  1. Bellamy was fantastic for me. Had that x factor and a huge will to win. Always demanding more from his teammates. Fred before my time but my grandad used to say how he was second to only Shearer in his lifetime up top. Passed away before seeing Bellamy unfortunately as he would have been right up his street. Henchoz was superb in that first season under Hodgson. A good defender who could play too. Nelsen would get the nod for me though.
  2. 3rd and 4th choice as things stand right now, but will be 1st and 2nd choice before too long.
  3. No Bellamy after the strong case on here the other day?
  4. I thought at the time that the Baradji medical had picked up an issue that could be an issue rather than him being injured right now. See how he comes through today, but if he gets through unscathed i cant see his club dropping the fee or axceptinf an alternative deal for him.
  5. I saw that earlier, it's an opinion piece rather than a transfer link.
  6. This part is definitely incorrect, all loans whether they are over or under 21 have to be registered. Still pretty certain that Leonard and Montgomery would need registering this coming season.
  7. Is this definitely correct? I was under the impression that anyone 21 and over had to be registered, which would include Leonard and Montgomery.
  8. Elliot said he was told that Baradji is seen as a "6 or a 8" (🤮) but i did wonder the same, seems to have played quite a few games at right midfield, and a few on the left over the past couple of seasons.
  9. Take Whartons case, nobody is asking for the whole fee to be reinvested, but half of that fee would have bought two very good championship players, and it's what all normal clubs do. Here though it's just a few hundred grand here and there, and pass it off as significant investment.
  10. This requires forward and proper planning, so unlikely I would suggest.
  11. I think two strikers. Leonard has to go on loan, he can't have another season here being 3rd choice at his age. I dont think we'll sign another striker though, I think Kargbo will be used there if the other two are unavailable as he played there a lot for his last club, and there's Tyjon who could be used but seems better in the "10".
  12. Yep. Everyone else bar our new signings, Atcheson and O'Riordan are out of contract 2027. I think Montgomery and Leonard would need registering this year so I count 22 players who are 21 and over there, so barring no departures enough for 3 more players.
  13. Add Hedges, Montgomery & Mullarkey-Matthews to those 5 who are included in the squad now but out of contract next summer.
  14. So Ismael has told Elliot that he would like at least two new players before the end of the window, "3 would be perfect" he says. Nothing is close.
  15. Some sketchy sources linking us to Bali Mumba and Marc Leonard this afternoon. On that RoversXtra twitter page for anyone interested.
  16. Looks promising. In reality he's a right back filling in as a right winger due to numbers. I think they will get someone in that position before the window shuts, but it won't be anyone who will come straight into the team it will be someone to back up Hedges.
  17. Isn't this just the norm with the minutes these days? They always seem to be released a few weeks after the meeting.
  18. Good. It's what this club deserves. Cynic in me says this is a way into Burnley without them paying compensation, could see him "on loan" there in 6 months.
  19. I reckon if Dolan was still here, then Hedges would still be first choice on the left.
  20. De Neve, because Dolan has left and they have had to put Hedges on the other side.
  21. I'm pretty confident that they will all be back up's, as all our other signings have been. Then those back up's will become starters next season when another load of players leave for nothing, rinse and repeat. We don't improve the first 11 here, not a priority.
  22. Out for 3 months with a stress fracture in his back.
  23. If Alebiosu came here for 500k, didn't play a game, spent a year or so out on loan, and we sold him for £2m afterwards, Chaddy would be saying it's a great move for everybody concerned.
  24. Pretty obvious that Kapaudi isn't coming now, not sure why he's still trying to push that one. Baradji I dunno, seems like they really want him, but it's a huge risk. As for Phillips, another good season at Stoke and you could be looking at selling him for £6m plus next summer, how is it a pointless signing for them if they more than double there money on him, all while probably having the majority of his wages covered for a couple of years via his loan spells? No guarentee he would have developed any better here, you're also forgetting that he's only just turned 20 years old.
