  1. As was Gallagher but they still got him re-signed up early (he had two years left on his existing deal).
  2. Google doesn’t even bring up anything for that. Obviously just making them up now, like we do at work with corporate jargon.
  3. No issue, if you believe you’ve spotted a value price, have a bet, it’s punting 101.
  4. Half the problem is who are you going to replace him with? In previous eras you would have round after round of Championship fixtures in high summer, so selectors could spot in form players to bring in (and send struggling ones back to their county to try and regain some form)… Now? There will not be a single Championship game in August so they can shoehorn in the county game killer all month.
  5. Just the £150 million spent by Forest on transfer fees (and then think of the wages) Best stay up…
  6. How do you ‘slow build’ in the Championship when more than half the team fecks off every season? It’s a ‘rebuild’ each time.
  7. So with the one blocker out the way, we’ve plenty to get excited about over the next two weeks…
  8. I keep reading how it was TM refusing to spend the owners’ cash (only manager I’ve ever heard of in history who doesn’t want to spend on players, but let’s go with it). JDT and GB obviously do want to spend, so I’m looking forward to plenty coming in by the 1st of September.
  9. Crawley has an average in first class cricket of 29. A Test average of 26. He has some decent shots in his locker, but he is nowhere near Test standard currently. He may come again after a year or two back in county cricket, but for now, enough is enough
  10. 1,200 - cracking turnout for a midweek down there.
  11. If Broughton is ‘a dud’, ‘an Academy man trying to learn on the job’, that is obviously down to the owners, as they have appointed somebody wholly unsuitable. The buck stops with them, always. (Far too early to judge GB, by the way).
  12. The club has to protect its assets, especially one that cost £7million. SG hasn’t exactly ripped up any trees, and there was some moaning on here when he signed a new deal last season, but so what if anonymous folk on a message board grumbled about it? The club was perfectly right to get him signed up and the exact same thing should’ve gone on with BB in 2021.
  13. It’s because rovers99 still really rates him.
  14. Please note this match is not being broadcast in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland neither on Sky Sports Red Button or RoyalsTV. This was on Reading’s site, so I presume the same stands for RoversTV.
  15. Not bothered if it takes a visit from the Angel Gabriel, Vishnu, or Glen Mullan himself for him to get the message as long as he finally bloody does.
  16. I believe not for this round of fixtures as it’s an ‘extra’ midweek due to the World Cup.
  17. Straight on general sale, so JR’s point stands about the club going back on their 1875 terms already. Obviously anybody that wants a ticket will get one, but that’s the case for pretty much every game anyway.
  18. Unless I’m reading it wrong is it not because Bradford are selling them directly and not sending any over? Not sure how logistically possible it is and/or if they would allow the away tickets to be sold in a tiered system?
  19. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/20657719.blackburn-rovers-make-permanent-darwen-end-switch-away-fans/ The comments… ‘great decision’, ‘brilliant’, ‘good idea by the club’. However, if the club had decided to keep them up there it would’ve been… ‘great decision’, ‘brilliant’, ‘good idea by the club’.
  20. Does the captain have an office too?
  21. ‘Marginal gains’ was Swag’s explanation. Him and Mogga must’ve been to a Dave Brailsford seminar.
  22. No you didn’t, you said yesterday that you didn’t raise any of the ticket ideas you had in the end.
  23. Glad you enjoyed it, but it is fairly obvious that all those issues you had planned to raise (the actual point of you organising it in the first place and you had some good ideas on ticketing etc), were kept in your pocket as you got quickly sidetracked by Charming Steve as he held court for an hour. Never mind, you won’t be the first or last that will happen to.
  24. Whoa, don’t give them ideas, NEVER post goal music!
  25. Why has number ‘6’ become the accepted holding midfielder number anyway in the tactics/boffins world? I’m sure number ‘4’ was always more for midfielders previously, with 6 being for centre halves? Or at least a bit of crossover between the two? Hoddle, Viera, Makelele, Zanetti, Gerrard (for England). Closer to home Sherwood, Cowans. #restorethe4
