  1. Didn’t we lose all those games at Ewood? (Plus PNE).
  2. The only time it hasn’t happened is in seasons we haven’t needed to due to huge amounts of ST holders - I.e 95/96, ‘Taking Back Ewood’ late 2000s era. A ground that was built for a top PL side, not one with fans paying big prices in the second division year after year after a decade of farcical ownership. So of course we have a plethora of spare seats and as long as that remains the case I can’t see any regime not flogging the full end, easy cash.
  3. Makes me laugh how modern keepers punch and punch… until defending a lead late on, they then suddenly remember how to catch again (with elaborate falls to the ground wasting thirty seconds) 😅
  4. Is he thick? He is if you think he is trying to act in the best long term interests of BRFC, but just happens to make bad decisions time after time. I’d say Waggott makes decisions for Waggott, and will be leaving here (at some point) very well compensated.. so who’s the fool?
  5. End of the day it’s a second division game, on Sky at Sunday dinner priced at £25-£30, it’s not a game that’s suddenly going to attract hordes of Rovers-adjacent folk who haven’t been in years (so no purchase record) - a promotion party game a la Oxford or a cup tie against a Liverpool maybe a different issue.
  6. A lot of fans across the EFL might not twig this summer, but certainly after a season of the majority of their Saturday games being on TV, as well as all midweeks, quite a few may knock their STs on the head the summer after.
  7. TM pretty much ran the place, so Academy boss too, obviously.
  8. He was excellent at Anfield yesterday, the lad is well at home already just out of his teens - but all that matters to us is 1) was it a good price? 2) Will any of the amount we did actually get be spent on the side? And we all know the answer to both.
  9. £18million is pocket change for PL clubs, they had our pants down, and why wouldn’t they, it’s what you do with distressed sellers.
  10. The ITV show started off like they gave a shit, not as good as the Colin Murray show, largely because you could tell he actually cared about the football pyramid unlike the fella from talksport they now use. However, now they don’t even bother with guests or a studio… presumably because they are soon out of contract with the EFL and won’t be renewing it - BBQ! (Bring Back Quest)
  11. Imagine a tad frustrating for you guys, it’s even in the tag line ‘takeover’, obviously that means different folk/fans must have been involved than the usual club operation.
  12. Get all that Mike, but reading the EFL press release that reads as if it was a pure club initiative (which to be fair isn’t the club’s fault), when in reality if left to the club there would’ve been no initiative at all.
  13. Glory hunters are obviously an issue here too, but the core support for local clubs is still strong. A decent sized town in England with a league club will be well supported - the same sized town in Scotland generally won’t be as they can’t get a look in over the Old Firm, with obvious detriment to the game up there.
  14. ‘Blackburn Rovers targeted a takeover’… If only.
  15. Bit of an overreaction from ARA there. 😅 Of course that wasn’t aimed at exiled fans that obviously keep connected/keep supporting their motherland team. It was aimed at the towns of Scotland that empty with folk off to Glasgow every weekend as their home town clubs’ grounds (in decent sized towns) rattle around with one man and his dog in them).
  16. Plenty of top players moved to Rangers in the 90s and early 00s when they were chucking money about.
  17. Of course some of these die hards (specifically the Scottish based ones) could try supporting their local teams and maybe Scottish football wouldn’t be so skewed…
  18. It’s the Championship for you, inconsistent players, that’s why they are down here. Look at Sunderland, we spanked them at their place last week, they won at a top 6 side yesterday.
  19. We’ve not had that kind of turn out ever since 2012 (Oxford aside) so obviously it won’t be happening on Sunday.
  20. True Chadster, Palace had some cash, we’ve bills to pay as our owners aren’t paying them, so off he goes to the first bidder.
  21. 30k?! So the highest crowd in about 10/15 years? Wouldn’t have been anywhere close even at 3pm considering £25-£30 tickets. The only chance go get anything like a c24k gate would’ve been tenner tickets.
  22. Obviously no sympathy but the refs adding time for such things didn’t last long, as expected.
  23. Waiting for what league we’ll be in? So why didn’t he sign before Christmas when we were nowhere near relegation then?
  24. End of the day the majority of match goers at a club like Rovers would much prefer to see Eustace or Mogga football than what they deemed JDT’s to be - i’e “pissing about wi’ it”. People on here might not get it, but that’s been my observation.
