  1. Don't we want this though? One of my biggest gripes with Mowbray was that he always come across too "nice". I don't want a nice man as manager, I want a winner who will snap when the time is right.
  2. They were having you on, I bought a pie and and a horrible bottle of Heineken there with cash.... Looking forward to a trip to Birmingham on Saturday, could be interesting with Stoke in the city aswell ? Not in Tony's mind he isn't.
  3. I have to agree with this, I dealt with Indians every day in my previous job and they will literally do anything to save face, cover up etc, mostly through lying through there back teeth.
  4. Yeah I was going to say, nothing to do with Chapman being injured, he's played enough under 23's and behind closed doors pre season matches now, it's just that Mowbray doesn't fancy him. I was always baffled when people thought that because we bought him that TM was going to use him regularly, he didn't trust him as a starter in league one, he wasn't suddenly going to play him every week a league higher, I said at the time, I reckon that we got him so cheap in the end that the end game was that he would be a star for the under 23's, might make a few sub appearances over time, then make a little profit on him, Similar to Nuttall.
  5. We played well last night, not a lot you can really fault from the performance apart from actually testing the keeper, our goalkeeper & Smallwood. Dreadful players that really shouldn't be playing for us again if we want to progress. The biggest thing is though, we are struggling to score goals, far too many "cute" attempts at through balls and making that final pass, we were trying to walk it in at times. I also don't see this changing anytime soon, we're in for a long frustrating season on that front I think. From what I have seen of Buckley he has looked like a lost school boy, but I thought he played well last night, some real quick feet at times and clever passes, I think I would persevere with him rather than Rothwell at the moment, who just frustrates me. JRC was really good too, problem is I don't see him getting a look in for a few months now. I'd have him on the bench every week for now and give him some sub appearances like he has been doing with Buckley. On a last point, how far down the pecking order is Chapman now? If he can't get a run out in that sort of game he should be probably be looking to move on to get his career going again, because he isn't going to feature here.
  6. Oh Sky will be absolutely loving this, it's probably got a few extra thousand eyeballs on there channel.
  7. It isn't. Only applies to league games.
  8. I always find this attitude strange, did you say the same in 2002? In the league, we're going to finish somewhere between 12 & 16th irrespective of whether we win or lose tonight. Go for it I say and lets see what happens.
  9. Who knows what team he will put out tonight. I'd hope we have some sort of mixture between fringe players and first team players. Think JRC, Nyambe, Smallwood, Buckley & Rothwell will all start.
  10. Not necessarily, clauses can be put in all loan contracts. Andy Fisher for example, has a call back clause in after one month just in case something happens to either of our goalkeepers. I also think they could be recalled from there loan, and sent elsewhere. Just like Kasey Palmer last season, and Jack Payne the year before.
  11. Yeah, I think it was us and Middlesborough around 95/96ish. Long, long time ago though.
  12. It's a nice idea, but from what we have seen of Mowbray that will never, ever happen. Strikers will be on the wings until the day he leaves the club.
  13. He's done ok. I like his battling qualities down that right hand side, good ariel presence too. You can see why it's 22 games in a row without a goal for him though, doesn't look like he'll ever score again at the minute, and that's what he will ultimately be judged on.
  14. Probably get somewhere between 1-1.5k going
  15. Look at the post above it ? Anyway, on the game, I just sit there knowing we're not going to score. Dack and Rothwell were linking up well at end of last season, yet Rothwell cant get a start now for some reason l. I applaud TM in tightening up the back line, and Walton looks an upgrade on Raya, but don't expect many goals, for me TM isn't good enough to knit it all together, so we'll either have a good defence and poor attack or vice versa, don't expect both.
  16. I'd rather Bell at left back than Bennett to be fair.
  17. Very cheap deal, that we might make a bit of profit on one day is my guess. Mowbray doesn't trust Rothwell to start games despite his end of season form last year, Chapman has absolutely no chance.
  18. I'll Mowbrays eyes, Chapman is well down the pecking order for a first team spot. Might play against Sheffield Utd but I'd be amazed if he starts a league game this side if Christmas.
  19. Surely that sort of nonesense will prepare them more than anything for the first team?
  20. Obviously rules Hart out of tomorrow. Imagine JRC being picked ahead of Bell tomorrow, it won't happen but would be a huge middle finger shown towards Bell if he was. JRC will probably take Bells place on the bench If Tosin isnt available I imagine.
  21. Well I don't think he can be recalled until January anyway, then we'll no doubt replace him with another premier league loan.
  22. Agreed, but Mowbray.
