  1. There is 0 reason not to play the youngsters for the rest of the season. Nothing can possibly get more embarassing than this. At least try to find a hidden gem to elevate us next season. Its clear we do not have the means for the clearout that we need.
  2. We'll be giving Joe Hart a look, right? Remember how Friedel was discarded by Liverpool before we took him. If there was quality once, and motivation, it can be reignited.
  3. Good question. How much is an attacking midfielder with 0 assists and 0 goals worth.
  4. My favourite thing was actually that we brought on 2 strikers immediately after we went up 2-1. Not sure if that was planned or not, but that gave us extra momentum and 100% carried us to victory. There is so much fear from managers to do that, yet more often than not it brings results.
  5. Like why does Mowbray have to make such comments? Is he afraid for his job and is desperately trying to spin things for Venkys? I doubt it. Or is a 6-0 tonking really "just what he wanted" ?
  6. I mean, he 'underachieved' for various reasons mentioned in terms of international career, but for us he achieved a great deal - promotion to the Premiership, a cup, Europe...not many have that on their Rovers resume.
  7. Yep. He was on his way toward becoming a Rovers and England legend, I genuinely thought that highly of him in that season he was carrying us on his back. Then he went for money and threw it all away.
  8. Does buying merchandise from the club store online actually directly help the players and staff at this time, or does it just profit Venkys? Looking at the 94/95 shirt...
  9. Taking players on loan with no option to buy is pure laziness and refusal to properly scout potential foreign talent. No matter how well a player does here for a handful of months, once he goes we are back to square one - where's the benefit in that? If domestic options are limited, 100% there is talent out there in other leagues but we need to invest time and resources to find such players. Aka the job of a football manager to delegate, aka a job Tony Mowbray has completely failed at.
  10. Incredible times. At one point top earners will have to take massive pay cuts, and even players on smaller salaries have to take cuts, in order to keep clubs afloat. The alternative is to allow clubs to go under and everyone loses their job. Edit: It's actually started: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51980881
  11. So....the only issue with Brereton, according to Mowbray, is that the others above him in the pecking order are so brilliant that his amazing footballing talents havent been allowed to shine yet. Ok. Please bring back Steve Kean.
  12. The club is a complete pathetic joke for backing this manager. Even with our injuries, TM single-handedly cost us everything with the absolute worst possible team selection anyone can come up with. Like I don't understand how this is not straight-out sabotage.
  13. Does Tony Mowbray actually watch our games or know anything about our players? I genuinely want to know. I cannot in a million and one years begin to imagine what he is thinking if yes.
  14. Tosin is growing dramatically above Championship level, he will not be playing at this level next season, that's one thing that's pretty guaranteed.
  15. Williams at least has to be back for the next game, we desperately need him at CB.
  16. 3 points off at the moment, which is not the end of the world in this crazy league, but we need to figure out our best system and start picking up some more points now. We are not winning our home games, but absolutely nothing stopping us from getting points away. The whole "win your home games and be happy with a draw away" philosophy just doesn't apply to this league, not in this season anyway.
  17. I will say this - doesn't matter how many penalties or goals or whatever there are after the fact, Swansea 100% should have been down to 10 men after the 9th minute for that kick on Walton. No two ways about that, and that would have changed the game dramatically. Once again robbed and left for the dead by the referee. I don't care if it's useless or not, we need to be writing to the FA, going to the fullest extent of the law to stand up for ourselves because we have been robbed blind over and over again. This is criminal.
  18. Special mention also to the referee for saving Swansea from a clear red card and then not giving us a clear penalty for a foul on Gallagher. Happening so often this season it's barely even noticed anymore. When the club doesn't protest and stand up for itself, refs will continue doing this.
  19. Unfortunately exactly as I feared. We dominated and should be in front, but Rothwell has cost us with some shockingly bad finishing on a couple of occasions. Take him off for Buckley at half time if we are to win this game. Also Brewster is a fantastic striker, one of the best in the country. How he has ended up on loan in the Championship is beyond me. Swansea have pulled off one of the best loan moves of all time in my opinion.
  20. What has Rothwell done to deserve to be starting instead of Buckley? I truly don't get it. Also Bennett at RB essentially means we are playing with 10 men. Swansea will have to fail spectacularly not to take this game.
  21. Has Tony got it out of his system by now? Starting Rothwell and playing Gallagher on the wing? Has he seen enough failure with those choices yet to realize, and be the last person on earth to do so, that Rothwell does not do well when he is starting, and Gallagher can do next to nothing on the wing? If he has not, then this game is gone as well. As for the back - Nyambe is too valuable to move him out of RB. I'd rather risk it with Mulgrew again at CB than lose Nyambe as RB.
  22. It seems its only for players, not managers. My bet on the two first picks would be Shearer and Giggs.
  23. If anyone thinks there is anyone to blame for this match but Tony they are off their fucking head.
  24. I mean its an absolute fucking disgrace from Mowbray. An absolute fucking disgrace. What else is to be said. He wrecks the team that was doing well in order to once again, for no reasonable logic whatsoever, 0 reason, shoehorn Gallagher onto that right flank, and there you go, all sharpness and urgency goes out of the team. Same for Buckley being dropped. Just everything that was working in previous games he single-handedly wrecks.
  25. Really don't think I hate a team in the Championship more than Brentford. Cheating divers.
