I don't think he's as quick as people are hoping. Quick enough that the half a yard his skill buys him opens up a lot of options, but he's not a flying winger. I'm more interested in his quality on the ball - Dolan and Hedges have little, sadly.

We didn't look like conceding either. Neither team really got going (PNE were determined not to let us hit them on the counter) which is an unfortunate side effect of these noon kickoffs.

He gets into the team because he's a good athlete and a good footballer (touch / vision / reading of the game / work rate) - his end product is just diabolical.

I felt sorry for the Carlisle lads to be honest - Toth, McFadzean, JRC, Buckley, Cantwell (and at a stretch a highly rated Brighton loanee) is half of a Championship starting XI.

Not if he's taken off after 60 minutes. They're clearly building him up to match fitness. Remember JRC has looked like he's running in treacle through games and they gave him almost all of this game to get him back to fitness as he's at least had a pre-season.

I think he started with the wrong XI. That said he brought all of our attacking option off the bench at some point, it just didn't work - Cantwell clearly isn't match fit, Cozier-Duberry is a 19 year old playing Senior football for the first time and Weimann can't score every week. I still feel like we lack pace in the side - that changes games.

I gather that's his modus operandi regardless of the opponent away from home.

I thought we were poor across the park today - we simply didn't get going. I was disappointed that Eustace stuck with a 'winning' team - he should have been braver and started Gueye from the beginning. Hopefully Dolan and Hedges leashes are becoming shorter and shorter - they offer very little going forward.

It wasn't a foul in the first place - the biter dived. Holmes tried to play on, even though the whistle had been blown - Beck goes to kick the ball away - it's a yellow at most. The ref lost control of the game - sadly he'll turn up next Saturday to make another game about himself with no repercussions.

He's a poor football player who gets by on his work rate. He shouldn't be starting as many games as he does for us.

It's the 5 subs that are the problem. You can't wear teams down now. Unless you catch a team out with a switch of play, the extra man doesn't really factor in defensively.
