  1. Yeah don’t think Lineker and his podcast empire has anything to worry about just yet…
  2. The famous ‘chosen for foreign broadcast’. Be queuing up the get in the bars of Singapore for Birmingham V Lincoln…
  3. End of the day players will get grief on social media if they aren’t performing nowt you can do about that. But he gets a bloody good reception week in week out at Ewood considering he’s done bigger all, for what, two plus years now?
  4. No scrunched up pieces of paper this window? Shearer opening it up, “It’s a loan of Dion Sanderson 🤷‍♂️”
  5. Another example of our Big Club in a Small Town
  6. A Mark Hughes (or a Gordon Cowans) would have the forum delighted. Alas such examples are that of top quality footballers (who have an expectation to be remunerated accordingly), so it’s more likely a Gordon Greer here…
  7. Be plenty of former Blues in that lot…
  8. Serious question. Does it not get a tad boring tubbing sides with League 1/2 budgets 5-0 every week? Yes another title, wooo! Stick it to the Huns! But a little empty after a while?
  9. Come on, he did bring in that waster Tronstadt.
  10. Why not, M*B, worth a try, still can’t see them launching it in the summer for a full season over a limited time ‘The Run In’ style offer, but who knows. But a full season of what they’ve just launched (I.e sit anywhere), no chance,
  11. You are suggesting a small area of the ground for flexi tickets, I’m talking about an extension of the offer they’ve just launched (which covers all three stands) for a full season. Your example, I wouldn’t move to some seat in the corner of the Riverside or whatever (if say that’s where this small flexi area would be). However, my example, if it was for the whole ground for a full season and you could save a fair deal of cash by opting out of the night games you usually don’t go to anyway (as thousands swerve already) then I’d definitely think about knocking the ST on the head - which is why they won’t do it.
  12. It won’t happen for a full season. No way will they take the risk of cannibalising ST sales, they have their ticket income targets to hit and they know c9k STs at £350-£500 will do that. The obvious solution is to just make STs cheaper so if you can’t make a few games it’s still worth buying one. It’s that simple - but refer back to paragraph one for why they won’t do that either.
  13. They won’t open the upper tier permanently until demand is significantly higher. More likely they’d close the Riverside.
  14. Sheff Utd v Cardiff on a Thursday night… The Magic of the Cup, ay…
  15. I think it's a great idea for fans. If they brought one out in the summer even I (as a ST holder for decades) would probably get one as getting to night games is a right faff for me, so a cheaper 16 game flexi ticket instead? Nice one. So ergo ST sales would collapse as thousands would be in the same boat and night match crowds would be down at 5/6,000 as folk will be 'flexing' to the day games instead. If the club isn't bothered about said collapse in ST sales, maybe they'll still offer one to cover the full season in the summer, but I'd be amazed if they did.
  16. Nick Collins, his nemesis! (I’m going back to bed for a little cry now).
  17. His face used to have that constant smirk that was saying ‘yer getting feck all from me’.
  18. That’s fanbases. Some are committed to going to games every week more than others are. Crowds will be bigger for one off bigger games, or every week if you make season tickets significantly cheaper or if you get success (I.e you end up in the PL). The way it is, the way it’s always been. No point getting irate about it.
  19. Ian Wright left the BBC/MOTD recently, from memory. As for Murphy, jobs for the boys in the media. Micah Richards is another example of that, pops up everywhere.
  20. Got in a Wiki wormhole like you do re this Greenland stuff. JDT = time traveller. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danish_people_in_Greenland
  21. Only in VenkyWorld would a CEO have to get transactions big or small approved by his COO…
  22. …which they won’t do anyway as they are ‘critical friends’.
