  1. X41 from St Peter's Square at 11.11 will get you to Accrington at 12.29. Then a 7 from there at 12.38 will get you to Blackburn Bus Station by 13.19. the X41 is hourly and the 7 every 20 minutes.
  2. Whilst it is just possible that the odd train might run I would work on the principle that there won't be any and revert to buses.
  3. Coventry fans seem to be more occupied with the Wasps administration and the possible arrival of the grim reaper aka Mike Ashley at their club.
  4. Quite possibly, as there are many months in a normal season when we don't play that many games.
  5. So that's 5 more TV games on Sky between now and New Year's Day, out of a total of 8. And thanks to our cousins at the end of the M65, don't take any coins should you be getting up early to go to Sunderland on Boxing Day, or they will be confiscated.
  6. Normally it’s a great place to go to by train, as Bescot station is almost outside. But I doubt you can get back up here after a night game.
  7. If that was the case I would imagine his dad would have told him all about what a Rovers game means. in truth you will have picked up some fans from your Premier League days, just as we did. A sort of anti glory hunter. My son has a friend of a friend who went to Eton, lives in the south and had no football connection at all. He wanted a PL team to support and just put all the teams at that time and picked Rovers. To his credit he has stuck with Rovers and I think I might see him at West Ham.
  8. Our extraordinary stats continue. After 18 games, every game we have scored first we have won, every game we have conceded first we have lost. Not only that, every time we have scored first we have not been brought back to level and the opposite when we have conceded first.
  9. Matt - he already has. There's a train strike on the day of the West Ham game and a tube strike the day after.
  10. He already has Matt. Train strike on the day of the West Ham game and a tube strike the day after.
  11. You’re right that anyone who has paid for transport should be compensated but anyone who has booked train tickets from Lancashire to Coventry and back for a night game is the definition of an optimist at the moment.
  12. Noticeably there were no fringe first team players in the under 21 team tonight again.
  13. I didn’t see Vale in any pre-season games and I didn’t see anything to be excited about in his league games. But I thought in his cameo on Saturday that he did everything right given the game situation. But it’s way too early for me to have a considered long term view.
  14. I, but I see the excellently named Farah Crompton scored twice yesterday.
  15. I doubt that the only two midweek fixtures at Burnley and Coventry will have much of a bearing on our game with Hull.
  16. Was the team that ended the game possibly the youngest 11 ever to form a Rovers team in a league game? I make it an average age of 22.45.
  17. JDT wants as many of his players to be as “match ready” as possible rather than fringe first team players spending a lot of time on the bench not getting match fitness. Hence the practice over recent weeks of having 5/6 players from the first team squad in the under 21 team. But I guess that greatly reduces the opportunities for the younger players coming through to get game experience at under 21 level. So this week he looks to be playing all those who don’t get a game today in a BCD match.
  18. Run Shaw college has two weeks - this and next week. The schools will be off next week. It’s bizarre that the fixture list has games nearly every midweek in October except the one that most schools are off.
  19. School half term is next week, at least in Lancashire for the majority of schools.
  20. I would go to St Andrew’s if I were you Tyrone - we’re at home.
  21. Yes of course. My point was that they weren't playing each other at the time Lancs Police was imposing bubbles on us and Burnley.
