  1. They have a few outlying offices. For example their Lytham one they share a building with about 10 others on the edge of The Green (and it’s isn’t a particularly big building). They are an east Lancs firm largely operating in east Lancs, with a few small footprints elsewhere - nowt wrong with that, but they obviously aren’t going to be paying sums of any note, they just won’t have the marketing budget..
  2. If a local firm of solicitors have paid the biggest sponsorship sum since this lot bought the club 14 long years ago it says a lot about what’s transpired on their watch.
  3. The only cheap tickets they’ve offered are for kids… and they’ve sold very well by all accounts. I’d say the argument for cheap tickets all round can now continue.
  4. Indeed, I’ve always found the ticket office staff very helpful. Yes IT can fail, yet it’s frustrating, but why cut your nose off if it’s something you’ve wanted to do for you and your daughter?
  5. Get your frustration, but could you just not give them a ring in the morning?
  6. Obviously we don’t know yet by how much that 10,969 will be whittled down by non renewers.
  7. So 1500 newbies as we had 9,400 ST holders last season.
  8. They still have last season’s ST seats greyed out currently so I suppose it would show how many newbies have bought.
  9. Do players ever criticise a manager in public before they leave post?
  10. So reductions work… who knew!
  11. 7,300 early birds last season so it will be interesting to see what the figure is tomorrow presuming they don’t extend it (and if they release the latest figure, which in fairness they have been forthcoming with for once this summer).
  12. Can still get one at early bird prices as of this morning - come on Rovers do the sensible thing and extend it out.
  13. …and Grasshoppers Zurich just like our shared Subbuteo pack.
  14. Think that was you being negative, I have more my faith in our support.
  15. We almost won the league in 94 too, the only reason gates jumped to that extent is that the ground wasn’t half built by 94/95. So your original point that we doubled our gates on promotion was wrong, do better Doogs.
  16. No they didn’t. 91/92, Second Division, 13,000 average. 92/93 Premier League 16,000 average.
  17. There is another scenario; reduce prices significantly, then of course you are selling plenty more than 7/8/9k, we flog that already.
  18. You could well be right, so let’s try and test the water (they won’t).
  19. I don’t particularly think we’ve ever been that well run when it comes to attracting sponsors and the like. Even in the days of Williams, as canny as he was with attracting managers and players (obviously the most important thing) and an environment that was all about enabling the best possible outcome on the pitch, I always felt the club commercially had a bit of a small time mentality and it was all a bit cosy and complacent down there on that side (Beamo at al) - this regime has obviously taken that to far deeper depths.
  20. Yep if you came out with that in 2010 then there would’ve been some high ground to lecture folk from, 2024? Nah sorry dally.
  21. I don’t doubt there are people out there that honestly do mean it, but these owners aren’t budging. So what’s the solution? Plod along with 7/8/9,000 ST holders indefinitely or do we try something a la PNE, Hudds, Bolton. PNE went from just 8,000 ST holders to their highest average crowd for sixty years overnight. We still have a sizeable floating support regardless of a few hundred folk pretending they’re/actually boycotting. Why not give it a go? We do, and we still struggle to get close to 12k or so - then I’ll hold my hands up and say fair enough what’s the point until these owners fuck off, (or we end up in the PL by some miracle and then it obviously looks after itself.)
  22. Yep, good bunch, I’ve used them myself. But just look at it from that firm’s perspective, they obviously aren’t going to have a marketing budget of any real clout when it comes to one of the biggest leagues in European football, why would they, they are local solicitors. The club talks a load of waffle about revenue generation, metrics, and loads of other corporate jargon in the FF minutes and the like but the proof is in the pudding when it comes to actual sponsors and bums on seats.
  23. This place isn’t remotely representative of the fanbase. My view is folk actually boycotting because of the owners (and will return as soon as they go) is minuscule. You think there are a vast amount of fans like a coiled spring just waiting to part with their £350-£450 to watch a middling second division team that now happens to be Venky free. But me and you will go round in circles on this until the club actually tries cheap tickets.
