  1. Yeah me too, I'm backing India, how about you ?
  2. Funnily enough I thought the exact opposite.
  3. With a bit of luck we won't need 50 but we'll definitely need 6 more at least. two wins and a few draws are what could be required. We need to start getting shut downs out our end but Mowbray hasn't signed the players that can keep clean sheets. Most seasons there are teams that look dead and buried that escape and another team that appears to be comfortable but just collapse.
  4. So much for him being injured then. Who's next into the rubber dingy, Holtby, Ayala, Trybull ?
  5. The won't even know we are playing now the cricket is on again.
  6. I've said before it's like being in an airliner were the flight crew are locked in the cockpit and their oxygen system isn't working. Will the plane crash or will the flight crew wake up first. In the real life version the plane crashed, just saying.
  7. I have a pal who an Huddersfield fan. He's quite well connected and his view is that the Cowley's would cause trouble in an empty house. Make of that what you will. Maybe that's what we need ?
  8. 205 all out. I think we should give up playing Test Match cricket until we start producing Test Match cricketers. All we have now are " tip and run " players. No real openers, no gritty No3 batsmen, no quality spin bowlers. Just guys who can " hit out or get out ". This tour it's been " get out ".
  9. I think Wilder will stay at Sheffield. If they were going to sack him they'd have done it by now.
  10. We are the least well equipped side to enter a relegation battle. Everywhere you look at the club it's wrong. We need to become hard to score against yet Mowbray hasn't signed the players to do that. Two kids at centre half ! The man's an idiot.
  11. My thoughts exactly, he's tarred with the Mowbray brush now.
  12. It's a worrying time. From a current form point of view we must be bottom of the pile. Unless we can get our act together we're in real trouble. I can't escape the feeling that things have gone badly wrong behind the scenes. Why are we prepared to let Williams leave when we're really stuck for experienced centre halves ? Are the " injured " highly paid experienced players really badly injured ?
  13. It's not as bad as the sickness outbreak on this board. We're all sick !
  14. I think you're right. I said the other day he only stumbled across the Graham/Dack combination almost by accident.
  15. You can't knock anybody who's still a fan after the last ten years. The " fickle " ones have left years ago.
  16. He knew a replacement for Graham would be needed at least 12 months before he left. I would argue 18 months to be honest. By no stretch of the imagination could you say either of Brererton or Gallagher were capable of playing that role, not now, not ever.
  17. I think I am Stuart. We've had so many shit managers I get confused.
  18. Hard one to call Jim. There are days when I wish I'd never got interested in sport as a lad. My drinking chum is blissfully unaware of anything sporting at all.
  19. If we going to become hard to beat keeping the ball down the far end is the first requirement. Didn't Big Sam bring in Diouf to do that out wide ?
  20. Appointing Coyle was the tipping point for me also. Not because he was an ex Dingle, but because his subsequent career had been an un mitigated disaster. One failure after another. I walked away from a club I had supported since 1960. I didn't come on here, I didn't watch football on TV, I didn't read about us in the paper. I just looked at the scores at 4-55 on Saturday afternoons and that was it. It did wonders for my mental health, Rovers were seriously getting me down. I only came back when Lambert was appointed. I thought that was the only sensible thing they've ever done. Especially when you consider the backroom team he had. I know it didn't work out but you could see some logic in the appointment.
  21. He could always point out what was going wrong as well.
  22. Part of the problem is where we're playing Armstrong. He's not a " hold the ball "type of striker. We're crying out for somebody who can keep the ball down the other end.
  23. Yeah, getting rid of Mowbray and then finding out that either of Venus or Lowe are appointed as a caretaker manager would be a real nightmare.
