  1. Bookies look at allsorts of factors, including our record recently at Swansea and will also factor in uncertainty over our starting 11. We were huge odds last weekend too for these reasons, we also haven't scored a goal in our last 2 away outings. They've probably also heard Mercerman is filling his boots πŸ™„
  2. Things you most definitely love to see...
  3. So back to back hattys for Vale now, surely jes knocking on the door of the first team bench at least?
  4. It's 'half term' round here that week too which I hadn't realised, should further boost the numbers πŸ‘
  5. Fully agree, Bournemouth have gone from an irrelevant team I couldn't give a shite about to me despising them in a few weeks!
  6. Comfortable 2-0 win for me this. I think there'll be a little buzz about the squad just due to a few little things. Diaz being back most of all, Khadra and Joe hopefully returning to the team and despite a few sulking about it on here some new faces in the squad wanting to make a good first impression. Diaz and Rothwell the scorers. I can see Rothwell putting in a MOTM performance.
  7. Had Hedges been played more as a striker at all previously do we know? Going off his build alone he doesn't look like typical winger does he? He's a big lad (Tony's favourite) and looks to have a shot on him too, I'm only going off short clips though so could be way off the mark.
  8. If we're looking at the window as a whole I'd say it's been very good. Deadline day was the usual damp squib we should know to expect now though. I'm including Markanday in my very good assessment though and he's obviously crocked now. With Butterworth going I'd say we're walking a pretty thin tightrope and will now wince every time BBD goes down under a heavy challenge. Can only assume we're also gambling a bit on Dack coming back into the 1st team relatively soon.... You have to remember the current squad got us to 2nd, with the additions its capable of keeping us there, but only if we have an easy ride with injuries. A worry I'd rather be without but it is what it is now!
  9. Posh chairman confirms we had a bid accepted for Dembele but he opted for Bournemouth, they're really starting to get on my tits
  10. Bound to be loans only now at this stage (if anything)
  11. Is Giles over the line yet or are Bournemouth gonna be nobs and try and sign him too? Unfortunately this signing isn't getting the excitement it deserves if it gets done as its getting lost amongst the Rothwell drama! We've not been as good since Pickering got crocked, Giles can remedy this and possibly more.
  12. Gibbs-White is injured and on loan at Sheffield United?
  13. Biggest deadline day in many years I reckon, buckle up folks. Much more at stake for this one than previously...
  14. Edun will be out for a while by the sounds of it, Pickering seems way off a return still so we've actually got no left backs as it stands. Giles would be a welcome addition
  15. I'd welcome him with open arms, not sure he's gonna play the Rothwell role though. I did notice watching their game yesterday he was out with a 'back injury' much like Mr Rothwell πŸ€₯
  16. Dack even when fit is nothing like Rothwell in his style of play, I know he's been out for a while but still 🀣
  17. I know that πŸ™„ they're unlikely to be available to talk to give their seal of approval on a deal at 4 in the morning their time is my point.
  18. Surely the owners have to rubber stamp any deals though? They're like 5 hours in front so perhaps we've got a little less time to get sorted. Hopefully we're very active tomorrow...
  19. You've got to be happy with that result in the circumstances, christ it wouldn't even have been a complete disaster with a fully fit team! They beat Bournemouth there the other week and drew with Fulham not long before. Having Diaz back will obviously add a dimension and he's no doubt got a spring in his step after getting back on the scoresheet. Hopefully the injuries aren't too bad, what actually happened to Gally as I'd nipped in the kitchen and missed it? Believe he was coughing up blood? Have I made it up or has that happened with him previously πŸ€” Thank christ we've no game midweek though, we need a few extra days to get a few players back fit and of course hopefully bed a couple of new signings in. Monday is huge, please don't screw this up......
  20. Fuck him, he's not irreplaceable
  21. Aye true and if people want to lap it up so be it. No need to really try and slag Sharpe off though, he posts accurate information in his articles/tweets etc though. Of course he knows more than he let's on but he has a relationship with the club to maintain.
  22. What should he do then? Start posting bollocks on here like the rest who have no idea but claim to have all these sources?
  23. So it's gone from JRC chat, to Rothwell meltdowns, to dick measuring from people claiming to have sources 🀣 Reel it in ffs there's 1, maybe 2 on here who EVER come up trumps.
  24. 1 nil win for me. Luton have conceded at least one goal in their last 6 at home. 3 of our last 4 away we've managed a clean sheet. Unfortunately that bloody Hull game isn't forgotten about just yet and we know we've always got one of them performances in us (like most clubs around us too). Zeefuik to smash one in the top corner after a mazy run following his introduction in the 65th minute πŸ’™πŸ€
