Swansea/Cardiff still do… line of stewards. Burnley/Blackburn Rovers at Turf Moor… line of stewards.

We rest a load of players today and as a result don’t win the most winnable game. We then play our best side in the following two against a couple of the league’s best teams and win neither of those too - be a bit silly, wouldn’t it? -
If looks like I’m talking to myself earlier up the thread. Why have MCM’s posts been removed?
-
I’m being positive, I want as many Rovers fans there as possible.
-
Pretty much every big derby had a shared stand with just a few limes of stewards/coppers separating. Not here though, obviously. Surprised they’ve not put barbed wire/police watch towers up 1970s Belfast style between the three stands.

All so they don’t need to man the away ticket office for a couple of hours. -
Of course, but no chance that will happen at this stage, they’ll hide behind ‘safety’ and ‘logistics’, however the JWL and Riverside they have absolutely no excuses for.
-
But the real win is that we’ve sold a ‘1,000 hospitality places’ as Sufi keeps tweeting… a load of them are to Dingles, but hey ho, think of the strutting him and Swag can do through the lounges in their club ties, never mind the 500 seats you won’t sell to your own fans.
-
A sensible club would say this today; ”After discussions with the Safety Advisory Group we have now secured a further and *final* release of seats in the Jack Walker Lower and Riverside. On sale now, don’t miss out!” Face saved and as many Rovers fans as possible now get to see the game… of course the likes of Swag and Sufi aren’t interested.

Yep. Like I said the other day month after month the FF minutes note ‘can’t’ on repeat.

Artey the Badge! The original and best. -
This turnout has surprised me (massively), but I can’t say the Sunderland game was too surprising. It was our first Boxing Day game (*the* fixture for high attendances across English football) that we could go to at Ewood for 7 years, the team is doing well and it was only priced at Cat B.
-
Their ground holds 22k, they only have to give 2.2k to away fans as per the EFL regs, they know they can sell 20k tickets to their own fans currently so we get 2.2k. No issue with that, why should they give anymore?
-
It’s ‘advice’, but they ‘must’ adhere to it apparently. Funny that the pre this shower such advice was either not given or ignored - I.e 2009, when, shock horror, not only did they not net off areas of the JW and Riverside, Rovers fans were actually in the *same* stand as them 😱

⬆️ Told ya 😅 -
Of course, CAN’T, ‘police’ ‘advice’ etc. Though Lancs Constabulary East Division that also oversees Turf Moor has no issue with about a foot between the two sets of fans at their place…
-
Rigger being Rigger. Most odd though that Dolan’s replacement is spending the season in League 2.
-
Week to go and there is obviously still demand. The club *must* get the 5/600 or so they’ve held back on sale in the morning.
-
To be fair Andy must have only just missed the new stand being renamed from the Riverside initially. 1990/91 when the shoddy thing opened as the Wakersteel (crazily only three years older than the new Darwen End).

As they are pros and we wouldn’t get near them in 5 a side every player is therefore fantastic and should be described as such. -
You said he was the ready made replacement for Dolan. Apologies if I misinterpreted that as you meaning Markanday is Championship ready.
-
Indeed. Weird place to send a Championship ready player though ay?
-
Their place has home and away fans pretty much side by side in the same stand. We need 1,500+ netted off seats across three separate stands, because?

Yes, yes it does. Close the board to non ST holders. (Though actually I was just having a laugh with ‘99er as the Chadster asks him if bought one on pretty much a weekly basis) -

In the ground? From your season ticket seat by any chance, ‘99? 🤔
