  1. Not sure why the Canadian starts at goal. It has been firmly established that he is and will forever be a reserve. Is Walton tired?
  2. Is there no directive in place prohibiting owners like Venkys from just pulling the plug? Are they not obliged to find a financially suitable buyer, even if at least on paper? If not then that is absolutely scandalous.
  3. Yep and he has made it clear he will not change this philosophy no matter what. He is too stubborn and it is costing us points.
  4. We have great attacking power but TM cannot get anything out of our strikers. He is clueless and helpless. We need someone with better stategy. We need to change managers before it's too late.
  5. Very good win. Big battle this match. To be fair it was so open the result could have been anything. Walton - I am very impressed. Great penalty save obviously, but he seems great in the air, very commanding. I hope we can keep him. The back four - well you can see that with the 3 Irishmen we are much better at the back than last season, no doubt about that. Having said that, there were still some huge gaps in defense throughout the match, and my word we made a meal of the final 5 minutes yet again. This needs to be worked on. But yes no doubt Williams and Cunningham are big improvements. Johnson fought very hard, he got stuck in - but also gave away the penalty and missed a header on open goal. Mixed night. Downing did good, solid and reliable. Armstrong was missing and was poor for most of the match but to be fair had some good runs towards the end. Dack as usual our most creative player. So good win, 3 on the bounce now, but big improvements needed.
  6. Walton great penalty saves, otherwise both teams missed big chances. Same problem as game vs Charlton though - TM wants new football without Graham, but then why are we lumping it forward all the time seeking for a big tall center forward? Why are we playing as if Graham is supposed to be in the team? Cmon
  7. Get Armstrong off if he can't finish that there is absolutely no point in him being on the field.
  8. Every time DG goes off only one thing happens.
  9. Oldham pulled off a Rovers in the last 6 minutes I suppose.
  10. In interviews though Mowbray sounds like he doesn't have a care in the world, no fear for his position. Probably nothing this season, no matter how humiliating it gets, will change that. That's the sickening part of it all.
  11. He has to go. He completely failed over the summer and we are bearing the fruits of that failure with these defeats. Get someone new in and give them time to adjust before the winter and window.
  12. Ways must be found (easier said than done) of selling the message - the truth - that football is about much more than winning trophies or being at the top, and that there is great value and reward in supporting your local club through thick and thin. It is a mentality that needs to be re-enforced in society however, a flyer won't do it on its own.
  13. Walton Nyambe Tosin Lenihan Cunningham Johnson Travis Downing Dack Rothwell Graham
  14. It feels a very good signing...but it's worrisome that it is only a loan.
  15. I'm afraid the only place we'll be signing defenders this year...
  16. Exactly. He had the entire summer to do one main thing - to fix the defence, to get new new defenders, to try anything to improve it - instead he buys God know how many midfielders and starts us the exact same back 4. No one can possibly, possibly hold out hope for Mowbray following such ineptitude/failure. The ship has sailed, he must go now.
  17. We did seem to be trying to pass it around a bit more often, but with no real efficiency or purpose. And when the players realized they needed to finally create something - yep they hoofed it in the box for our big target man, who guess what - was sitting on the bench until the 66th minute. So for most of the game we pretty much willfully played with one hand tied back. TM is a clown, and you have to be laughing if it wasn't so frustrating.
  18. It was a decent turnout there was a good atmosphere at times. But yes, if you want to be hitting something near the 20ks again you need to get the Asian community hooked, at least a portion of them. That's up to the marketing/community team to figure out but clearly they can be doing a better job.
  19. Is Tony Mowbray an absolute and complete utter clown or what. The SAME defenders he starts after all this. The same defence and on top of it Charlie Mulgrew who cannot possibly cut at it this level and was a massive liability all last season - he starts him and drops Danny Graham. He drops our sharpest attacking strategy yet continues despite all logic and reason to start someone who the pigeons know is past it. Mowbray is the only person in the world who can't see it yet we all have to suffer because he refuses and refuses to drop this man. I don't care how many midfielders he's signed. I don't care if he bloody signed Ronaldo and Messi along with them. He had one fucking job all summer - to improve our defence, or for God's sake at the very least not start with Mulgrew. One fucking job and he **** all over it. Lennihan was screaming at him our supposed captain to get his act together. And rightfully so though he should have been screaming at the clueless manager. Embarrassing shambles. He has no clue what he is doing. New manager needed tomorrow. Anyone with a drop of common sense. This is not loyalty to his players that Mowbray is demonstrating. It is dim witter stubborn insanity. I want this man gone from this club immediately and that's that. Nothing can help him.
  20. Mowbray and his transfer policies are definitely not helping, to say the very least. A lot of expectations were had this summer, next to none fulfilled. Hopefully it doesn't put off too many...
  21. There are reasons to be positive and look forward to this, but I'm sorry but if Mulgrew starts at CB or starts at all really it is an absolute pi$$take.
  22. So without a defence we're just ready for teams to run over us? Is that the design inspiration?
  23. While I appreciate the recruitment in the other areas... We ended the season with an absolute desperate need for a brand new defence. Now, 2 weeks before match day...we have recruited absolutely no one in defence; we have actually lost defenders;.....and we have lost our main goalkeeper, with no replacement yet. What in the hell is the plan.
