  1. No talking generally, I suppose dying young Lennon has kept that mystique.
  2. I’m more defending our Macca who I’ve always felt is a bit unfairly maligned as a songwriter in comparison to Lennon. I’ll leave the Modfather debate to you more qualified folk!
  3. To be fair ‘Written by Lennon-McCartney’ was largely a business arrangement from two individual songwriters post about 1965.
  4. Indeed, a regular JDT comment is ‘it’s not about these great young lads we have, it’s about who we don’t have’… think its fairly obvious what he’s getting at (well to most people).
  5. Amazing how the Chadster won’t budge from the club line even an inch… well it isn’t amazing at all really, is it. 🦜
  6. Defo Longsider ‘ever so ‘umble’ vibes with this one… now where’s he gone again? 😁
  7. How? We’ve spent the entire time in Championship mid table. So it kept us out of L1? Then tremendous, but not sure that’s why the money was shelled out on the likes of BBD and Gallagher.
  8. We have more young lads involved with our first team than most in PL2, ergo it impacts our U21s more than most, so as I say good job relegation is off the table.
  9. We could do a lot of things re comfort if we owned our own bus. This weekend, for example I imagine somebody else is using it, like for the FA Cup final when some United fans rented it… though I suppose they would enjoy some lie flat seats and physio tables after 8 pints.
  10. Or perhaps we just aren’t good enough because so many of our better young lads are in the first team squad, that’s certainly not the case for the Man City’s of this world… so good job we won’t get relegated out of the top league as a result of it, no?
  11. How does that work if it’s the same competition rules for every team?
  12. Why are you baffled by the fact experienced Championship centre forwards can have an impact in Championship games?
  13. Good job they scrapped the relegation a few on here were railing against 😬
  14. All about opinions, but for me Be Here Now is a pretty big drop off in quality from Definitely Maybe, Morning Glory and even the B-Sides from that era.
  15. Could things have been changed up on the night? Of course, managers have to make many decisions in that 90 minutes, JDT got some wrong. But we will finish outside the play offs because of a small, inexperienced and unbalanced squad, and that is on the owners. The fact we even look towards the top 6 at all is because of JDT, without him we’d be looking the other way.
  16. Unless you make it to a national paper/broadcast media, there’s bugger all money in local journalism, so you did right!
  17. He’s doing well, he’s a teenager playing week in week out in a tough league, it’s exactly what PL clubs want to see. Of course there will be interest, promising England youth internationals are hoovered up by PL clubs. Though I suppose it depends what you mean by ‘decent’, as say, £9/10 million is pocket change to them, but will do bugger all for our team when it disappears into the famed running costs.
  18. Be Here Now absolutely brilliant?! Even Noel said it was an overblown mess due to the industrial amounts of coke they were consuming. The Masterplan collection of B-Sides was a far better album.
  19. Highest win percentage of any Rovers manager post Kenny…
  20. You don’t say! Though this place is to put across your opinion, not regurgitating the manager’s.
  21. If that’s what India want, that’s what India will get. The BCCI controls the whole sport, the ICC just get to organise competitions on their behalf.
  22. He was the set piece coach at one point, if they’ve actually recruited someone specifically for it yet I’ve no idea. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23545658.blackburn-rovers-searching-vital-backroom-team-appointment/
  23. These players are putting in unacceptable performances? Give over. They are working hard and playing well. In a decent position with a load of the season to go. BTW - The bench is an example of a weak squad, strong squads on the whole get promoted as its a 50+ game season. It’s not about who was on the bench and who might have come on in a one off game.
  24. Obviously, but that wasn’t how he put it , he said JDT was ‘incredible hype over results’. That just isn’t the case. Now if he said ‘I’m sick of losing at home as they are the games I see’, then fair enough, we all want to watch wins at Ewood and skip up Livesey Branch, but that’s football.
  25. And we’ve won plenty away, it’s about all results if you are going to come out with stuff like ‘he’s incredible hype over actual results’, not just the ones you’re sat at.
