  1. Sorry what? 🤣 He's managing a top 6 side in la liga? Maybe we should go for Iraola from Bournemouth as well.....
  2. That queue 😲 Hells bells never seen anything like it to meet a player in one of these events. How fantastic it is to see too 👍
  3. I've got no idea. My personal view is that Duff would be Waggotts choice, the other linked choices absolutely stink of being Rudy picks. We could see a bit of a power struggle and I get the impression Rudy has been getting his way on most things. Which when you factor in he's relatively new to this type of role, is a bit embarrassing for the old timers.
  4. Genuinely don't know where some of these names or links are coming from. Only concrete 1 I know of is Duff. The club are keeping their cards VERY close to their chest on the appointment, usual sources I know drawing blanks.....
  5. That's based purely on the Nixon story and a few Nickoteens placing a fiver on these names. I know I've banged on about this for years and a few people have obviously took notice now as they've mentioned it, a market as small as this is influenced by a few quid here and there. Nobody outside of rovers fans give a shite about our manager. My only surprise is Duff hasn't steamed in a bit on the odds.
  6. Where was it advertised? Only seen it mentioned on here. Probably worth scheduling it for later next time too, people are still making their way home from work etc at half 6.
  7. Quite ironically failure to win promotion led to his dismissal in Holland 😑
  8. Duff is one of them. I reckon Waggott would be the one pushing for Duff as well, he’d see it as a ‘get the fans onside’ appointment with the added hope of a little boost to crowds…. Rudy will have other ideas. Fuck knows what Suhail will think, cheapest possible option I imagine.
  9. Even in its current state, Ewood is probably in better nick than Goodison, its been falling to bits for years.
  10. 21's don't play till a week on Monday unfortunately. I think we'll benefit from a full week of training though, till we make the long trek south. All the teams round us seem to have got a result at Swansea, we really need to follow suit.
  11. Boateng’s only real link to the club is he’s worked here previously. No idea where Boa Morte has come from, presumably his agent? Both make zero sense unless they’re great mates with Rudy or something, which I also doubt. A couple with obvious rovers links then the rest just managers that have appeared in the betting for the last few vacancies at other teams. In short I wouldn’t read anything at all into these odds.
  12. On the flipside it shouldn't take playing against your old team to lift your performance. I'm very pleased he did and hopefully it will continue, but his contributions prior to yesterday have been poor.
  13. Heard the same, awful news ACD starting too, not sure why over AK47?
  14. Has the makings for a few goals today, let's hope Pape continues to play with his shooting boots on, I bet he was ready to go again the next day he will have been absolutely buzzing. In addition to that Ryan Hardie seems to be banging them in, albeit via the penalty spot for a fee of them. In fact they've had a penalty 3 games on the trot now. Could do with Batth playing, was there any news on him in the presser I missed it? Their tails will be up after a few good results and I bet players will be trying to book their place in the starting 11 for the City game too. Tough game but a 3-2 home win. Pape, Dolan and AK47 with the goals.
  15. After watching this and their last game, I'm not at all surprised. Both are significant upgrades on what they have currently, and I'm not a huge fan of either player!
  16. He probably will unless it’s a complete disaster. The larger crowds he’s on about also bring added pressure too, Ewoods a very forgiving place to be fair, I dare say sections of the Pride Park crowd won’t be if things don’t go to plan.
  17. It took Eustace 10 or 11 games to get his first win here, if he does the same at Derby they’re basically down. His problems there are very different to when he arrived here, they can’t score goals, they don’t actually concede TOO many. We were scoring goals thanks to Sammy mainly but shipping way too many goals against us too. He tightened things up but goals also become more scarce too. Derby have a bloody tough run coming up, their more favourable games coming towards the end of the season. I honestly think they’ll be a league 1 team next season.
  18. To be clear, not saying I want him at all, just that there’s a lot of noise about it on social media. That being said I also saw a post praising Waggott and Venky’s for so many good signings in the window…. My first choice remains Sam, have a feeling Carsley will definitely be high up the list given his track record with youth players and the fact we’re most likely going to be relying on ours more and more the next few seasons as it stands.
  19. Why? We can do all the legwork, interviews etc assuming they're doing them regardless. Wait till we've got our man and then click submit. Fuck Derby County, we owe them nothing and shouldn't bend over to accommodate them. Can't see Derby winning any of their next 5 aside from maybe Milwall at home, we'll have to see how we're shaping up by the time we play them I suppose too.
  20. Social media awash with fans saying Lowe should get the job till the end of the season.... Amazing what a win can do. I don't even think he'd want it anyway, seems like a quiet chap who likes to stay out of the limelight, he was constantly in discussion with the rest of the coaching staff last night, really was a collective effort and pleasing too see them all rallying round.
  21. When I saw the lineup I wasn't at all confident. Fair play I was wrong, although I do think Hedges was once again ineffective. Can't really fault anyone else although ACD really needs to man up. I get he's a young kid but he's dodging tackles like Tyler Morton used to in his time here. Gueye was brilliant both ends of the pitch but he needs to be careful trying to win fouls and influence refs at times, as well as his flailing arms. Everyone put a shift in and really proud of them all 💙🤍
  22. Travis probably respects Eustace more than most, he resurrected his Ewood career after his clear disagreements with JDT. People love to try and imply they're ITK at time like this though, weirdos.
  23. It is a bit weird they've not said who's taking charge tonight, pretty standard for clubs to say that, but then again - standard club we are not. Fuck emailing the club to ask then though 🤣 Last time under Johnno and Lowe against Stoke we actually played better than certainly the early days of Eustace' tenure, so you never know tonight. We either get a disorganised mess or a fuck off John we'll do this without you pal performance. AK47 is a must start, not sure Dennis will be able to start again though just yet. Looking forward to it, more from a curiosity perspective really. I reckon uncle Tony will be asked about the Eustace scenario and start gushing about how he's a great man post match 🤮
  24. There's nothing to suggest another manager couldn't have kept us up though, again I reiterate I don't want Eustace to go, but I don't think he has the god-like qualities some are making out. Sheffield Wednesday are almost a like for like comparison. They finished below us last season, they have probably invested a similar amount with Ugbo being their main signing of note. They sit 3 points behind us (for now).
  25. People are numb to any form of protest now, anything that happens will be a small number of people I'm afraid and fair play to them.
