For me, I'd be pretty content if we kept what we had and got in a quality Centre half and a striker. Lenihan needs a real partner In there, with Williams, Mulgrew and the kids as back up. Should something happen to Graham, we're left with either Nuttall, Brereton or Samuel leading the line, not many goals in that lot. If the budget stretched to a centre mid then great, but i'd really like to see Travis & Davenport given a chance to forge a partnership in there, I really think they would compliment each other well.

Mowbray would probably bring Downing in to play in centre midfield rather than on the wing. Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much it just won't happen.

How on earth are we a better option than the clubs they are currently at? Said months ago that we will not be signing ready made first 11 signings, and stick by that. The team that lines up on the opening day next season will be... Raya, Nyambe, Lenihan, Williams, Bell, Bennett, Travis, Evans, Rothwell, Dack, Graham. With a few new lads on the bench who will be waiting there turn for the next 6 months.

That Maher looks good on paper, doubt it will happen though.

Not a surprise is it, despite what TM said we were never going to sign 3 or 4 ready made championship players to go straight into the side. Davenport, Chapman & Samuel will all play more of a part next season, they are our 3 main signings. Ths others will be young lads that we'll still be scrambling around to sign on August 8th, who will come in and wait there turn for 6 months before being thrown in for the last 5 or so games next season, before playing more of a part the season after, then rinse and repeat until the end of time, or at least until venkys/Mowbray get bored anyway.

The Rangers game will be a cringey one I think. Loads of lads pretending that Rangers are there "second team", singing pope songs etc. Count me out.

We wont sign either of those. Ive always thought that forward Marquiz at Doncaster would be worth a look, plays up on his own and scores a load of goals for them I'd be looking at him over Whiteman, he just strikes me as a younger Evans.

I have been saying since Samuel went down with that big injury that he will be given a chance to prove himself next season, I didn't even think of Gladwin to be honest but I guess he falls into the same category. Yeah have to agree with the above. For instance I don't think we'll look at full backs this summer, I think TM will persevere with Nyambe/Bennett for RB and Bell with Williams as cover for LB. Pretty obvious that we'll be looking for a CH, and I think we'll be looking to get a CM in too as it seems that Smallwood has finally dropped quite far down the pecking order. Seems like a GK will be coming in too, I imagine this will be a free transfer and "experienced". I'm not convinced that TM will be bringing in a CF to go straight into the team either, I think Graham will still feature a lot next season, and with Brereton, Armstrong and also Samuel coming back into the fold I think we might go until January with what we have. TM loves a number 10/Wide Striker too so I could see him maybe bringing in another one of those, because.

There is no way Bennett won't be in the team somewhere. Probably at right back or right midfield is my guess.

I'm not annoyed by the situation, I know exactly how it is these days. It's the fact that we see them same garbage like the two points I mentioned every summer no matter who is in charge, knowing full well it won't happen.

And we go along with it every time. One, we will not do our business early, and we never will under Venkys. Two, there is no way we will sign 4/5 players that will come straight into the first 11 on the first day of next season.
