  1. It would have to be £40m (which is all invested back into the squad) - nobody is offering that YET.
  2. He won't resign, but he'll be taking interviews in the summer. I don't think the O'Brien fiasco sickened him - the lack of a goal scorer did. He even said so in February.
  3. The words of a man that has been let down by his recruitment team and is looking for a lifeline elsewhere.
  4. Have you seen the goals that Sunderland team are scoring? That's nothing to do with the manager feeling pressure, they're just wonder strikes from outside the box from quality players.
  5. To be fair my assessment of the Rovers squad last year was that we'd need an entire new XI if we fluked promotion. With the emergence of a few of the Academy players / signings I think we'd only need 8 new starting players - progress.
  6. Another one that in the same breath both criticises the quality of the squad and the manager picking them, yet expects a Playoff run.
  7. Honestly he comes in for too much criticism on here. The formation / system does him no favours - he's not good enough on the ball to play in a 2 (hence why JDT hides him when we have possession). He's a very good Championship midfielder in a 3 (or any formation that allows him to play as a BWM) - if JDT is ruthless he moves Travis on in the summer for a decent fee and reinvests it into the squad, there's plenty of teams in this division that would love to have Travis in their side.
  8. I've been calling for it for some time. He's worked at RB, but he's not a better one that Brittain - and he has more quality on the ball than Thomas / Dolan / Hedges so should be replacing one of those further up the pitch. Obviously they've tried him at CM today and it's worked, but I don't think that's his long-term position (although I could be wrong).
  9. Of course he will - Mowbray only ever looks out for himself.
  10. Yep - good squad / utility player. His energy vs tired legs is his super power.
  11. I take if you've not actually been watching the games over the last 6 weeks?
  12. It would have been nice to get there, but we're not winning them - we don't score enough goals. I'm glad the season is over. Time to back the manager in the summer (and bloody convince him to stay!) and rebuild the forward line.
  13. To be honest we're already living my biggest fear and have been since the Venky's arrived - Rovers can't hurt me anymore.
  14. Why do you feel the need to take all the credit away from our performance? We mullered them. It was the same calibre of performance we've been putting in for months - Ben Brereton-Diaz decided to show up and we won - fancy that, a goalscorer making the difference.
  15. Honestly if we had a goal scoring #9 we'd be comfortably in the playoffs. If we had a quality wide player to go with it we'd be pushing for automatic promotion.
  16. Honestly we were the much better side all game - we gifted them two goals and the third (their first) should have been dealt with as it was a throw-in.
  17. Why? He clearly can't get around the pitch anymore. He's been a very good player for us - a legend of the last 12 years (my how far we've fallen), but he can't play in this system.
  18. The system needs two ball-playing CMs to properly work (and two athletic FBs that basically play as WBs) - it's no wonder we looked better with two CMs that can pass in there.
  19. Hedges and Dolan are useful squad players. Szmodics is a very good player at this level - he needs runners around him.
