  1. Honestly, it's over - the players looked absolutely gutted on the lap of honour. They clearly didn't want to come out.
  2. I was embarrassed for Hedges when he couldn't stand Bell up when one-on-one. That's grounds for retirement.
  3. They're just honestly not good enough. There's no shame in it as they're trying their hardest (bar Brereton-Diaz), but Mowbray left the cupboard bare.
  4. He can't score the goals for them - and I suspect he'd be our best CF if he put his boots back on. Hedges, Dolan, Gallagher, Vale and Thomas aren't goal scorers. Brereton-Diaz was before he mentally switched off when he signed his contract in Spain - oh and Dack is finished. I would have liked JDT to give Leonard more game time, but again that's asking an inexperienced 19 year old Academy graduate to win the game for you - they're already asking all of the play to go through A. Wharton.
  5. And he had us 2nd at the World Cup break. Why wasn't he backed with a quality striker on loan? Preston have 3 of them ffs. We'd be comfortably in the playoffs, if not pushing for automatics, with a goal scorer.
  6. I feel really sorry for him - he's the best manager we've had since being relegated from the PL and he simply hasn't been backed. We play some lovely football and a good number of players have improved dramatically under his guidance - I'll be sad to see him go in the summer.
  7. No he doesn't, that's why he's scored so few goals this year. Lovely goal today, but he's a shell of his former self.
  8. Which is why I'm holding off renewing my season ticket. Same as I did last year.
  9. He's a PL referee, apparently. He was terrible, like all the rest.
  10. I'm yet to see a referee that is good enough. Maybe this lad will show us how it's done.
  11. Yeah, I mean he totally didn't take over a well rounded squad from a bloke that was poached by Southampton. 👍
  12. Managers that have had time to assemble their own squads?
  13. He's getting paid £800k a week. I wouldn't call him a bargain - they're paying a premium price for a premium product, as they can.
  14. I think there's a good chance Leicester and Everton would be in serious financial trouble if they get relegated. I'm all for the PL teams sliding down the pyramid, tbh.
  15. I only use the term 'bottled' when I think players are talented enough, but lack the nerve. We simply don't have any goal scorers in the team.
  16. Seems Palace only put their wins on their YT channel. Shame, that. I'm not signing up to watch anything.
  17. I'd play Leonard at #9 with Hedges wide left and Thomas wide right. Brereton wouldn't even make the bench.
  18. It's not even a bad run - we're playing well, just nobody can put the ball in the back of the net. Speaking of, Undav scored two today for Brighton. That would have been a nice January signing.
  19. It's been death by a thousand cuts since January. There's only so many times you can roll a combination of Hedges, Dolan, Gallagher and the corpse of Brereton-Diaz out there and expect something positive to happen.
  20. I have to chuckle at everyone trying to work out the way we can sneak into the Playoffs at the end of the season. We could have been 7 points clear of the chasing pack if we'd beaten Birmingham. We simply don't score enough goals - imagine having to play Boro. They'd embarrass us. Roll on next season and, hopefully, a very productive summer transfer window.
  21. I gave up on the season when the January transfer window slammed shut without at least one striker brought in. We didn't even give ourselves a chance I'm afraid.
