  1. Frustrating half. As others have said, Buckley showing class, but quality missing up front big time. Gally is huffing and puffing, I respect that, but just isn't providing much quality at all. We are solid at the back, except for Edun who seems really out of place. We are stretched thin so not many options on the bench...a bit worrying.
  2. Insane how we survived this. Cardiff squeezed the life out of us. Raining sweat here.
  3. We were nailed on to lose a game like this every season in recent times...is this the biggest sign yet we are onto something special?
  4. What's infuriating is that there is carte blanche for the EFL, you ask for any responsibility and accountability and all you'd get is "covid, end of story."
  5. Just want to compliment Pears also on some great saves, he seems to have improved loads this season, even from the little we have seen. Of course he is very young, 23, so will only be getting better hopefully.
  6. We don't need new signings this January, but we need to be searching for hidden South American grandparents for the rest of the squad.
  7. Just read these two articles : https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19724340.blackburn-rovers-ittle-winner-colin-hendry-signs-dementia-study/ https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9109007/Tony-Parkes-daughter-wants-change-football-Dads-struggles-dementia.html It's devastating and profoundly sad. Sadly, with family, I know first hand what dealing with such diseases is like. You think there has to be a link with heading the ball, given how many stories in football you read. Yet with the case I am familiar with, as with others, it can also happen to people who have never had any kind of head-related stress. We have to value every day that we have.
  8. How bad are the teams in this league it's hard to comprehend really. Could have been more today. Thank God we had what it takes to bounce back. I hope it doesn't ease pressure off Mowbray.
  9. My hope would be that these footballers get a dumping of posts on their feeds and they just like everything and anything involving a team mate or former team mate without thinking much. Still dumb. But the alternative, that they willfully realize they are pissing off the supporters and/or just don't care....I don't know what I could say to that.
  10. What a nasty, nasty, nasty individual. Our only hope is that he leaves end of the season. Unless Venkys offer him a new contract, which will be probably be the final nail in the coffin for the club.
  11. Yep, and it has been a complete mess long before this result - but it sums it up that the heaviest home defeat is barely met with a shrug of the shoulders by those that run the club. Nonchalant as you'd like. The supporters, the club and it's history are complete and total non-entities for TM and Venkys. I just don't know when this misery will end.
  12. People sounding hopeful here but I don't see a hope in hell. If Venkys were capable of experiencing shame Mowbray would have gone a long time ago. To them it's just a score, a statistic they'll read about in the morning, and won't make the slightest ripple in their day.
  13. Bigger chance they'll find little green men on the moon tomorrow. "Plenty of positives, their second should have been offside, individual mistakes, we'll take it on the chin" etc etc everyone knows the usual garbage train. Mowbray and Venkys have absolutely not the slightest notions that the club and the supporters are worth something.
  14. Liverpool are allowed games like this because they then go on to pummel most other teams. Completely ridiculous comparison. Mowbray can't even hold a 2-0 lead.
  15. Would gladly be in the Conference if it meant getting free of Mowbray and Venkys. They have turned the club into everything it should never be. Complete and total disgrace.
  16. At this point I am more confident in us when we are 3-0 down than 2-0 up.
  17. I know our owners aren't rosy either but how low can you possibly go with Saudi Arabia taking you over...they wouldn't say no to Kim Jong if he had any real money.
  18. What a very talented young bunch of lads we have - has never really been a question, but game after game they are showing why our academy is still the envy of many. If we only had to focus on the football (and not worry about contracts) you'd feel we can achieve anything this season. But days like today you can't help but dream...
  19. I don't think we will replacing them at all. We will simply have to do with academy players or anyone we can get on a free and for low wages. Fun times ahead.
  20. The question is are Venky's being tight, or are the idiotic FFP rules the reason we can't offer contracts to keep our players. The FA and FFP will be more than happy if we are "in our place" in League 1, they don't care.
  21. If the details he discloses are true then we sound absolutely doomed.
  22. It is disgraceful what has been allowed to happen to Derby. A lot of disgraceful things have been happening to football lately, and unfortunately fan memories are short lived. We - the wider football community - were close, or at least it felt like we were close to massive change over the Super League, but that fell apart and we went back to the status quo. Dark times.
  23. This has to be some of the most twisted shitfuckery I have come across in a long time. So the international window comes and clubs have to pick whether to lose players for 3, or for 2 games through absolutely no fault of their own? Why the hell do FIFA allow this rule during a pandemic, and what do South American FAs have to gain by punishing players and clubs like this? Teach us a lesson for following the government's pandemic rules? Ok? Joke.
  24. Sell my left nut if Tony's excuse is not "well, it's difficult to sign players, other clubs make it hard." As if window after window he is shocked to learn this is a competition. It's a complete joke, has been for a long time under him.
