  1. I wouldn't say so. Ismael just isn't very good Chaddy, you figured that out after a few games but spectacularly backtracked for some reason. Granted recruitment hasn't helped him out much replacing most of our championship experience with cheap foreign punts, but still.
  2. It's like the last 15 years never happened. As has been said by many, this regime have hit the jackpot with this fanbase. We have read this script before, replacing experienced championship players with cheap foreign punts will only end up one way. Now while I dont automatically think we'll be relegated, I don't see us spending any significant time outside the bottom 6 this season. Another record broken by this ownership yesterday, it's the first time we have lost our opening two home games at this level or lower since 1956.
  3. Is that over there first 16 games each, or is it over Ismaels 16 league games vs Coyles 31 league games? I'm guessing the latter, if we're going to be fair we should compare there first 16 league games against each other. Ismael - Won 5, Drew 3, Lost 8 Coyle - Won 3, Drew 4, Lost 9 18pts from 16 games for Ismael, 13pts from 16 for Coyle.
  4. Out of habit folk still going in there is reckon. Was willing around the fanzone and the big screen was off (not that you can tell what's happening when its on anyway) then all of a sudden the Middlesbrough/Sheffield Utd game came on for the last 10 minutes. Such a odd and strange set up at the club these days.
  5. De Neve, Henriksson and Tavares are particularly poor. We're in massive trouble if those 3 end up as regulars.
  6. Sides will be licking there lips playing against a midfield with Sidnei Tavares in it this season. Funniest thing I have read/heard in ages that he's an upgrade on Travis.
  7. Yeah his dad was a really good player. Was roughly a 10-15 goal a season man at Bolton/Chelsea then his goals really dried up when he got to Barcelona. I hope he's half as good as his dad if he was to sign as I really enjoyed watching him play.
  8. Neither will end up here I'm pretty sure about that.
  9. That weird RoversXtra X account says we are trying to sign Bailey Cadamarteri from Sheff Wed on a permanent deal before loaning him back to Wednesday for the season. No sources or anything though.
  10. I think it will end up with... Leonard staying No strikers signed Midfielder on loan in on deadline day, not Browne.
  11. If that is true then Leonard won't be going there. MacAnthoney isnt one to be messed about, especially not by inexperienced know nothings like Pasha.
  12. Yep. Personally dont think there's anything in Soumano, Smit or Gudjohnson, few more random names will come out yet.
  13. Nixon linking us with a striker every hour in the hope that he gets one right.
  14. I have a similar opinion to Mani on Leonard. The big if, is his body holding up to play most games in a 46 game season when he is first choice. There is definitely something to work with there. Loan would have been ideal, but as said above I suspect its not purely football reasons this one. Good luck to him, if his body holds up, by time he's 25/26 I could see him being a 10/15 goal a season man at this level.
  15. Not sure he would qualify for a ESC place?
  16. Soumano isn't happening at £5m, not sure why he's desperately trying to push that it might. He was like this with Kapaudi, even carrying on for a good week after we had signed McLoughlin when it was clear he was the alternative. Didn't have a clue with Morishita, was still trying to push Afolayan was an option yesterday. As for Browne, they aren't signing a 30 year old for any kind of cash, and Sunderland will no doubt want ris of him permanently with who they have bought in.
  17. 1 at best i feel. Certainly can't see 3 coming in.
  18. He's also taking credit for Adam Whartons debut on Big Sams podcast.
  19. To be fair all those you have named bar Lenihan went on to play in the top flight, something they wouldn't have done if they hung around here for any longer. Think it's a bit of a myth that nobody ever achieves anything when leaving here, playing in the top flight is more than this sorry effort of a club will ever do.
  20. No he's absolutely correct on the John McGinn story. We had the chance to sign him very early in the window but Mowbray told him he was coming in as back up to what we already had (Smallwood & Evans). He did end up signing for Villa in that window, in mid August. We ended up with Reed on loan instead, who was miles better than those pair but as you say spent most of his time out wide. A very strange manager/character Mowbray, I personally dont particularly like or dislike him, but his constant sniping at the fans when in one of his many death spirals with "not 1995 anymore" ""I'm a development coach" " I dont work on set pieces" "I dont look at league tables" etc always left a bad taste in my mouth. Also the constant complaining that he was away from home all the time like he was doing us a huge favour, he took the job! Then ended up at Birmingham and West Brom years later that were even further away. Also encouraging his own staff leaving the club for Sunderland because "they are a huge tank coming past our knackered little car". People are too gushy over a 3rd division promotion when it comes to Mowbray for me. He did an ok job for around 24-30 months, then massively outstayed his welcome.
  21. Plus we haven't beat Norwich at Ewood since our Premier League days. Seem to be a bogey side at home for us, but funnily enough we seem to have done ok at there place in the venkys era.
  22. Notice how it doesn't say that he's welcome back at Ewood any time like "Bucko" is.
  23. Seen a few say that, there was still 4000ish Wednesday fans there though. Full boycotts will never happen anywhere in football as folk love going too much, Blackpool came the closest with Oyston in charge, but they still had anywhere between 1000-3000 there each week.
  24. Going back to Rudy's disastrous podcast appearances back in April, a striker was part of the plan then. He mentioned all the positions he would like to sign and a Striker was right up there. For some reason, that was quietly dropped (probably budget problems?) But now seems to have crept back on the radar again. For me we desperately need a new central striker to compliment what we have.
