I liked Chris Brunt a lot as a player but that was back in the day. We may as well have given Downing another year as sign Chris Brunt. I won't be losing sleep over that signing. Good player in his day but that was a year or two ago. He might fit their plans but we don't need him.

You and I both know that won't happen. The further down the food chain you fall the sooner the big clubs sign up your promising young players. Playing Holtby, Travis and Johnson in midfield means we've too many bodies playing too deep in central midfield. Possibly that's ok for away games like today but it won't do at Ewood against teams that park the bus. We could do with a mobile ball winner like Chowdrey to cover every blade of grass.
