The Summer Transfer Window (Press Submit)

Thought he looked poor when they visited us this season. I would have snapped him up a few seasons ago but feel his best days are behind him. -

His car analogy was absolutely spot on though. It probably doesn’t need explaining but it’s based on you saying the team is in a good state and then saying we need 7 or 8 signings. The car analogy was based on a car being in a good state despite needing 5 or 6 major additions. Im pretty sure everyone got it apart from you though. -
And if he’s not it makes an absolute mockery out of us loaning players out. He’s gone out and been arguably their best player for a season whilst playing at a good level. He should be pushing for a starting position this season now.

I’d be going for Johansson early doors and try to get that done. A strong keeper will make the existing back 4/5 look much more settled. Bad keepers have an impact on the back line as the players are second guessing their decisions. The keeper is the first we need to sort. -

Agree that Rathbone has probably been highlighted as his dad played for us but he does seem to have been one of their better players (along with their keeper). Those mentioning Jordan James can probably think again as I’m sure he’s destined for better things. I’ll ask his dad if I see him on the dog walk later lol. What will happen with Trav? Ipswich won’t sign him. He went there to play more games and ended up playing 20 minutes in their last 11 matches. He played a lot more football here in the first half of the season. I’m sure Eustace would have spoken to him and I do think he may be more of a eustace type of player, a bit more blood and thunder. If he comes back then I don’t see us signing another central midfielder. -

Would we look at Oli Rathbone from Rotherham? -

Stansfield would be excellent and he’s worked with Eustace so could be interested. Will we go for Ruddy in goal? I didn’t think he’d had a great season at Birmingham but I could see him coming in. Pears was good again today but has too many mistakes in him. -

Agree Mercer. I’ve zero confidence in Boughton actually bringing in the quality for us to get to the heady heights of mid table! He’s had three windows (I think) and apart from the extremely well publicised fuck ups I don’t think he’s actually bought any real quality in. Maybe he gets credit for Tronstad but that’s probably about it. We don’t just need one or two in the summer. We need 4 or 5 starters at a minimum. -

I don’t come on here that often and I reckon I’ve seen you say it 5 or 6 times. If you didn’t post 1000 odd posts a day I’d go back and find them all. -

Dom Hyam is back then. That’s his fault more than Pears for me. Pears gets it to him and he needs to get a boot through it. -

Scott Wharton was definitely thrown in goal when him and Adam used to kick about in the garden!! -
Mustupha Bundu played for Hereford a few years ago when he was at the local sports college. He’d come from Sierra Leone (think it may have been part of Craig Bellemys foundation). Ended up signing for Anderlecht which was a fair step up from non league. Was really hoping he’d have a shocker tonight and instead he scores a cracker. That goal is bad for us on so many levels. Means Leicester are likely to need a win on the last day and Plymouth May well be clear of us. It’s looking bad 😞

Wharton must have been carrying a knock or something. I see no reason why he gets hauled off instead of Hyam otherwise. Seen the Eustace interview and he talks the talk again. However he’s just not good enough. None of them are! -

Birmingham have Norwich on the last game while we play Leicester. Tough end for the pair of us. There new owners were announcing plans for a 50k capacity stadium before the match tonight and talking about how their plans to build the club won’t change with relegation…. Where were ours?? I know a lot of blues fans who are full of support of the new owners. Higher income than any other team outside the parachute payment clubs this season (according to them anyway). -

Blatant. He misses the ball completely. On first watch I thought he caught the ball but he doesn’t. The Bristol player hits it and then Hyam brings him down. -
Well he definitely wasn’t on speed during his time here!

Rovers Rumours & Speculation
Ricky replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I think the reason you’ve been questioned a bit on it is because you’ve suggested money available for transfers but in the next breath said that the money we’ve bought in from the transfers will be used for running costs as we can’t get money from India until late August. I think that’s the issue. The money can’t be used twice (unless you think there’s enough for both which I can’t see tbf). -
Bristol city ticket what a joke

I’m still deciding if I’ll make the trip from Hereford. Wednesdays are a bit manic with the kids clubs so the wife will need to do all of the pick ups. It is however my Birthday on Thursday so I may be able to use that as an excuse lol -

Of course it’s backed up on here, it’s a fans site lol. Fact is that he doesn’t have to be right in front of the keeper, it’s about being in his peripheral vision. Sammy jumps over the bloody ball, of course he’s interfering. You’d be crying if that goal was given against us. Same with the Wharton foul. It’s a clear foul on the keeper. No doubt about it at all. They should have had a pen when the absolutely hapless Callum Brittain decided to just pull Broadbent back. You would have been sobbing into your blue and white tinted glasses if that had been at the other end!!! The only one that I struggled to understand was the foul on Pickering after the ball had been played. He seemed to be taken out but nobody seemed to say much about it. The ball had gone but I’ve seen those given. Pleased i took the 16/1 on relegation now. It’s nailed on after this new clown at the helm has proven that he can’t get a note out of the depleted squad either. It’s on Venkys, we’ve sold and sold and sold but not been able to bring in any real quality in the areas needed. We spunked all of our budget on an even worse keeper than Pears!!! Fuck knows how we managed to do that!!!
