  1. Would rename any new Riverside stand in his honour. Have stated for many years our history is not celebrated enough.
  2. Good to hear the question of a Rovers Museum being raised...hope it comes to fruition. A worthy venture for a Club of our History and standing.
  3. This should be all too easy and common sense tomphil but somewhere down in the corridors of Ewood the thought process is not working.
  4. How about a Tudor Rose where that dark blue spot is in the middle of the blue and White box. https://www.shutterstock.com/search/tudor+rose
  5. Your spot on Pedro. When you look back at the last quarter of a century the calibre of player who has worn the old Blue n White is outstanding.
  6. The Souness years......you don't know what you had until it's gone. The man would be given a hero's welcome by the vast majority of Rovers fans if he visited Ewood again in any capacity.
  7. Tom Finney nearly joined Rovers according to his biography...what a side that would have been with Douglas and Clayton! Was present at Deepdale when they officially opened 'The Splash' Statue prior to a pre Season friendly...I think it's one of the best ever made tbh.
  8. Still see 'Rambo' walking his dogs down Witton Park and doing some training. He did indeed by mistake stop the ball dead for Strachan to chip Gennoe from about 15 yards...the ball seemed to move in slow motion from the BBE.I'm sure Whittle blue posted a link to the game on YouTube....Ewood didn't look as full as I remember on the night! Souness .....Tugay,Friedel,Hughes,Cole.The young Ewood trinity of Duff,Jansen and Dunn. Good memories.
  9. Noel.... 'he is the King of Ewood park'! Taken far too young.
  10. Sold out already...there'll be much cussing and hissing down Blackpool Rd way!
  11. Would love to live the Souness years again....far more good than bad. Putting the Media darlings Spurs in their place at the Millennium Stadium will live in my memory forever.
  12. Absolutely Den.....the manner in which this Club fell from grace still cuts deep with many. Looking like a sell out for Dumpdale..good to see.
  13. The decision to close the DE to home fans has clearly been a balls up,a pointless exercise.Leeds will be the only club to come near filling that stand. Just a huge bank of empty seating for the TV Camera's to poke fun at.
