  1. They brought him in with 4 games to go - as much as I dislike Allardyce, he had no chance to turn that around.
  2. Maybe they wanted to give the Championship teams the freshest pitch and the 'prime time' slot of Saturday afternoon? Being the third game in three days on Monday, I'm sure the pitch is churned up somewhat.
  3. God it's blood and thunder in L2 isn't it? I guess when you're only worth £50k rather than £50m, referees are less likely to call fouls. I think Stockport could very easily have had two straight red cards in the second half.
  4. He got the same team, playing the same system, into the playoffs last year...
  5. As someone said earlier (and as I've said multiple times) - they've just packed the side with athletes, got themselves organised and made themselves a threat from set pieces. You're always going to be there or there abouts in the Championship with those ingredients, even if it's like watching paint dry.
  6. Each to their own - I genuinely wouldn't have him back, PL LB an' all. Awful player.
  7. Their manager left Forest Green in the middle of the night to go to Watford - he's an awful person. Nathan Jones built that team - he'd have got them up this year, all the credit goes to him.
  8. We must be watching different Luton teams. We're definitely watching different Amari Bells.
  9. Coventry benefitting from handballs again - bastards.
  10. Sadly Notts Forest showed that can be done - they spent £140m+ on a brand new squad (and then some). They'll worry about that when they go up - the money on offer now is obscene and supercharges your club.
  11. Crap game of football between two poor teams so far.
  12. Two absolute nothing teams, but of the two at least Luton haven't cheated this year. Coventry should have had a points deduction at the start of the season for a failure to fulfil fixtures and of course their gobshite GK handled the ball to score a goal that kept us out of the playoffs.
  13. He was offside - VAR (which is here today) would have ruled it out. Obviously in the regular season it's a coin flip whether the linesman sees that.
  14. Appreciate this reminder - I've just had those for lunch after going to the butchers.
  15. JDT's wife is a crafty bugger. Her husband couldn't win you over with his brand of football and his cheeky smile, but she's got you all eating out of her hand with the promise of a John Bull (whatever the hell that is!) on the menu.
  16. As I've said elsewhere, I have no sympathy for any other fans after what happened to us and how we were treated by the 'football community'. If they go under, so be it - Wigan Warriors get a nice deal on their own stadium.
  17. I'll still die on a hill that we have the worst owners in football, but I might be alone on that hill these days. There have been some absolute horrors turn in in recent years.
  18. Talk of Morton being used as a makeweight for a deal with Southampton for Lavia. Sound about right - clearly Liverpool aren't as daft as we'd hoped.
  19. Nah you can tell they're all really talented players - they're going to need a kick up the backside though. The new manager has got a task on his hands, but he has a wonderfully talented squad - still needs a striker, mind and they need to stop playing Gallagher upfront. I had to chuckle when Neville realised their best player is only on loan without an option to buy - that Felix is utterly brilliant. I wonder where he'll be next season.
  20. Lampard should never get another job in football management. This incredibly talented Chelsea team look like they met for the first time on the car park before the match.
