Wot, no yellow cards? Surely shome mistake? a while back I posted that about this time last year I went away for 3 weeks and we won all 5 games we played including the cup game at Leicester. I went away again on Wednesday for a similar period and we win again. I’m away until 2nd March, just back an hour before the Swansea game. If anyone wants to country to a find to keep me away feel free. -

He scored at Ewood back in August against Walsall. -
He came on early due to the injury to Guehi. On the BBC website, notwithstanding his early mistake, he got the highest individual score from Palace fans, admittedly in a very poor set.
-
Actually what we need is a run like the one when I went away at a similar time last year. I was away for 3.5 weeks and we won 5 games in a row, 4 in the league and at Leicester in the cup.

Mostly I won’t be on the beach - that will just be the last few days of the trip.
-
It has been moved by the BBC now. Either way I'll be on the beach in Rio.

Both Rovers and the BBC have it listed at 19.45 on Wednesday 28th?

Travis was on the bench most of the first half of the season. -

My figure of 15 within 40 miles, as a direct comparison with Ipswich, had Tranmere, Stockport and Morecambe in. And it should have Bradford City as well. And Huddersfield is only 41 miles. -

It started about 2 minutes after I posted! Only about 15 minutes heavy rain although still a steadier lighter rain. -

Apart from Colchester Ipswich don't have another football league club within 40 miles. Rovers have 15 clubs within 40 miles, including 5 Premier League clubs. Suffolk has a population of about 760,000. -

Here in Preston it rained hard overnight but has done little to nothing since about 9am. The forecast fort Ewood is to rain until about 5 and then probably be much lighter. I can't see a problem with the game going ahead. The real issue these days is when you get very heavy rain immediately before and when a game is on and that doesn't look likely. -
Not very carefully then. He has played 21 first class games already. He has been a regular in the T20 competition for 2/3 seasons as well. I don't think he's played in the One Day Cup, but because he has been in the dreaded Hundred instead.

I got the info from a simple google search, but I have now looked at the rules. Split of gate receipts is 50/50 up to and including round 2. From round 3 to the quarter finals an EPL or EFL club gets 45% and a non-league team 55%. It's not specified in the rules where the other 10% goes if two EPL/EFL clubs play each other as will happen next week, but there are lots of references on google to the FA taking it. The specific rule is 22 b iii. -

For FA Cup games each club takes 45% of the takings after expenses and the FA takes the other 10%. -
I'm pretty sure that the club are right and you're wrong here Tomphil. You're right that it wasn't much different, but it would be a bit less. Tickets for the Watford game were quite a bit less than for a normal Saturday game. I would assume that it would have been priced at £25/£20/£10 as the QPR game is priced. For the Watford game it was £10/£5/£2 (ignoring the £1 for the Community Trust). So the average take per person is going to be well under half. My best guess would be say £6pp against £15pp*. Sure stop and concession profits would have closed the gap but I'm fairly sure that the total would have been "a little less" as in the quote in the minutes. None of this changes the overall view from the club that the day was a great success and indeed another day is planned before the end of the season. * That's my estimate, not based on any inside information, but in line with all I have heard over the years going back to John Williams' day.

There was a stat last year I think about how we picked up more points with Gallagher in the team than not. This season he has played some part in 4 games - 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat, so 7 points. Without him we have picked up 25 points in 22 games. If he had played all games and got the same return we would be in the play-offs right now. -
I suspect that Monday night is a very real possibility. There are currently no major games scheduled for Monday night and there is a full midweek PL fixture list, hence why no PL club cup game has been scheduled for Monday.

So are we now saying that Rovers aren't charging enough for tickets? I would imagine that what the clubs did was agree that they would charge £20 for adults at both games. I just had look at Huddersfield's website and for their next 4 home games they are charging £25 for adults, £20 for over 65s, £10 for under 11s and £15 for 12-18 year olds. They also have a cheaper offer of £15 for a small part of one of their stands. I presume Rovers have just applied their typical £20 offer with standard reductions for concessions. This means that over 65s Rovers fans paid £20 and Huddersfield over 65s will only pay £16. But on the other hand any walk-up Rovers fans will pay less for the home game than they would have for the away game. To be honest I really can't get worked up over this. Our deals are a lot better for concessions than Huddersfield's. Would we have wanted Rovers to charge young people what Huddersfield charge i.e. quite a bit more than normal?? How popular would that have been?
