  1. Came on to give the players a right good bollocking and we score on the mark. You can thank me.
  2. People may not like to hear this, but re-watching the goal our two supposed best defenders were at fault - simple run down the flank that just blew past Brittain with ease, and then Ayala lost his man and fell flat on his face. There is too much inconsistency in our starting line up, which inevitably leads to lack of consistency in performances as well.
  3. On another topic, I find it completely bizarre that there will be Championship matches going on during the World Cup - including on the day of the World Cup final (though we play the day before). Just very strange feeling it will be.
  4. Everything is just extremely fine margins. Yes I do believe JDT has brought a new vision in terms of how we play and most of the squad is working hard to adapt to it, and it is bringing some benefits. On the other hand...we are also relying heavily on magnificent goals from a striker that will possibly leave in January and we will be unable to replace his output, and on great saves by our GK. All of which is to say we could have very easily lost or drawn a number of the games we've won, so there has been some good fortune recently - fortune that inevitably runs out.
  5. Crazy good feeling that, beating TM with exactly the mindset he was opposed to - giving young players a try. That being said, football is crazy. A handful of times this season we've looked absolutely hopeless - yet here we are banging them in and at the top. Diaz has become an absolutely top class player, best striker in the league. Brings so much more to the team than Adam Armstrong. All that is positives. But having said that...if the ref gave Sunderland a penalty, would have been completely different game. Luck is just a massive part of football.
  6. The see-saw continues...we got a goal in and we look so solid...the opposite and we are thinking about the next game...gotta keep trying. Lowest attendance of season though?
  7. The creativity in the side is 0. It's not 1, or 2, it is actually 0. If Dack does 99% of nothing all game, the 1% he will contribute would still be a huge improvement on the current play.
  8. I love Travis' character and it is great to have someone like him as a captain. That being said...our midfield is not up to par. Travis, Morton, Buckley...none of them are good enough at this level. The way we were ragdolled by Luton was beneath anything acceptable. I don't want to fault the effort, but there isn't really any getting back from such a humbling. I would be embarrassed and angry at myself if I was so helplessly bullied on the field. January our priority must be fighters and tacklers - because we will face a lot tougher teams than Luton if were to ever progress.
  9. We are struggling to match up to Luton's physicality. It's like playing against a brick wall. We are doing ok defensively but too many misplaced passes when it matters. Not sure how we can improve, however, Gally still not on the bench.
  10. Is there no rule against throwing insulting low bids that only serve to destabalise a player? If not can we offer them 2m for Mitrovich?
  11. Hats off to Tony he must have the greatest PR manager in history. I would have thought he would have followed in the one who shall not be named's footsteps as second assistant ball boy manager in Bahrain, or wherever he ended up.
  12. I mean he may be average, but he is also right that clubs in the Premiership need insane, massive, mind-numbing investment to compete even on a basic level, when even Forest are smashing transfer records and buying a brand new squad from stars all over Europe. Imagine if we somehow found ourselves in the Prem with the investment we have now. You could stick Pep and Klopp as co-managers, I would be stunned if we stole literally a single point all season.
  13. And add Dundee United to the list of clubs where 9-0 is apparently not acceptable. Who would have known there are things like acceptable standards.
  14. Unfortunately, sadly it means that Bournemouth are a club with self-respect. With Venkys, we are not. Venkys have suffocated the life and soul of the club, to such an extent that we tolerate getting mauled by the likes of Fulham at home with 0 consequences at the time for the manager. We will never really move forward with Venkys.
  15. We should tell Liverpool to shove it. We are not their feeder club. I'd rather we go with league 1, hell league 2 players than more loan sagas that even if they work out, leave us with holes the size of the titanic before the start of a new season.
  16. As much as a likeable fellow he seems, he hasn't shown any signs of being able to roll up his sleeves and get the players fighting. Too meak, and our opponents love that.
  17. I will pay money just so we don't hear "if we play like we did in the second half we will pick up points this season." Let Mowbray spout that tripe in Sunderland. Honeymoon is over. JDT needs to show anger and fire. Needs to tear them a new one.
  18. What the frak is going on. JDT is a nice guy but if he doesn't have a hairdryer treatment to sort us in the dressing room we are going to sink like a rock. He needs to rough them up big time.
  19. As JDT rightfully points out, we have had 8 players leave, 3 come in. By my calculations that means that anything other than 5 new players coming in means we have taken a step back?
  20. However you slice it, we can't be less than two weeks away from the transfer window closing with so little investment in key areas and be told we have a 'healthy budget.' It is starting to feel like we weren't told the truth.
  21. My question tonight is the passing. Whatever the statistics show, it looked like 80% of our key passes were going wrong. Like the players had the wrong boots on or something. I cannot comprehend how the passing level dropped so, so dramatically, for everyone on the pitch? For no real reason either, Reading aren't doing all that much pressing. I don't understand.
  22. Absolutely feck off we need to leave the pitch and not return. This is not football. The FA hate us and have always hated us but enough of this rubbish. Clown show. Doesn't matter how this ends, we need to have some relf respect.
  23. Sam Gallagher Diaz! Injuries getting completely unfair though. Barely half of August gone and we have the treatment table full. We need some luck.
  24. Losing our 1 of 2 established center backs is a massive blow. You cant pickup points this way. Unless Phillips pulls out a miracle performance I'm afraid the honeymoon is ending today. We need CBs, very straight forward.
