  1. In all fairness some on here were trying to claim our game against the non entity that is Preston North End was more important than the dingles. No it fucking isn't.
  2. After 14 years it's pretty obvious they have no shame. You need self respect for that.
  3. So you'd get rid of the last major trophy we won for some shit internationals that hardly anyone gives a fuck about? Very strange.
  4. I think their owners are in danger of doing a Leeds if they don't win promotion. The impression I've got from what little notice I've paid to them is that everything seems to be mortgaged up to the eyeballs banking on them reaching the prem. They've outspent everyone else in the division again and have appointed a manager that has already got two teams promoted. If they don't manage to go up ot will be a huge failure. Hopefully they do fail, are completely financially fucked and fuck off back down to division four where they belong.
  5. I still reckon the 1965 BRFCS ones from Ribero are the best. That is honestly the best Rovers shirt I've ever had.
  6. I love how they're complaining about the fact they've sold a lot of players and they're in 'turmoil'. We've been owned by venkys for 14 years you simpletons. They are the only reason you have ever beaten us in the last few years. Don't ever forget that.
  7. The main thing I remember about him was yelling AWAY at corners. The joys of sitting behind the goal.
  8. He's our new keeper. He says his coach told him he should be in goal because he's crazy. I think you need a big personality to be a great keeper. Hopefully he is Brad Friedel reincarnated.
  9. I really hope so. I'd love for them to return to their rightful place in the bowels of the football league.
  10. Before the inevitable January sabotage of course.
  11. Looks like we really rattled them there. I think a lot of them know that the only reason they're above us and have the upper hand is because venkys came and systematically destroyed everything at this club from the inside out. They don't sing long live venkys for nothing. Their obsession with Rovers has always been very strange. Even in 2000 they were giving it the big un despite us being lightyears ahead of them. A good old 5-0 hammering put them in their place.
  12. They've always thought that they're some massive club for some reason. A really odd bunch.
  13. He could have walked away without taking any severance easily enough but unless it had been agreed with the club he wouldn't be able to take another job until his contract expired. I suspect the club wouldn't release him from that aspect of the contract. He stayed on, we had a decent enough start then the paper thin squad was riddled with injuries and form started to take a nosedive. Once the Sweden job came his way he was clearly looking for an out and had lost all interest in working for the frauds at Ewood. All could have easily been avoided by giving him the actual backing he wanted and needed instead of having a fire sale and deliberately weakening the squad. Also what left winger posted above.
  14. The winner in the quarter finals was offside and the Argentina captain was mysteriously sent off after 35 minutes. Known in Argentina as the theft of the century.
  15. The Who - Out In The Street
  16. I find it somewhat disgusting that a band that loves to play up their 'ard working class' origins would charge actual working class people £150 a ticket to go to their gig. I suppose when you're only in it for the money it's not a difficult decision.
  17. If VAR was around back then England wouldn't have even got to the final.
  18. Yes, by December we really were running on fumes. That squad we had last year was absolutely awful. Funny how when JDT and the Egg wanted to bring in some experience they were blocked by the owners. When the manager offers his resignation before the season starts and he's forced to stay it's never going to end well.
  19. So a through ball then.
  20. 40-50 a year minimum.
  21. This is absolutely delusional. That was one of the most one sided referee performances I've seen in years. It was like watching us play at old Trafford in the 90s and 2000s. He was absolutely desperate to give you a goal but in the end failed. In the end 10 man Rovers were held to a 1-1 draw by 14 man Burnley. I still think you'll easily win the league, there's some really good players in the squad. I think the problem you'll have is that a lot of those players looked like they think playing for Burnley in the second tier is beneath them. They looked like they will bottle it when it comes to the crunch IMO, however not every team is going to fight the way Rovers did so I think you'll steam roll most of the teams in this division. I do enjoy your post match reports but I'd appreciate if you remain consistent with posting them, I noticed that you missed last week's game.
  22. He's not the best player in the world but he's got his strengths. He's actually quite a good finisher and will score goals.
  23. It was actually quite surprising given it was only 1-1. If we were winning 3-0 I could understand why they'd be so silent. They really are a strange bunch. Maybe it's a result of the high proportion of cleft palates and Hapsburg Jaws amongst their fanbase.
