  1. Boro and stoke both picking up some form. Despite the good run earlier we could still be sucked back to an awkward fight at the bottom if we dont pick up points regularly. Good to see Champan working his way back into the frame.
  2. The fact shitty stoke have scored four at Huddersfield also shows how poor we are. Dont think many ever expected our unbeaten run to last. there weren't that many great performances in there. Major overhaul required to progress. Many many poor players mostly purchased by the current boss.
  3. The fundamental issue with our performances and therefore results is that many of our squad just isn't good including the manager. Apart from Dack, Tosin and sometimes Lenihan we are poor from back to front. Our league position is more of a surprise than expectation. Without steady improvement each transfer window well be miles off promotion for some time. Trouble is we have no cash according to Mowbray and the signings he does make are on average shit.
  4. Hoping Chapman gets a chunk of game time. Dacks injury could be a chance for him Davenport and Buckley to get some games. Mostly though I'm relieved to see Tosin back in for William's. EDIT: Get in!!
  5. Really poor game. Cant think of anyone who had a good game or many positives to take. Couple of the main issues I could see: 1. The distribution of Lenihan and William's was abysmal. William's was consistently shocking with the ball all game. It's as if hes blind in one eye and cant see the easy pass to the left back. Lenihan almost cost us the game two or three times passing it to their strikers. How long is Tosin out for? Desperate for another centre back. 2. Whilst we talk about the defence needs to be a priority some of our attackers are just plain not good enough and never will be. Armstrong was woeful. Rothwell excited but never seems to produce anything. Graham never had anyone near him. A fast tricky winger who stays wide and runs at teams would have been useful today (isn't there one of them in the reserves already??) 3. Shows how close the league is. Not much between Wigan and Swansea Us or Brentford from that...apart from about 10 points. Not a good result but could be worse. Nice to sit in a pretty full Jack Walker stand. losing Dack is the main downer. ps. The Wigan fans and team look a bunch of scummers. Feining to give the ball back only to try a through ball? and who cheers an injury like that?
  6. Just one goal would be a start....
  7. Keep the same formation and get at em. Don't think much needs to be said. I can see Rothwell being replaced for Downing on the wing and Bell keeping his place at LB. Other than that I think well see Evans, Dack, Graham, Armstrong back in. Nice problem for TM to have mind. A goal for Gallagher at the weekend would have really made it a tough choice. on the Wigan side is Mulgrew ineligible? Im assuming so.
  8. Amazing result. We would have all been well happy if you offered 4 points from Swans and Bristol away. 3rd in the form table. A good January and who knows. Credit to Lenihan this run started as soon as he came back from injury.
  9. Hold on for 45 mins and were 2 points off 3rd!!! Wouldn't have expected that two months ago! Goes to show things change very quickly in this league. A good January theres a chance of play offs here.
  10. on paper it's a shocker of a team...but watching us v Swansea they looked spent. Some needed a rest. Not sure who else we have in the squad. Chapman and Rankin costello but they played yesterday.
  11. Watching us V the Swans we looked very leggy, although so did Swansea. Think some of our squad may benefit from a rest. I have a bad feeling this will be a rest for the wrong players and we will see the likes of Bennett back in and Gallaher on the wing. Walton Nyambe Lenihan Tosin Downing Travis Holtby Armstrong Buckley Rothwell Gallagher
  12. just watched the last 20 mins. we look shit. Slow and leggy. Theres no one within 30 yards of gallagher
  13. Cant watch the game today but just reading the sky sports commentary it sounds like were being mullered
  14. just the start we needed against a team with fragile confidence! Keep at em rovers!
  15. Brereton in no way looks like a footballer. Tall, gangly and skinny without much pace. He looks more like someone who sits at a computer all day than an athlete. As others have said, will be interesting if TM sticks with the line up. Hoping Nyambe went off with fatigue other than anything more serious.
  16. Brereton is a Gangly thing..doesnt look at all like a footballer. Midfield (in Evan's to be fair) have worked hard all game.
  17. Dangerous free kick here...almost a pen.
  18. WTF are we doing swapping Raya for Walton. hes literally 2 or 3 times better as a GK. Them two saves from Armstrong... Weve missed three great chances this half. Very worried well be talking of missed chances at the end. No faith Walton will save anything on target.
  19. I think hes just so immobile it takes him ages just to stand up.
  20. what a chance for Dack!!! Had all the time in the world there! That save from Raya shows the difference to Walton. so much quicker and agile.
  21. Brentford hit the bar off a free kick. Walton no where near it. Behrama looks a decent player
  22. Benrahma (or however its spelt) seems their danger man. We do look nervous when its anywhere near out box.
  23. Why is the camera so crap on this red button. Commentator is talking about stuff which the camera doesnt even point at. Was an injury for a minute or so and the camera was just left facing Walton while the commentator talked about it. Weird
