  1. We have a bad record against them at Ewood - haven’t won since 2015. But our record there is not bad - three wins out of the last five.
  2. Having a canal narrowboat I've spent plenty of time in and around Stoke over the years - indeed the Caldon Canal which starts in Etruria is my favourite. In particular I commend the wonderful (and wonderfully named) Holy Inadequate pub just off the A500 in Etruria. A marvellous selection of ales and craft beers and a great atmosphere.
  3. They are still working their way through them all, because there are over 100 as them.
  4. They won't be moved. If they make the sign central a number of the letters would coincide with the stairs and it will look worse than it is.
  5. There won't be anything around the remembrance events. I think things will probably coalesce around a minute's applause on the 74th minute.
  6. I first met Birdy properly on the infamous trip to Pune some 10 years or so ago. I had gone as a Fans Forum member but he turned up with a few mates who had flown out there themselves. He has also been on the Forum for a number of years subsequently and I regularly saw him at away games as well. As others have said he could be a bit awkward but his heart was very much in the right place, usually covered in a Rovers red rose. Given his history and the award he got for his efforts the club would I think be amenable to some form of action to remember him on Friday night, subject of course to the approval of his wife Annette, who of course was always at his side at games.
  7. This is the full LinkedIn post that GB made as above: - An enjoyable trip back to Norwich City yesterday, mainly due to Blackburn Rovers' performance and result. Just as great was to see the legacy that we worked so hard to build between 2012 and 2017 continue to bear fruit. A magnificent Championship debut from Jaden Warner (2002) who has had to be patient to earn his opportunity. Another player to graduate from the London recruitment programme that was the hard work of many including Jay Marshall, Ryan Gordon and Ross Embleton. From one age group Norwich City have seen first team appearances from Jon Rowe, Tony Springett, Abu Kamara, Tyrese Omotoye and now Jaden Warner. From the same group Saxon Earley continues to thrive at Plymouth Argyle and Nelson Khumbeni at Bolton Wanderers. On Wednesday night, under less favourable circumstances, it was also good to see Alex Matos continue to develop at Chelsea after his summer transfer from Norwich. Further afield, but also in the same age group, Kristian Hlynsson is now a first team regular for Ajax. When we also add Max Aarons, Jamal Lewis, Ben Godfrey, Carlton Morris, Harry Toffolo, Jacob Murphy, Josh Murphy, Adam Idah and Todd Cantwell into list you realise how privileged we were to be working at Norwich City in such a special era.
  8. I'm pretty sure that Marine to Bury is down 2 levels? Marine are Northern Premier League Premier and Bury NW Counties Premier.
  9. Assuming you mean Ethan Walker, he's on loan at Morecambe for the season. So far he's made 4 appearances and scored once.
  10. That side represented 11 changes from the previous league game (as did West Ham's).
  11. No. He had been dropped as a result of his poor form at Newcastle.
  12. Both Luton and Cockfosters will work but you're looking at up to 90 minutes travel in from there. If you use the M40 you could look at Hillingdon - it's right on the A40 just after passing the M25, has 280 spaces and you can get to Stamford Bridge in just over an hour. Ive never use dit but it looks a good bet. There will be other tube stations along that corridor you could use as well. As it's inside the M25 is your car OK to enter the ULEZ zone? If not it's a £12.50 fee.
  13. I think it's a bit more than a slight anomaly. We've scored 20 in 8 games but 12 of those were in two league cup games. So it's 8 in 6 league games, which is somewhat less impressive.
  14. I don't expect that the Met Office or any other weather forecaster, will get the forecast bang on. I do believe that the majority of the time the forecast will be broadly correct 24/48 hours ahead. It's been spot on here in Preston this morning.
  15. I don't know where the idea has come from that the weather is going to be terrible at Ewood tonight. There has certainly been a lot of rain and there is likely to be some more this afternoon but by 6pm the Met Office is forecasting sunshine with a 40% chance of a little light rain during the game.
  16. Are there any clues as to why Schumacher made 7 changes to the team who played on Saturday, including most of his forwards? They were by all accounts a bit unfortunate to lose at Preston.
  17. They are definitely there rigger - I just checked.
  18. The thing that relaxes me is that in the end it didn't affect the result, apart from goal difference. Think how much more frustrating it would have been had Boro scored again. We will get crap decisions by referees again soon, both against us and for us. The real frustration is when that decision goes on to change the result of a game.
  19. Now second on goal difference with 3 wins out of 4. I’ll ask again to get the thread changed to Rovers Women?
  20. I think the linesman thought that Pickering's slide to try to intercept the cross, had played Crooks on. You can see that on the Sky highlights. Pickering clearly wasn't playing him on but you can see why the linesman was pointing to a player. At the time Crooks put the ball in Pickering's legs were level but nowhere near when the cross was played.
  21. Mike Cheston was there.
  22. I have just had the agreed minutes for Monday's Forum. I wasn't clear when I typed the above that this was going to get in them but it has: - ND asked about the decision to let John Buckley go out on loan to Sheffield Wednesday. GB replied that John had been keen to go out on loan to get more game time. He had fallen behind Jake Garrett in the manager’s view and that it was unanimous that the players development was the priority knowing the cover that the club had in this position.
