  1. Absolutely disgusting dive for Brentford for their penalty. One of the most unjust decisions I have seen in my life. I really, really, really don't give a shit about how this is "just part of football." I really don't. Either we have a sport, a league that punishes clear cheaters, or it's just whatever goes. 0 point, absolutely 0 point to follow a sport that wouldn't punish a disgusting diving team like Brentford.
  2. Great, great goal by Ama that was. He made it look easy, but that required top class composure and judgment. Could not have finished it any better, left Raya for dead. Our defense has been tested heavily and so far doing the job. But we are being entirely overrun in midfield, it's almost as if we have no midfielders today. They really need to step up big time in the second half because Brentford look very dangerous and will punish us.
  3. Just warming up for if/when Tony starts Gallagher instead of Samuel.
  4. Looked solid for this win, this was what an improved and healthy defense does. Walton a couple of truly great saves, we need to keep him, he is getting better. And lets face it - we are a better attacking team without Gallagher in the side. Some things are a blessing in disguise. Whenever he gets fit again, he should not be starting, at least not for the rest of the season.
  5. I kind of like this starting line up, I can see some pace in there. But we might still need Graham to come on later on to win it.
  6. He has made a few mistakes, but is miles better than Raya in the air. Way more stable, and unlike Raya has shown the potential to improve. How much faith do people have that Tony would be able to find someone better?
  7. And out of nowhere AMA smashes in the goal of the season. Such a beautiful, beautiful goal. 3-0 is an amazing score with half our first team out - but how bad are Hull exactly? Well taken goal by Samuel too, he gets some flack but at the end you need a striker who can find the back of the net. This is a night to savour.
  8. We have totally dominated but it is hard for me to understand how professional footballers can miss so many clear cut chances in one half. I thought the problem according to Mowbray was that we train too hard?
  9. What people are failing to understand is that promotion is not just something "nice to aim for" but a life or death situation for the club. What happened to Bolton is nailed on to happen to us, whether in a season or two or the not so distant future. Either we fight and put pressure on the club to improve, or we watch it die. This season the chance is gone, and will be lucky to get another proper chance.
  10. Our next match with any meaning to it is in August. Sad times.
  11. Please tell me this doesnt mean that Gallagher is again on the wing and not in a 4 4 2 ?
  12. That is absolutely incredible that we have 4 starting line up midfielders out injured, including easily our top 3 most creative players, most of them for the rest of the season. It really feels like the world is against us at this point. It kills me to admit defeat, but it does look like any points we pick up until the rest of the season, starting tomorrow, can only be a bonus.
  13. 6 points off the playoffs, no signings, entire midfield injured. That's that then.
  14. We have 4 starting line up midfielders out injured now. This is just impossible.
  15. Congrats to Tony he has made the correct change. Though says something we were so worried he would play Bennett again.
  16. Which makes the utter failure of the transfer window, literally a 0/10, so much more frustrating. Even with all our injuries we could have had a chance if we had a manager capable of attracting anyone.
  17. Three cheers to all the happy clappers who do not see this failure as serious and still want to back TM. When you back mediocrity you recieve stagnation and relegation sooner rather than later. This is proven. A very sad day for this club, not just for the transfer window failure, but the refusal to hold our manager to a higher standard.
  18. The reason why Tony Mowbray cannot sing anyone is because he doesn't believe in this club. He is a journyman manager with no connection or interest in our history, and is here to collect his paycheck and tick some paper boxes if he can. Anyone who has ever succeesed at Rovers has been willing to go beyond what is required and push us above what others would believe are our limits. Even if tactically he is not as inept as a few previous Venkys men, neither he nor Venkys will ever give a shit about our club. But our collective failure is in how much we tolerate this. Cheers Tony.
  19. With Rothell out it is up to Costello to save our season, ready or not the call has come and he must step up and make a footballer of himself. But if TM plays Bennett or Brereton instead then all hope is lost burried and dead. I am so angry and so sick of every timr we get some momentum and an important player gets injured.
  20. Whoever found Holtby - promote them and have them search for more players like that across Europe. Cannot be impossible. If TM has given up on signing anyone local then take a risk and go abroad.
  21. LMAO football nutter sport. Well, we all know the winning magical formula then. Play like shit for 6 games, have everyone write us off as utterly hopeless and useless - and voila, 5-0 win with free flowing enjoyable football. That's sorted then.
  22. If Gallagher is really actually on the wing again the rest of the team might as well walk off the field.
  23. Is there any position we can play him other than anywhere in defense? Brilliant at set pieces and we are desperately missing a specialist in that area, but he simply cannot play in the back anymore, no way. But I'm not sure where he can play with his lack of space. CM somewhere? Eh this is a hard one. Football Manager team would be (not a serious suggestion): Travis - Mulgrew - Evans/Johnson Gallagher - Graham - Armstrong So a 4-3-3 and abandon wing play basically, go through the middle.
  24. The way TM describes the transfer situation difficulties is reasonable and understandable - if he were nothing but a fan with no skill and experience suddenly dragged out of the streets and asked to deal with the transfer market. But he is not. He is paid to find solutions and operate in a more wise and knowledgable way than the average supporter. I must again ask what in the hell is his job, what is he getting paid for otherwise. To provide commentary regarding how skint we are and how hopeless we are without Dack? Good to know, Tony, now here's your paycheck? For the life of me I cannot understand how anyone is left supporting him.
  25. If I shared my views on UEFA and fair play rules I would be arrested and imprisoned. The nice way to say it is that it is pretty much a scheme for rich and "big" clubs to stay at the top forever and never be challenged by anyone, bar miracles.
