  1. Which is what Bolton (and PNE to a lesser extent) are finding, price them in the £200-£299 bracket and folk will think ‘well I will miss a fair few but feck it, I’ll get one anyway at that price’.
  2. Depends on what games were involved, if it was just a general ‘pick 15 games flexi ticket’ etc, the club wouldn’t go near it as an idea they know fans will choose a flexi over a full ST in big numbers, and night games, for example, would see a complete collapse in attendance - even I would probably get a flexi like that instead as night games are a right faff for me.
  3. Reduce adult prices significantly and/or success on the pitch (both being the sweet spot, I.e Taking Back Ewood) is the ONLY way crowds significantly grow at a club like this. These owners won’t provide either, so nothing will change. I’ve made my peace with that we won’t see option 1 until at least Swag fecks off, we won’t see 2 or 1 and 2 until the owners do.
  4. I accept that managers make big blunders all the time, JDT certainly wasn’t immune from that.
  5. Not really comparable as he’d spent two years as a Premier League regular at Sunderland and had played for England.
  6. A club with a small time, feeder club mentality throughout… contrast it to the years running up to BRFC being sold when this club existed to be the very best it could be, currently being documented on the Nostalgia Thread.
  7. It’s just part of the game that a keeper can’t afford to make mistakes at the rate of outfield players, as obviously they will get punished far more often. Pears makes too many basic ones and the number of them isn’t decreasing from what I’ve seen.
  8. Money won’t be a problem? Excellent!
  9. Will that 8% lead to a decent rise in STs sold for next season, do you think?
  10. Weren’t you wanting a new keeper before the Leo rumours?
  11. ‘If he’s crap he wouldn’t be at this level’ Aye, certainly no examples I can think of this club employing people out of their depth.
  12. Because it was Blackburn Rovers to Crystal Palace. Say it was Sunderland to Liverpool, imagine the difference.
  13. 24 quid off a season ticket is probably the best they could’ve got from that very strange set up down there. But once again why does it take volunteers to even get them to remotely see sense? Why are paid marketing and sales people (and their CEO) not coming to these conclusions themselves?
  14. Anybody preferring Pears to TK sounds pretty strange to me.
  15. BBC Six O’Clock News are doing a piece this evening on the ‘meteoric rise of Adam Wharton’… ‘Nowt wrong with the price’.
  16. I would seriously question someone’s basic football knowledge if they for even a millisecond thought Pears was in the same goalkeeping universe as TK.
  17. From memory wasn’t it more when TK was back fit that ‘Pears hasn’t done owt wrong to be dropped’. My view was you play your best players, end of… and Pears wasn’t one of them.
  18. We sold 7k in 2021/22 and a standard home turn out was under 10k, so certainly will be the case next season if we stumble to that kind of sales figure again.
  19. Kids prices, very good, no question. But a few weeks to buy a £350-£450 adult ST (before they go up 80 quid) after a shocking season and half the games on Sky is just not going to move the dial, simple as that.
  20. Surely not, what about ‘the model’?
  21. I’ll remind you of that when you are saying he ‘should’ve gone years ago’ in about four days time 😅
  22. Obviously not a Rovers invention, but early bird what a load of BS. One price until they go off sale and market the feck out of them, pretty simple really. Here, a few social media posts and that's that before they whack them up 80 quid.
  23. How many people do you *actually* think are ‘boycotting’ because of the owners? It’s been a minimum *12 years* since gates fell off a cliff, these ten thousand folk are still patiently waiting with their cash in their pocket? So they sell, but tickets are still priced at what they are, we are still a bottom half second division club, but gates still boom because of this army across the water?
