Yeah i think the £2 surcharge on home tickets this season is just a way of phasing them out completely over the next 12 months or so. -

Home match tickets you can still buy over the phone and from the shop I believe, but they charge you an extra £2 for doing so! Just away tickets that are "exclusively" online. -

Like i said, "officially" they have and that's what they are telling everyone, and steering everyone towards digital. But, as mentioned before if you ring up and explain your having problems with the website they will sell you one over the phone with a bit of persistence, as someone I know did the other week for the Preston game. -
So more resilient now than under a 2 month period from last season, or from a couple of games towards the end, where we beat the side that was second in the league in between with a back to the walls performance? What about the games I mentioned? Or all the draws under Eustace from last season? They were pretty resilient. Suppose we can pick out points at any time of any season in history where we might have lost, so there's some truth to it I suppose. Just seems to me one of those thrown out comments that gets used a lot but doesn't really mean anything. When we hit a bad run later in the season, but scab a 1-0 early next season with a huge defensive job will we be saying the same thing, ignoring the early season games from this one?

To be honest, if you ring the club up and tell them that your having problems with the website they will usually sell them over the phone for you. A mate of mine did it for the PNE game because he couldn't get the website to work. -
See this line trotted out a lot for some reason, like it's some kind of justification or something. Last season early doors we scraped to wins against Watford and Middlesbrough with both sides dominating us for the majority, and the same thing was said then that "we would have lost that last season". Yet the season before that we were scraping odd goal wins galore in the first half of the season. It's a really odd statement.
-
So were we disappointing against PNE, and did well against Burnley, or did PNE do well against us, and Burnley were disappointing against us?

I don't think I will ever get my head around this. Back in my younger days a huge part of the thrill of going to an away game was going to the ticket office and getting the match ticket in hand without the need for calling up or messing about online. -
I think people are over estimating how good they think we are because we have had a good start. Things will start to balance out soon enough on results, fully expect us to go on a bad run after this next international break with Watford, WBA & Sheffield Utd in consecutive games. I didn't watch the PNE game because it clashed with my lads kick off time, I did keep an eye on it on my phone, and even thought I thought we might win before the game, when they went to 10 men I didn't expect us to win because we're not that good. In fact as soon as it happened I envisaged them doing to us what we did to Burnley.

I took it as our under 21's will have a significant number of games coming up with all the competitions we are in so he will be needed here, rather than how many he would play for Bamber Bridge.
-
Don't really agree with that, would hopefully show the FA up for how incompetent they are.
-
Yep, this isn't aimed at @only2garners at all it's just him who I quoted, but there are far too many goalkeeping experts everywhere that have never stood in a goal in there life and have no idea what it's like. There was a documentary on BT Sport called "The Special 1" about goalkeepers not that long ago, told from the eyes of goalkeepers who have experienced highs and low's, think Rob Green was heavily involved from memory. It's a really good watch.
-
A goalkeepers job is to keep the ball out of the net by any means possible, sometimes they have to parry it out into the danger area, you are then relying on your defenders to react quicker than the forwards.
-
Strong team for todays game with Toth, Duru, Mcfadzean, JRC, Buckley, Cozier-Duberry and Cantwell all starting.
-
Yet you can't nip down and buy an away ticket from the ticket office. Ridiculous. Just on that, are the actual ticket office windows open during the week, or is everything done from the club shop? I was under the impression that they shut those ticket office windows (apart from matchdays) years ago, but that article reads like they are still open.
-
I'm wondering if JRC will come back in against these, and revert back to what the front 4 was in the first few games. JRC Dolan Hedges Gueye He should be chomping at the bit surely.
-
Haven't lost there since 2019!
-
Can see another draw here. Going for 0-0 again.

He didn't take to the Spanish league, fair enough. Players better than Ben Brereton Diaz have gone to foreign leagues and not settled. Gareth Bale once went 24 games without being on the winning side, doesn't really mean anything, He's played 4 games for his new team where his "current fanbase hate him". After his time here, you would think it wouldn't be so wise to make such a snap judgement at the start of one's career at a club, no? So no, doesn't look like his career is going down the drain at all to me.
-
How? He moved to the top division in Spain from the second tier in England, then went on loan to the top flight in England, became his teams top goalscorer despite only playing 14 games, and off the back of that has got another move to another club in the Prem? How is his career quickly going down the drain?
-
Can see the confusion, as the 02-03 game was on April 7th 2003, and the 03-04 game was on April 12th 2004. Scored 4 in both of them, both games were on Monday nights, and both were at Loftus Road!
-
Presume this will be the same for Boxing day against Sunderland then? They will give it a good go filling the whole Darwen End for a Boxing day game I'm sure.
-
If we did go up one day all those games would probably be 1230 Saturday or 2pm Sunday anyway for TV.
-
If he's getting paid more and competing in better leagues, not really downhill is it? He was Sheffield Utd's top scorer last season despite only playing 14 games.
