  1. Have a wad of numbered tickets on the gate, hand cash over get ticket. Has seat number etc.. solves most problems. If its quiet people can move to sit where they want if not everyone sits where allocated. Mark season ticket seats as Reserved, as for the clubs PL or conference response thats just stupid... do they want fans or what? Biggest image problem at Rovers is the odd stand out on Telly evey week and how do we solve that? - Exactly, PR seems to be Rovers managements weak point (in my opinion). As for lost data, thats weak... and they know it. Why not have a Name and Address section on the back of the ticket and offer a £1 off next on gate purchase for completed tickets... after all if they are that concerned about it the data I'm sure they are willing to pay for it. Have Rovers agreed to trial/implement anything from from the attendance document?
  2. Proof. There are no excuses on the grounds of entertainment/form in my opinion. I like many last season no longer enjoyed the long drive to watch, well.... horrible, stagnant, negative, relegation football. But with Rovers picking up more points than Chelski, Man ure, and Liverppol and second only to Everton (by 1 point!) in 2006, its a great time to be a Rover's fan and all I can say to the stay away's is:- Your Missing Out Big Time!!!!
  3. Ok match is clearly on which rules out my earlier post so I'm going 1-0 to the Rovers - Reid late on. Will be a tough match.
  4. Prediction: Match postponed. Frozen pitch. Reason leaking pipe. Revenge. Replay: After playing 3 times in 6 days Steads "Sunderland is better than Blackburn" 0; The mighty unbreakable Rovers 9; Sweep stake on how many will we score past Brum: 8
  5. Yeah, lets all play in the championship we would do well there. Missing the point - an even and level playing field for all makes for interesting football unless you tackle that you just end up going round the same circle.
  6. so as to allow these top-level clubs the opportunity to effectively forward plan so that they can maximise their chances of a 'return on investment' - - Football was great when it was a sport! Fixing so the rich get richer pure and simple - lack of competetion will ultimatley destroy the game - without even a remote chance to win the league or a cup, really whats the point? To get into Europe? To do what compete in another competetion that can't be won? [if its not quite there now it soon will be] What is the point? As I have said the bubble has burst (or the boom is over) and unsurprisingly its clubs like Rovers that suffer. Can we survive a football recession?
  7. Great result. Bellamy is a class above. Gripes:- Terrible reffing lost it with the Savage incident and after that. Why has no-one from the club said sorry to all of us who missed the kick-off? Not the biggest issue in the world but these little blips all detract from the match day experience - like missing the KO for example. As for attacking the abroadie's - pointless. We will always have fans abroad.
  8. Dr. Jekyll Rovers today. The next level is consistancy - the players are good enough.
  9. Dave, for someone who feels this thread should be shut and is pointless you don’t half keep posting in it..... The thread will die a natural death very soon.... while its a hot topic leave it alone! Have your say and leave it at that stop dictating what the rest of us should and shouldn't post. Opps I’m in trouble now.... criticising a regular. Tut.Tut.
  10. Manc scum moaning...... how novel. Couldn't care less it was a cracking game everyone except the glazerites know it! Its not the same as the Chelsea game - they got a man sent off and we got a man stretchered off only in a Kingdom far far away can you convince people that we were the dirtier team.
  11. What a 24 hours! Well personally I'm disappointed its over for Souness he could have done some real damage up there! Still what goes around..... comes around...... we benefited enormously from his departure and although things went bad for him in the end here... lets not forget those days in Cardiff and at Deepdale.
  12. Refs writing books and cashing in - Winter certainly seeking the limelight now! I wonder how many more revalations these superstar refs will come out with once their "livlehood is no longer under threat" from the omnious influence of old trafford, Stamford Bridge or Highbury. PL Football become akin to organised crime, the mob influencing the law makers. Money = Power = Corruption. I'm just surprised it took this long.
  13. Agreed. Too late. A few selective temporary price cutting gestures doesn't fool anyone. The bubble has burst, thankfully it didn't pop its just slowly losing air!
  14. Interesting read. Finances look well under control, a lot of which could be attributted to the great work of Mark Hughes in the transfer market. Cold reality isn't welcome to the "head in the sand" rovers fan like me who wants us to blow a big wedge on top class front man, but I am confident under the management of Williams and Hughes that the club is probably better than most to survive should a crisis hit football (unlikley now due to savvy restructuring of TV deal with EU blessing). But as your earlier post shows - Hughes wants the club to use the increased borrowing capacity to 'have a go' - heart says yes, head says no. Hope Hughes doesn't get frustrated if the answer is no. Good Post.
  15. Colours may be different, location of sponsors logo and club badge may change. so basically it doesn't matter what you pick as there is enough freedom there to do what they want! I like the idea though, well done Rovers - lets see if the poll reflects the official result. I suspect it will.
  16. If he cant keep Bolton strikers out of the Bolton team then he has no place at Ewood. I'd rather have loan recalls, besides Jansen isnt better than Kuqi which says it all.
  17. Now me I think Souness turned Blackburn Rovers around and the League cup and the 6th place prem finish was great. Yep towards the end his lack of "man management" skills were costing us and to jump ship was not loyal. But loyality is for fans it doesn't exsist anywhere else in football. Newcastle are our rivals so long may the Souness era continue in my opinion cause quite clearly he is costing them dearly!!!! That said for those who still have a issues with souness try this to get your angst out:- www.punchaceleb.com/hit/souness Despite all the above I like many others will enjoy the day Souness fails - its just that he jumped before we got chance to push him - like the one that got away it will be closure!!!!
  18. Great result. Press conference at St James on Monday morning me guesses. Yes seemingly an injustice for Newc but them 3-0 at Ewood now that was an injustice! Gally recall on the cards, playing well for Stoke until today... Upto 8th shame Wigan won... figures Thompson would score. Come on you Blues.... Wednesday Night Booster!!!!!
  19. Worth a thought:- things to think about also:- Is Peter ready for week in week out PL football? Can the striker Pederson score enough to compensate for the goals we would lose from the midfield pederson (i.e. Dickov + Pederson) assuming Peter doesn't score as many as Pederson.
  20. A little disapointed with the result however having been fortunate to see the miss of the season from Bolton it could have been worse. However it should have been better..... Start of second half should have seen Tugay and Bellamy they were stretched and we didn't take advantage.
  21. Good piece of work - Will certainly stimulate the debate again and I look forward to hearing the feedback from the club.
  22. ROVERS 1-0 Late second half strike. Looks too easy on paper so bound to be a tough slog.
  23. Pie scam was cruel, if he agreed in print to provide free pies and then went back on it I will be speaking to my solicitor who is of course a Rovers fan but more importantly a pie guru. Apperantlley there was a tent with beer under the visitors stand (I did not see it) did anybody see it - does it exsist or was it shamefull bull from a wigan fan. Great result - 50 pound looks safe based on thier rapidly declining attendances - Wigan fans - nice people but crap football fans. Stewards particulary over the top yet again. Great goals, 2 x celebration straight in front of me so no doubt will make match of the day, shame im not gonna be in. Well done 5200 rovers fans, great craic in crap conditions
  24. Look at Arsenal's "celebration" cause Donny missed that penalty. Oh you must be so proud of yourselves Arsenal jumping for joy oh lets remember where..... Doncaster. Chelsea PL champs. Arsenal overjoyed and celebrating with a lap of honour after beating Doncaster - how the mighty have fallen!! Congratulations Rovers, well done Donny (bad luck), Destined that Rovers draw Arse - lets get some revenge for the galant fellow rovers.
