  1. Looking at various press reports it seems more likely he was sacked due to a breakdown in relationships with the club.
  2. What about Villarreal? I hear they have an exciting new striker.
  3. Not absolutely confirmed yet but probably 23rd May.
  4. Give over. At half time we knew that if we won were still in with a chance. That seemed like a ridiculous prospect but clearly they came out to "give it a right good go" (© G Bowyer). Then they scored very quickly - at that time it was still on. By the time we got the third Sunderland were already in control and the game was up. I was fairly sure that the players knew by the time the 4th went in - surely there would have been wild celebrations if they didn't know that Sunderland were winning and there weren't particularly.
  5. No they hadn't. It was still 0-0 at Deepdale - Sunderland only scored their first 3 minutes after JRC scored.
  6. That was today. It’s League 2 tomorrow.
  7. If he does I imagine that he just needs to have a look at his bank balance.
  8. You can change your ticket, even if it’s an Advance one.
  9. I wouldn't mind him getting one or two wrong as long as it's the "right" way.
  10. I don't think it has changed anything. they were already guaranteed 3rd or 4th, so the second leg at home in the semi-finals. Rob Edwards had already said that he was likely to make some changes - the last thing they want is the likes of Carlton Morris getting a knock now. Or someone doing what Dijksteel just did and get himself banned.
  11. Not this season - 2 wins out of 2.
  12. The new stand prices are absurd at Fulham but the real issue is that they have also put up the other STs by 18% as well.
  13. AFC Fylde promoted to the National League. Bamber Bridge are in the play-off final away at Warrington Town on Monday to come up to the National League North.
  14. What would happen when weekend games are moved to a Friday or Monday night? Or moved for a cup tie? The most practical idea I think is the Rovers Trust one for fans to take out a membership at the beginning of the season for say £50 and then be able to pay a discounted price for games through the season.
  15. Rob Edwards has already indicated that he will make changes.
  16. What is going to happen between 19.30 and 21.50?
  17. I'm going to predict that we will definitely still be involved, given that we don't play until Monday. We can't be out of it by Saturday.
  18. Actually that comment was about something else offered. superniko's post is about the International ticket.
  19. I think the International ticket also suffered from the number of games on Sky. If the game is also being shown live on a local channel in another country you can't use Rovers TV. I was caught in Mallorca for the Hull game. I would have paid £10 to watch it on RoversTV but it was only a radio broadcast as Bein Sports (I think) have the rights to Championship games in Spain. My son found me another route to watch it (nudge, nudge).
  20. I forgot the point about the Riverside, which we also made, although on the more general one of having the whole stand as an entry level ST. Fraser does seem to have a handle on a lot of good data and it's pretty understandable that he won't have much local knowledge, being a Spurs fan from Bournemouth! I like the idea of a membership and discounted tickets. I might make the same point at the next FF in May.
  21. I think the Fans Forum has spoken more about season tickets and pricing more than any other subject in the time I've been on it. A few of us had a separate meeting with Paul Fielder and Fraser Read in January to give our opinions on what changes could be made. The one point that we emphasised more than anything else was the need to reduce prices, at least in early bird offers. It looks like we helped in a small way to do a little on that from this year. We have talked a few times about packages with a smaller number of games to encourage those who know that they can't make all home games in a season. There clearly would be a lot of interest in these and no doubt some of those who only come occasionally now would take them. But the overriding issue, and that I'm sure means it won't happen any time soon, is that a lot of current season ticket holders would also be very interested and would downsize their purchase as well. I always miss a number of home games each season as I'm retired and lucky enough to be able to do some travel each winter. This season I've missed 5 home games and that's pretty typical for me. Say a 15 game ticket would make financial sense for me but not for the club. We talked about the gym membership type plan in January and I got the impression that there was some interest from the club - it may well be that there was not enough time to get that set up for 23/24. I will be following it up over the Summer. Our idea was to offer a monthly fee option by direct debit, with people committing to a 12 month membership each year and being advised on the new annual rate and given a window to stop each year. I can't help feeing a £32 per month fee would be very attractive to a lot of fans. It sounds a lot less than a one-off £379 even though it's actually £5 more. We didn't talk about an unreserved seating area this time but it's another idea that is worth a revisit. I remember that we tried for a while to get one in the Darwen End of the Riverside in John Williams' and then he gazumped us by doing it in the Darwen End at the time he radically dropped ST prices. I can see our original idea being an attractive one for a number of fans - in fact on Tuesday night a number of Roverrs fans did it themselves.
  22. I would expect that, having already got a place in the play-offs, a guaranteed home tie in the second leg as well and now no chance of an automatic promotion, that Luton will be looking to not risk some of their first team players. I can't imagine that they want to risk Carlton Morris picking up an injury on Monday and putting him out of the play-offs. To a certain extent all their players will have that in the back of their minds on Monday. I can imagine that 5/6 of their squad who have been in and around the first team but primarily only making sub appearances would be a much better bet to play - they have something to prove and a desire to get into the team. I'm not sure whether that helps us much - I have no idea who those players are, but I can't see them playing a full first team at least at kick-off
  23. I think you might be counting the empty Blackburn End Upper in that 18K.
