It’s a strange one. Finally a youth player has a great loan at a decent level and then we let them go. Just seems odd. I wonder if he wouldn’t sign a new deal or we were low balling him with a crap offer.

Weimann could be a key player for us. I know he’s getting towards the end of his career but last season he was on loan at a play-off team and then went to the euros as part of a decent Austria squad. The least risky signing out of the ones we’ve made this summer. The two forwards could be amazing or awful, we just don’t know enough about them.

It’s a strange league, season before BBD hit 20 goals he couldn’t hit a barn door, 22-23 season Sammy looked bang average, who’s to know if we may have a player step up this season. We just don’t know.

I reckon Weimann will be our best signing this summer. Went to the euros with Austria and even got a few minutes of match time. Ended the season at a play off team after getting a couple of goals for them. Think he could be a really good signing for us

I’d argue that we haven’t even touched the Gallagher money. We sold Telelovic and Whalstadt for fees already, there’s probably the best part of a million quid there.

At the moment we’ve not really strengthened from the end of last season. The squad is still light but I’m guessing we’ll sort some loans out towards the end of the window when the scraps drop from the premier league table 😞

I’d take Fadz or Batth but not both. I think it needs to be one or the other. The potential areas for strengthening in the FF minutes is interesting. Based on outgoings you’d have to read that as us wanting another 5 or so players. At present we’ve replaced two outgoings in Gally and Telelovic with the two new guys. I’d say that still leaves us needing 5 based on the FF minutes. Keeper is the key one for me now. Not bloody Ruddy either. Looked awful here last year.

My main concern is that it’s late on to add an unknown quantity into the mix. Would have been ideal for him to play a part in pre season. It’s going to be very much a case of sink or swim.

Wasn’t Gallagher always rumoured to be one of our higher earners as well? Guessing that will help if we are looking at bringing in a free transfer as the wage may be higher.

If it’s not nailed down then it’s for sale. The club are making that clear to buying clubs by leaving players out to avoid the risk of injury.

Well it produced a player in both squads of the Euro finals this year so it’s done something right.
