It’s all about priorities, most football clubs put in the effort to go in to bat for their fans, the whole point of a football club. Waggott’s ‘effort’ is to squeeze out as much dosh as possible out of big away followings, he has literally zero interest in the Rovers travelling support. In Swag’s cold calculations, what relevance do a relatively small number of people getting a train/coach over to Leeds then ripped off at Elland Road on a random Saturday have to him? The bloke is purely here as a hired hand to tick the club over for far away, uninterested owners, he has zero feeling or passion for Blackburn Rovers and it’s supporters.

Started 19 league games in 2022/23 (subbed off in all 19), 13 starts in 21/22 (subbed off in 12). *Disclaimer, lies, damn lies and all that. Bit more meat on the bones. He played more than 70 minutes 11 times in 22/23 league games. 12 times in 21/22.

Last season all three promoted sides stayed up with a bit to spare, so its not as black and white as made out re gulfs.

I know it’s hard for folk abroad to understand but a load of football fans here don’t have Sky and generally aren’t particularly interested in the PL. Now I do have it but even I’m well out the loop, the World Cup proved that when the commentators would go ‘here’s player x of Aston Villa/Fulham/West Ham’ and I honestly wouldn’t have recognised them if they’d walked past me.

All a calculation to Swag, coining it in from 7300 travelling Leeds fans at full whack compared to not allowing 1500 or so Rovers away fans to be ripped off (that he doesn’t make a penny out of either way)? No brainer.

Why is it hard to understand? Opinions on politics, music, films etc etc vary widely. Why would football be different?

Chadster is defending a one way of playing that even JDT would change if he’d have had the option to bring in a proper centre forward. Wait till January when JDT says as much again and he’ll be all ‘yeah we defo need to look for a big forward to go plan b like the manager says’.

The away support average will improve with more northern/midland games from now on. We’ve had a shed load of long distance games so far. The home support… well, there’s no point going around that buoy again. We all know the issue there.

He didn’t get dropped. He was having a poor run supposedly due to playing with an injury, he was excellent prior to that. He’s far superior to these two (oh and Raya dropped a few clangers himself, that’s modern goalkeeping for you).
