It doesn’t say anything, just what we already know, I.e basket case, Bowyer paying for training faciltities etc. They've no intel to why he finally walked yesterday.

Darwen End Closure / New Singing Section
Mattyblue replied to pk1875's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Around 2006-2007, one or two seasons, just before the Taking Back Ewood campaign. -
Course it will, no code of Omerta at Bloomfield Road!
-
Whatever the reasons it meant we didn’t strengthen, ergo we fell away.

Supposedly he had a meeting with Oyston today - being transfer deadline week, perhaps he was told nobody can be brought in or someone to be sold was the final straw? I imagine the truth will leak out of that madhouse.

No he’s saying you improve your side from a position of strength. He then outlined who from that side could potentially have been improved on. It’s what elite clubs do and unfortunately we rested on our laurels in the summer of 1995 and our position at the top of the game went in a flash.

Darwen End Closure / New Singing Section
Mattyblue replied to pk1875's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I’m not against the closure of the Darwen End, I believe concentrating the home support into fewer areas is for the best. However, using these supposed massive away supports as the main reason for doing it is disingenuous. The standard away allocation was one half of the bottom tier and the top tier, if required, so not far off 5,500 seats. I’m still to be convinced that even half of all these clubs being mentioned will be bringing more than that... -
£18 is a great price... unless you take a couple of kids with you!

Excellent Test match at Edgbaston. Lets hope for more of the same, especially as I'll be at Trent Bridge day 2 and 3!

Squad numbers obviously mean bugger all these days, but the fact he's number 7 suggests he will be playing wide again...

Some consultation with the Darwen Enders pre STs going on sale could have helped. -
Why do we concede so many last minute goals?
Mattyblue replied to Alex Rover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Get your point Ian, but I think late goals are slightly different. Remember 'Fergie Time' and all that, nowt to do with luck (or refs! ), his team scored a load of last minute goals because they were very fit players with a never say die attitude. By the same token, a team that concedes a load of last minute goals wil be lacking something -

I doubt it, the top 6 have gone off on another trajectory completely. Best of the rest? Possibly. -
Was it not because yesterday was the global EFL live game?

Get away! Was it?

“Who needs that Yank when we’ve got John Phelan?!’’

Of course, probably not the best team talk though!

Just spotted this, not the greatest man management from Lambert... http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16389387.Ex-Rangers_star_Charlie_Adam_hits_back_at_Stoke_boss_Paul_Lambert_for_Shaqiri_swipe/

Darwen End Closure / New Singing Section

Loads of Championship clubs have the capacity to give bigger away followings than the standard 3k maximum, but it only seems to be the Lanky clubs that actually do - Rovers, PNE, Bolton, Wigan. -
Darwen End Closure / New Singing Section
Mattyblue replied to pk1875's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
If an away side sell out the top tier at Millwall, that’s it, you don’t get the bottom tier too. Now that’s partly down to ensuring the Bushwackers don’t have a ruckus, but it also means the away side don’t attack a packed end of their support. But that just doesn’t come into the thinking with us, as Stuart says a full Darwen End 4/5 tines a season will be part of the club’s budgeting for the season. -
So we don’t just get a total budget that’s agreed at the Pune summer meeting?
