  1. Halifax and Chesterfield might be different for you but there was a time when we played them regularly.
  2. He should been seen as Brererton’s stand in my opinion. Playing him anywhere else than up the middle is pointless. Playing him on the wing is just another illustration of Mowbrays bizarre tactical innovations.
  3. If you think about it the team defending the throw in has a man over. If they mark up properly they should make it almost impossible for the team taking the throw to retain possession.
  4. If Preston can win there we can.
  5. Today’s goal reminded me of the one John Stead scored at Everton to ensure our Premier League survival. I think Andy Cole put the cross in.
  6. Will our usual 45 minute performance be enough to get a result ?
  7. I’m surprised by that. I’d have said they would have been roughly equal at the best. That was the season after the Wembley ticket debacle when lots of Rovers fans walked away from the club.
  8. I thought they came back later on. There was plenty of press speculation regarding West Brom at the time Dack got injured.
  9. It looks like Dack would have gone but for that bad injury against Wigan.
  10. I take it you mean Forest ?
  11. Nyambe is still making the same mistakes as he was when he first came into the team. Technically he’s no better. He’s still got no idea of how to cross a ball. Lenihan is still making the mistake of being drawn to the ball too easily, how long as he been in the first team ?
  12. That doesn’t say much about the standard of coaching at the club does it ? All skills that can be worked on.
  13. Not when we’ve already got Ayala.
  14. I don’t think the ball is lumped in the air quite as much in Italy. Plus if the guy playing alongside him was a dominant header of the ball you could get away with a shorter player.
  15. It’s more about how high you can jump. Imagine Gallagher playing at centre half. He must be the tallest player in the team yet he probably can jump the least.
  16. It’s like some rugby league players. They look like monsters out on the pitch but it’s amazing how slight some of the are in a tracksuit when you’re stood next to them in the bar.
  17. I had it in my head it was a Saturday afternoon game ?
  18. Sounds like we endured a real siege in the second half.
  19. He could take Wharton’s place on the treatment table now the lad is fit again.
  20. That’s his main failing - he’s too easily drawn to the ball.
  21. The thing is, he was shit. He’s as good as admitted it himself.
