  1. Neither team look like creating much. Low quality game. Anyone decent would beat Hull. Would have been a good game for Holtby. Johnson just hoofs it long every time
  2. Boring Mowbray team. Mowbray favourite Bennet and downing out wide. Can see some exciting stuff this game..............
  3. The injuries mean we should be changing the formation to suit the players available...we all know this wont happen though. Id also be brave and play what ball players we have over the scrappers. Again Tony wont agree. Walton Nyambe Lenihan Tosin Downing Chapman Travis Davenport Armstrong Gallagher Graham In reality Bennett will be back in on the wing alongside and Johnson in the middle. Bore fest.
  4. Notice Reuben Rochina scored for Levante against Barcelona yesterday. Seems to have done ok for himself since leaving here.
  5. Chapman just posted a video on Instagram of him watching tv with two inflated leg braces or something on. Presume hes managing some sort of issue.
  6. Those injuries sound really horrific. "His eye socket was shattered. You could see that when he went past on the stretcher" ? Wish him well. Will be a very long spell on the sidelines, with I'm sure even longer mental scars.
  7. Saw this on instagram too. Going off the instagram comments, the views amongst many Rovers fans does not mirror the general consensus on this forum. Either were all miserable old sods or a large proportion of fans don't pay that much attention to real life. Many of them think hes going to guarantee us regular goals..
  8. I wish Mowbray would piss off with the new players need to bide their time and get used to the way we play. What way is that....fucking shit? Hes used that excuse over and over to justify playing his dressing room favourites over better players.
  9. Massive clown. Has the man management skills of David Brent. On another note; I had a really vivid dream last night. We lost 8-2 against Preston following which Mowbray walked......maybe its a premonition?
  10. Ughh. When you look back there are some sickening comments made by Mowbray. Theres so much crap coming from him you forget the past howlers. This is as bad as anything would have said.
  11. The fans need to make it clear they've lost faith. Until theres largescale unrest from the crowd nothing will happen.
  12. I reckon he could have us bottom of the league and still not be under any risk of the sack. Who on the board is A. bothering watching the games to know and, B. willing to sack the bloke that recommended the club sign them. Keanesque scam
  13. Surprised they didn't give Gallagher the pen seeing he won it and is desperate for a goal. Brereton really is awful. Hooked on 50 mins of an FA cup third round game. He has zero potential. Come on Chapman. Make TM take notice!
  14. What does his pace look like? Still fast of have the hamstring issues taken a yard off?
  15. Some other interesting points I took from that.. First regarding Chapman: “I think initially it’s because of the numbers we’ve got but it’s an opportunity for him to try and do enough to make sure that as people come back he stays on the bench,” Mowbray told the Lancashire Telegraph. “It’s down to him really. I thought he did alright. We need end product from our wide players.” Great motivation, basically being told you will only ever make the bench. And the other wide players are creating loads of chances? Id be off if I was him. Obviously never going to get much game time while TM is here. Secondly regarding Rothwell, “I’ve been showing him an example of (Bryan) Mbeumo at Brentford, 10 goals and five assists. “Joe has no goals and no assists. Pretty damning and also true. Whilst he may excite at times, you cant argue Rothwell needs to do more .
  16. Due to a lack of input from the owners and a board that Mowbray pretty much appointed as mates...Mowbray isn't getting sacked whatever the results are. As you say the only way is when TM decides he cant be arsed. The lack of pressure from above is probably why hes looks under no rush to arrest bad form
  17. Has a history with the club and also would probably cost less if we can persuade Mowbray to go without a massive pay off
  18. Let's hope with all fingers crossed that isn't true. If so it shows how diabolical the summer transfer business was. To be fair every window since we bought Dack has been awful.
  19. Boro and stoke both picking up some form. Despite the good run earlier we could still be sucked back to an awkward fight at the bottom if we dont pick up points regularly. Good to see Champan working his way back into the frame.
  20. The fact shitty stoke have scored four at Huddersfield also shows how poor we are. Dont think many ever expected our unbeaten run to last. there weren't that many great performances in there. Major overhaul required to progress. Many many poor players mostly purchased by the current boss.
  21. The fundamental issue with our performances and therefore results is that many of our squad just isn't good including the manager. Apart from Dack, Tosin and sometimes Lenihan we are poor from back to front. Our league position is more of a surprise than expectation. Without steady improvement each transfer window well be miles off promotion for some time. Trouble is we have no cash according to Mowbray and the signings he does make are on average shit.
  22. Hoping Chapman gets a chunk of game time. Dacks injury could be a chance for him Davenport and Buckley to get some games. Mostly though I'm relieved to see Tosin back in for William's. EDIT: Get in!!
  23. Really poor game. Cant think of anyone who had a good game or many positives to take. Couple of the main issues I could see: 1. The distribution of Lenihan and William's was abysmal. William's was consistently shocking with the ball all game. It's as if hes blind in one eye and cant see the easy pass to the left back. Lenihan almost cost us the game two or three times passing it to their strikers. How long is Tosin out for? Desperate for another centre back. 2. Whilst we talk about the defence needs to be a priority some of our attackers are just plain not good enough and never will be. Armstrong was woeful. Rothwell excited but never seems to produce anything. Graham never had anyone near him. A fast tricky winger who stays wide and runs at teams would have been useful today (isn't there one of them in the reserves already??) 3. Shows how close the league is. Not much between Wigan and Swansea Us or Brentford from that...apart from about 10 points. Not a good result but could be worse. Nice to sit in a pretty full Jack Walker stand. losing Dack is the main downer. ps. The Wigan fans and team look a bunch of scummers. Feining to give the ball back only to try a through ball? and who cheers an injury like that?
