What's the weather like down in Watford ? It's still raining up here. -
Spinners winning the game in the first session of the game ! What sort of wicket is that for a 5 day test match ?

I just sent a text to my son reminding him that the game is on Sky Red Button. He replied - " I know - no excuse not to watch it now ". That's from somebody who bleeds blue and white. -
What station was that on ? I'd like to watch it.

I spotted him as a young player when he was starting out at Bradford. He played at Rochdale one night and you could see he was a cut above the usual huff and puff of Div 4 football. -

I thought that as well. Trying the new technique of flying towards the ball. Here's your choices - Bradshaw Heaton, Waddington, Fazackerly, Hutchins. Metcalfe, Martin, Parkes, Napier, Endean, Field. Sub - Not used. -

Are we talking JBL headphones here ? The best headphones I ever had were a pair of " Yamaha's " when they were into musical equipment. They should have been around £200 back in about 1985. Probably equivalent to about £800 now. " Boots " were selling HI-Fi at one time, and then suddenly decided to get out of it, so they sold everything half price. They were fantastic headphones. My ex-wife got them along with everything else, barring my clothes. She would have had them if they would have fitted her ! I'm pleased you appear to be happily married, divorce doesn't come cheap. -

Well we had Martin Britt, who had been a top prospect, who we'd signed the previous season but he came with a serious knee injury which finished his career before Xmas of that year. We signed Alan Gilliver, who came with a big reputation, but unbeknown to Rovers he had disc problems. To sign Gilliver we sold Byrom. Neither of Britt or Gilliver hit the heights, all the while Byrom was banging them in for Bolton. He was past his best when he came back to Rovers. -

I can't do links but if you look up " Mr Bus Driver " by Bruce Channel on youtube there's a video by MrShaggerDJ. The video has a cartoon image of couples doing " The Shag " towards the end of the video. It's out of my league dancing wise. -

Great should be a 10/10 performance. I remember Dougie getting a few in the papers back in the day when I was a paper boy. I was at the Spurs game and he was 10/10. He was equally good when we beat United 3-0 at Old Trafford the year before. Lars Bohinen in that 7-0 banging of Forest was in that bracket. -

He was a class act Jim, Bobby Moore rated him as one of the players who always gave him a hard time. He specialised in scoring hat tricks against West Ham. It was real mistake selling him to Bolton when we did. For modern fans reading this he was in the style of Matt Jansen. He was playing and scoring for Rovers in the old First Division when he was 17. -

You could play Douglas there and bring Bell in at left back. I wouldn't be averse to giving Pike a go if we didn't already have two teenagers at centre half. Travis has played there previously but he'd be missed in midfield. Any chance of any of our vast array of sick notes putting in an appearance ? -
Tony Mowbray Discussion

I know it won't come as a surprise to most on here but Mowbray's main failing is he doesn't know how to build a team. He just collects players. -

Yes, he's usually the last to turn on anybody. Ex players like that are normally pretty careful not to burn any bridges vis a vis future coaching jobs. -

I can't even see a result either unless we get a Watford sending off, we could just about get a draw then. -

Yes I usually leave it playing after the football. First record on last Saturday - " Stay In My Lonely Arms " by The Elgins. A classic B side. If you're a Soul fan the show is as good as it gets. To answer Den's question - I have it playing through a " REVO " internet radio. I've got 3 " REVO's " and I can recommend them. I occasionally play stuff through my old hi-fi set up - " Technics " amp, " Denon " tuner, " Sony " CD player, " Aiwa " tape deck, " Infinity " speakers, " Grado Labs " headphones. I still have loads of vinyl about the house but my " Dual " turntable had been in the loft for years. I remember going to a hi fi show in a big hotel in Manchester years ago. I was admiring the sound coming from some large speakers. The salesman removed the grills from the large speakers to reveal they were actually dummies and the real speakers inside were the size of a small shoe box ! Unfortunately they were out of my price range.
