  1. If we had played with the formation that was being spread around when the team was announced we would have lost. This just shows that we have a good squad but we must, we must stick to the 4-2-3-1 formation this season.
  2. Thank God that despite the 6 changes we kept to the same formation, that was the key. 2nd half was very little football. We were very disciplined and Travis and Johnson were terrific in the center. Bristol had one big chance but other than that completely did not turn up for the second half, they didn't even seem to try. Very strange. Has Bell done enough to be recalled? One of his best games today, but again, hard to judge as Bristol really did not pressure him much, especially in the second half.
  3. Fiery game so far. Both teams could have had a couple of goals. Cracking goal by Johnson, more players need to have the confidence to smash it in. But Brereton is the worst footballer on the pitch. It is sad to say so but he looks utterly devoid of skill. Was in several very good positions and has 0 control of the ball. Needs to be replaced immediately. Bell however has had one of his better games so far. Nyambe too. Holtby has shown class. Gallagher frustrating, had one very good effort, but was cold for most of the half. The sooner Graham comes on the better.
  4. This is sensational. Is TM incapable of intelligent thought? The moment the fans stop screaming the right formation and the right players at him, he goes back to football manager fantasy bingo. They will crush us.
  5. Dack is only out for one game I hope? But yeah any points off at Bristol will be a miracle without him.
  6. Reality check coming indeed but still, 4-2-3-1 has been by far our best formation, along with not starting or at least not playing Bennett in defence. If Graham has the stamina, keep the same team, and either way the result will be tight.
  7. You wouldn't believe it....when Stoke scored you would bet your house and your dog that we are losing this. Smash and grab this.
  8. Just seen Barnsley's second goal. That has to be the most shambolic excuse of defending you can possibly see. You cannot even imagine we practice defending in training.
  9. His explanation on Bennett is absolutely incredible. If he had prefaced that by stating that he has great footballing qualities (which he doesn't in any case) but also happens to be a good talker and the life of the dressing room I'd understand.....but he just mentioned the latter. Bennett is only being picked because he is a good talker. Does Mowbray know this isn't professional wrestling?
  10. But also Leeds' penalty - how many of these non-penalties are we going to get punished with before it stops being a 'coincidence' and 'bad luck?' They seem every game now.
  11. While I'm very happy for the fans at the stadium today, the result today is disastrous for our long-term ambitions.
  12. We've entered the most dreadful situation where you want us to score goals, but every point we earn takes us further away from making a crucial manager change. Lose-lose situation.
  13. I would rather roll the dice and try again even with Venkys record. If the alternative is lingering in lower table mediocrity at the very best - or fighting against relegation as this season is shaping out, there just isn't that much to lose.
  14. If we actually get rid of him then this will be our best result of the season.Next to 0 chance of that happening I think though Venkys don't care.
  15. Even if for absolutely nothing else, TM's fascination with Bennett is enough for the sack. One of the most error-prone outfield players I have ever seen at the club - and not only does he start every match, he is actually our captain. It is beyond incredible. I don't care what people think of this opinion, but TM has reached Steve Kean level of utter uselessness. Clueless, stubborn stupidity that costs us match after match.
  16. Walton has to go. That has to be one of the most abysmal things I have seen a goalkeeper do, worse than Raya's mistakes. Raya at least had top class reflexes. At least we haven't spent money on Walton yet. He has quality sometimes but there is no defending or redeeming that, it is absolutely criminal.
  17. Add a time machine option so that he can go before October. So that whoever takes over has a decent shot of doing something with this season. Now it is too late and either way we are screwed.
  18. The referee beheaded us. Season is over anyway. There is absolutely nothing left to lose - we need to tell the FA to fuck themselves and refuse to play more games unless they allow this one to be replayed. They can throw us out to non-league if they want, doesn't matter, at least maybe we'll get rid off Venkys in this way. What is the alternative? Continue treading in this absolute refereeing shit forever?
  19. That is easily the most ridiculous penalty I've seen in my life. If I was TM I would lead the team out. This is not football. The FA can go fuck themselves, do whatever they want. This is not football. Fuck off.
  20. Mowbray staying on means this season is over. Mid table at the very best. And if things go really south and replace him even as early as the winter - any new manager will need next season to really start bringing in change. So either way this season is hopeless because of this decision to stick with Mowbray despite him showing not the slightest clue he knows how to structure his team. Depressing.
  21. That's all she wrote for this season then, these are the two players you needed to play every game. Only hope is the attack gets sorted and we compensate by scoring loads of goals, but thats pie in the sky with TM.
  22. Why did TM decide to buy Gallagher and Armstrong when he keeps playing them in roles (AM or out wide) that are not their natural positions? And before them Brereton? This has more or less been our downfall this season, because TM bought and paid handsomely for players that do not fit the system he has us hammered down playing.
  23. I completely support giving Johnson a chance. Nothing to lose at all at this point. If there is any shred of sense left at the top of the club they must make that switch now.
