  1. Yep, following up on my similar comments to yours. His signings probably make for a sackable offence alone. Leo for half a million is probably the worst of them. Number one target and definitely a vampire keeper. I can see no value in keeping him based on what he’s delivered. I would think JDT could have picked up some better players through his contacts.
  2. I still find it odd that someone who likes the sound of his own voice as much has boughton does has been silent since the mess occurred which he said could never happen again. After his statements from last year his position is untenable. He took the blame for Sylvesters cock up last year and assured us that it couldn’t happen again. That alone means it’s time up for him as well. His silence probably speaks volumes. I’m guessing he’s agreeing a package to leave.
  3. And still not a word from Boughton. Surely after all the shit he spouted about putting things in place he should be called to task on this.
  4. You also had us to spend £10m plus in the transfer window mate. Doesn’t mean it will happen.
  5. J*B last paragraph is interesting. Something that they have agreed not to share yet, that sounds awfully like a manager having the boot.
  6. He played last night. He can’t be that far away surely!
  7. Absolutely. When we’d agreed a fee for about half this previously.
  8. Good news going through thanks to the Reading win. Wonder when the draw takes place
  9. I think Chaddy got the number of signings he was expecting but hoping his realism over the last couple of days continues and he can see the window for the failure it was. I was slightly happier about Fleck until I heard that he’s been out injured most of the season and has managed 89 minutes in total so far since August 😞
  10. Technically Fleck isn’t a loan.
  11. Played a good number of games in the championship last season. Will be a useful player for us over the coming months. We’re still weaker but I’d say it’s an ok end to the window. Think the Liverpool lad will be a squad filler after reading a few comments so he’s the one I’m probably least convinced by.
  12. John Fleck. Decent signing who will be coming to start
  13. Let’s hope it’s a good one. One good loan signing could be the difference. A top quality loan (Doak or someone of that calibre) could end on a positive.
  14. My only hope with McGuire is that he wants to learn. JDT wasn’t a bad striker and could improve him as long as his attitude is right and he’s keen to learn. It will be a step up for him but at least it’s not stepping up from youth football.
  15. Ennis would have had a signing on bonus so I doubt we’ve even broke even on that deal.
  16. We are considerably weaker coming out of the window than when we went into it. There’s no doubt in my mind that we haven’t strengthened.
  17. If the Liverpool lad is that bad it’ll be spotted pretty quickly in training and I would imagine he’ll be nowhere near our starting line up.
  18. Exactly what I said earlier Jim. He’d have better contacts and be able to judge a player better than the evidence points towards GB being able to.
  19. Not sure if you’ve still blocked me for questioning some of your previous statements. But if you haven’t, serious question, do you feel this is the case? Do you feel that the recruitment in this window and the last ones has fitted the way we play football. Im struggling to work out where a 37 year old CB fits with ‘the model’ or where Ennis fitted with that same model.
  20. I know we’ve gone down this wonderful and fashionable head coach and DOF model. But you can’t tell me that JDT couldn’t have picked up some better players than the ones being pushed on him. Plodders and kids. GB hasn’t given us a single decent signing. I give him no credit for Sammy as that was the previous scouting. Only here is he somehow still in a job. Yet again we come out of a January window weaker than we went in to it while all around us have strengthened.
  21. Kiefer Moore to Ipswich on loan looks better business for them than Gallagher.
  22. But we had no need to pull the deal. He was mid flight. We had until this morning to sort the mess out. It just makes us look inept. Will he really want to sign for us now?
  23. I wonder if the owners really don’t get the reputational damage they are doing. We won’t even get conversations with players and agents if this carries on. They could maybe get away with the O’Brien stuff and blame it on the big bad FA. They can’t with this. They got the player on a flight and changed their mind mid way through his journey. Other players, clubs and agents will refuse to deal with us. We won’t even be able to sign players as we won’t even get the conversations with clubs as we’ll be seen as time wasters and Charlatans. It’s worrying. I wonder if they culture from the owners is one of a lack of respect to the minions (players/agents) that they are dealing with.
  24. When Chaddy criticises the club you know they have got something badly wrong. We have to hope that it is all down to a miscommunication as clearly any incoming would depend on Wharton going. If that deal hasn’t happened then we have to hope that Maguire’s representatives have been informed of that and they’ve potentially used it to secure a back up plan should the Wharton money not be forthcoming, I do wonder if there is anything in the moving of the court case to March. Would it be harder to argue that we need £11m to keep the lights on if we’d just spent £3m or so on a new signing. Could there be concerns that they will not be able to argue their case on that basis. If it is the worse case scenario then you have to expect GB and JDT to walk. Neither can do their job on this basis.
  25. So you think that we get paid in instalments but have to pay for the players we are signing up front?? Can you see where that falls down a little?
