end up missing a couple more, now we're at £20.59 a match. It's a shit deal, the way the price structure has been put together is cynical and has disgusting penalty fees attached. Trying to spin this in a positive light just makes you look like a waggot and venky stooge. The price should be fair for everyone. Anything below 12,000 season tickets sold is total failure.
  24. I don't need a detailed rundown of your Saturday night.
